Good kosher mexican

We went out with our family and we loved it. Coming from abroad we do not have such good kosher mexican so it was a real treat. The big nacho plate was our fave! We will be back!

Food was not exciting and prepared like they did not care

Place was dirty. The staff were arguing with each other loudly behind the counter. My food was basically thrown in a net style basket with a piece of wax paper. Totally un-appetizing. Sloppy and dirty. Stay away.

Decent food for a quick meal

I have been here many times for lunch and dinner. The food is decent for adults, but kids really like it. The best move is to go for lunch on weekdays when they have the lunch specials, a very good deal.

Expensive kosher Mexican food

I like the food quality but the prices are expensive for just a sandwich. The front counter staff are disappointing apathetic disinterested and should learn to smile.

New owners turn a great restaurant terrible!

It USE TO BE a great restaurant. But since it was sold to new owners, it's been terrrible. The food isn't as good and the new staff doesn't seem to menu (the new manager insisted my order was correct and the bandito beef burrito contains shredded meat, not ground beef, but the menu clearly says otherwise). If you place an order for takeout, make sure you double check what they give you, because chances are at least one or more items will either be wrong or left out! I'm so disappointed because this use to be our favorite place to eat. I really hope they can get the quality back up to where it was under the previous owners.

Needs Improvement

This restaurant needs improvement in every way. The food was very mediocre, the person at the counter was totally disinterested and was not cordial at all, and it was the same with the person on the phone when I called to inquire about the operating hours. The table was dirty and I cleaned it myself with wipes that I had in my bag. There were two flies surrounding our table at all times. The chili was bad and the empanadas were mediocre. Lots of mediocre french fries.

Good Kosher Mexican Food

Never really a fan of Mexican food, maybe because I never really tried it. At the urging of my whole family, kids and grandkids, we had dinner here one night a few weeks ago. I was very surprised that I liked it! I had a big salad with loads of stuff, guacamole and pieces of beef. It was delicious! Everyone loved what they ordered and the place was packed. I have been back twice, both times for takeout, ordering different things because I could not remember my original order and the menu is pretty big. Both takeouts were pretty delicious. I don't know what the non-kosher Mexican food experience is, but this kosher one is pretty good.

Awesome!

Great Mexican food! One of the only kosher Mexican restaurants I have seen. There is a wide variety of food, and it is not too expensive either. I highly recommend the buffalo fingers, and this place is one of my favorites!

Kosher TEXMEX, the best we can do

For a family of five Carlos and Gabbys is *sigh* reasonably priced for a kosher restaurant. Since it is kosher, no cheese or dairy since this is a meat establishment. The food is ok. We love the spicey fries, but the regular ones are also great. My favorite thing on the menu is the chicken platter, which is HUGE, comes with two pieces of chicke, roasted veggies, french fries and a small salad. Great deal for the money. My husband loves the ribs, which is also a big portion and comes with mashed potatoes and a salad. The place is clean, and the staff is friendly. Order at the counter, and they will call your name. Watch out though, there is a high school near by and it can get very crowded!

Unexpectedly excellent!

When they first opened, it was such a treat to finally have kosher mexican, and not too bad. But it went down hill. On a lark, we went to Carlos and Gabby tonight, AND IT WAS FANTASTIC!! Highly recommend the nachos grande and popcorn chicken. Burritos were serviceable. Overall we were so happy.

Good food but good luck with seating

Went to this restaurant with whole family. We had to stand by the door and vulture for a free table. Very casual - you order your food at the counter and they call your name for pickup. On a Sunday night with soooo many kids they never get to sweep the floor. But the food was good - yummy boneless shortribs and the awesome nachos were a family favorite. No reservations but maybe order to take out.
