At first glance, the dining room is not impressive and looks more like an office lunchroom than a restaurant. However, the Chicken Sorrentino we ordered was delicious, and came with warm, homemade bread, a salad, and a dessert. The Chianti was a very generous pour for the price. The server was friendly and attentive. Overall, an experience that exceeded our initial expectations.

We chose this restaurant at random the last day of our visit to Niagara. On arriving we learned it was the last day of the season before they closed, so we were not expecting much. So we were certainly surprised that it would turn out to be one of the highlights of our visit. The food was fantastic and authentic, from the hot, fresh-baked bread, to the complimentary canolis, and the delicious entrees (I can personally recommend the flavorful Rigatoni vodka). The portions were neither too large nor too small — a real rarity in any restaurant. But the best part of the visit was undoubtedly our waiter, Greg. He gave excellent service, for which I am thankful, but what really made him unique was his completely genuine and human character. We are so used to waiters who, even when they are charming, are almost uniformly artificial to some degree, but this was not the case with Greg, nor was his clear care for and love of the restaurant. I think this was by far my favorite restaurant experience of all time, and if I ever come back will be sure to pay a return visit to La Cucina do Mamma.

First, the restaurant is open for inside dining but only has 3 tables. Our meals were among the best Italian food we have ever had, including during many visits to Italy. Chef Angelo produced outstanding dishes for all three of us. The room is unpretentious with an old fashioned victrola spinning out classic tunes from old 78s. The pasta putanesca was to die for. The chicken sorentino also. Likewise the mussels appetizer was sufficient to be an entree - probably 1 full pound of mussels. We would go back in a heartbeat.

This is a tiny, hidden gem indeed! It was within walking distance of our hotel, and just so charming with the old Victrola record player playing old records with songs from the 40s and 50s. The Sicilian food is outstanding! We enjoyed Rice Balls for an appetizer, and split the lasagne for an entree. There is enough food for two on these plates, and the server split the plates for us before serving without an additional charge. Then he brought us delicious cannoli for dessert - crispy shells with creamy filling and chocolate chips. Highly recommend, but get there early, they only had 7 tables.

A cozy restaurant, delicious, authentic Italian food and wine with warm, friendly service. The first night my friend and I had the spaghetti puttanesca, which was outstanding. We also enjoyed the fresh, homemade bread, mixed greens salad and surprise complimentary cannolis for dessert. We loved it so much we went back again the next evening to try different dishes, which were also fantastic (lasagna and penne vodka). There could be a slight wait because the restaurant is small, but any wait is definitely worth it. We found it to be fairly priced as well, and enjoyed the music coming from the record player above the beverage fridge. Highly recommend!

We ate here with some friends on a Thursday evening. We had to wait about 10 minutes to get in. this is a very small operation and everything is cooked to order it seems. Our waiter was definitely running a little bit ragged and hustling. The lady in the kitchen heard there was a little girl with us and she was so nice to bring a handful of markers so that our friend could draw on the paper tablecloth while we were waiting. I thought that was a very nice touch. The food varied here. I got cheese ravioli and tomato sauce and I didn't think it was that great. My husband got the lasagna and he really loved it. This has a different name written on the door than what is on the sign, something with a V. Don't get confused. It's also inside of a hotel.

The waiter, Greg, and the chef were more than welcoming! We did not have a reservation and they squeezed us in without compromising the reservations they already had in place! We so appreciated it since it had been a very long day for my family. They jumped into action and within seconds arranged for us to dine in! The chef prepared a variety of delicious meals and Greg was spot on in his attentiveness , especially to the small details! We so enjoyed our visit and the old fashion care we were given. The restaurant was homey with sounds of Italian selections playing in the background. A wonderful ambiance with genuine hospitality made for a winning combination! I’d recommend it highly!

My family has traveled extensively throughout Italy and consider ourselves foodies. This restaurant surpassed our expectations and delighted us from beginning to end. Let’s start with the server, Greg ( by the way this operation is a 2 man show with only 8 tables). He was personable, attentive and friendly. He made us feel like regulars or part of the family. The food was amazing, starting with calamari and some fresh baked bread, salads and 3 fabulous entrees. My wife had eggplant parmigiana ( she says the best ever, note- no breadcrumbs and it’s much better that way). My daughter had the puttanesca which was truly done Sicilian style and had robust but not overbearing flavors with a side of meatballs. I enjoyed the lasagna which was huge and delicious The sauce was amazing on all the dishes, wonderfully homemade with love. Another hot loaf of bread was served to soak up the extra sauce and just like the 1st one it was piping hot fresh out of the oven. As we were finishing up Greg brought out an order of complementary homemade cannoli’s. Wow. All the ingredients are sourced from Italy and served fresh to order. If you’re in the mood for Italian food and want something truly authentic then look no further. This restaurant is so good it’s worth traveling thousands of miles for dinner. I’m not sure when but I’ll be back. Until then, go enjoy the finest Italian food this side of the Atlantic Ocean. Oh, total price $85.32. AMAZING

I visited with my friend for her birthday and I have to say that the staff absolutely made our experience. The atmosphere is very small and close together but the environment feels like you’re eating at home. Our server was an absolute delight and was so sweet to us. The chef frequently walked around checking on tables himself asking about the food. The food was absolutely INSANE and I got to eat one of the best margherita pizzas i’ve had in a while. 10/10 recommend giving them a chance

We saw the restaurant when we were coming back from our tour today. We love Italian and always try to support establishments which aren’t chains. It’s small (8 tables). One person being host, server and busses. We could see the kitchen and it was also small. Olive oil on the table (which we used for the hot, fresh bread). I ordered the eggplant parmagiano and my better half ordered the chicken parmagiano. Each came with a small house salad—the salad was simple yet delicious! Our entrees were fantastic. The eggplant was not breaded which I really appreciated. The chicken was tender and flavorful. My better half told our server (didn’t catch his name) that he contemplated getting the spaghetti and meatballs. Our server let us know they were homemade and brought a complimentary one—-so delicious. And not dense—juicy and tender.

This restaurant is a hidden gem of Niagara Falls. If you love fresh, home cooked, authentic, Italian food, you’ve came to the right place. I’ve been a loyal, return guest of this restaurant for over 10 years. They’ve switched names of the restaurant, but the chef, Angelo, remains the same. He’s the best of the best, and Greg, the head server, delivers great hospitality, customer service, recommendations, and professionalism. I ordered Chicken Parmesan, meatballs, and stuffed banana peppers… (and canoli’s for dessert) and they were all top notch. I can’t say enough great things about this restaurant. If you’re deciding on a place to eat, look no further. GO! You will NOT be disappointed…

When we rolled into town the concierge at our hotel advised us that there was a delicious, authentic, italian restaraunt at the corner of one of the hotels. Since italian food is our favorite cuisine we decided to save that for our last evening in the area. We showed up after their opening hours & the only waitress was sitting in the hallway with other patrons waiting for the owner/chef to open up. The waiting area was next to the pool of a hotel. Not that there is anything wrong with this but the environment did not scream this is "fine dining". Upon entry there was one waitress with 6 tables (almost full capacity) right from the get go. She did not address them in the order arrived but did her best to address everyone. The food was tasty although I'm not sure I would descibe it as authentic italian cuisine. The portion was small in comparison to the price. The atmosphere was less than "fine dining". However, the entire experience was without incident. I would say enjoyable but nothing extrodinairy.

The restaurant and menu is very small but the food is phenomenal! We had a few appetizers, pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, pasta vodka and ravioli. All of it was delicious and the service was great! The waiter was very attentive. We were so full at the end that we decided to forgo desert, but they sent out 5 homemade cannolis. We had to make room for those. If you want great food... go there! The prices are great too! As an aside... we all complimented chef and my aunt asked what tomatoes he used the sauce. So he gave her a can to take home. That was so nice.

My wife and I had delicious pasta dinners which were served with hot rolls, garden salads with house Italian dressing and family recipe tiramisu desserts. Nina provided the warm friendly service for the evening and her brother Angela did the cooking. A hidden gem in the Niagra Falls area for sure. We will be back soon!

This cozy Italian eatery serves world-class cuisine in a friendly setting. After a long day of hiking and touring, my family sat down at the last table available and we’re greeted by the friendly wait staff. After her recommendation, I ordered the chicken parmigiana and the cutlet was not only tender & juicy with the right amount of sauce, but was also large enough to share. Ending our day at la Cucina di Mamma was a perfect way to unwind, relax & enjoy outstanding food and service. Bravo to the chef!
