Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A great place for breakfast or lunch. The breakfast menu is a little limited, with bagels, muffins or bagel breakfast sandwiches, but what delicious sandwiches! Coffee choices include light, medium or dark roasts. The lunch menu includes many delicious sandwiches and salads. And then there’s the art work! Highly recommended!!

Love this place! I have been visiting for years and very happily go back. The drinks and food are yummy and staff is lovely. They also have live music and artwork. This is a lovely and low key establishment that can be enjoyed alone or with friends. Oh, and if you like chai lattes, try one, you won’t regret it.
Thank you Carol’s for providing consistent good service and goods. I will definitely go back.

We are from Bavaria and were only some days in Owego. We went in just by accident. We liked it very much, especially when Greg played the gituar and sang his songs. A bit of our hearts is still here. Thank you Greg and Carol and Claudy.

ok, so I hadn't been back to Owego since pre-Covid. Decided to pick up a late lunch before visiting family. My other favorite lunch spot was already closed, so went here on a whim- WOWZA! So glad I did! live music on a Sat afternoon by Greg Neff- so enjoyed that while waiting in line. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the artwork by Carol is lively and colorful ....and the food! Homemade desserts that looked delectable, 4 homemade soups to choose fro., homemade bagels- (I bought a half dozen), and all the salads and soups have artists' last names. I had a VanGogh on whole wheat. usually served on sourdough, which I'm sure is delicious too. Roasted thickly sliced turkey, lettuce- organic , tomato and mayo- I also opted for avocado. Sides were a slice of dill pickle and chips. I also bought the butter it squash soup and chili for my sis. They also serve a "flight" of 3 soups which I would be game for on another day. And the COFFEE- There are over 40 flavors of Toriano syrup- lattes, cappachinos, straight up coffee- totally delightful. I opted for a pound of Carol's Ethiopian whole bean. So good- medium roast and smooth like butter. I definitely will be back!!! Especially if the musician is playing!!!

Should you be in Owego, New York, you might want to stop at Carol’s Café and Art Bar on Front Street. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by a friendly staff. The walls are covered with Carol’s art work and the smell of fresh roasted coffee and baked goods including the café’s signature homemade bagels made fresh daily which greet you. There is comfortable seating with soft background music in the mornings and live music from noon till three most afternoons. Carol’s has a nice selection of homemade soups, sandwiches, cakes, pies, muffins, breads, cookies and various other pastries to satisfy the most particular palate. Prices are reasonable, service is impeccable and the drinks and food excellent whether you eat in and soak up the music, art and conversations with the local patrons and staff or you just want to pick up coffee and a sandwich to take out. For many, Carol’s is one of those highlights of the week one enjoys when they go out to get some fresh air. And with the Susquehanna river walk nearby when weather permits along with the many boutiques nearby on Front Street it is a great place to go for a relaxing day out. So, if you happen to be in the area stop by Carol’s, you won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I lived in Owego for 15 years before moving to Ohio 4 years ago. We used to love this little coffee shop, so we had to go back while on a weekend visit. I fondly remembered their chai latte, so we both had one. It still is some of the best chai I've ever had! It was a wonderful atmosphere that brought back great memories.

I had the creamy mushroom soup which was wonderful! My sister loved her sandwich, the Rembrandt. We enjoyed all the lovely artwork covering the walls and live music too!

We were happy to see a coffee shop in the quaint little town of Owego where we might be able to sit outdoors with our pup. There was only one table, which was occupied, but fortunately the people left while we were still approaching. Coffee options were varied and they were willing to experiment based on our suggestions. A very enjoyable experience right across from the river.

Stopped in for a break while traveling home from Philadelphia to Rochester, NY and was greeted by the friendly welcoming staff and owner. The coffee shop offered amazing options for treats to go with the freshly brewed specialty coffee, making it almost impossible to choose.

I have eaten many bagels and I have to say these are the best. Went for lunch but the bagels looked so good we decided to have coffee and a bagel. Absolutely delicious. As we were enjoying what we ordered we saw other food delivered to other tables and it all looked great. I would highly recommend this little cafe. The next day as we traveled back thru Owego we stopped to take some home. Cant wait to go back.

It's a 6 maybe a 10.
Incredible food. Great atmosphere. Wonderful coffee, and biscotti.
Probably the best breakfast bagel I have ever had. The bacon is incredible.
I can't wait to go back.
We drove 30 minutes to eat here after friends told us about it. Well worth the drive. If you like art, that's a bonus.
