It's been awhile

Haven't visited Outback for awhile and now wondering why we waited so long. Ordered a small steak, perfectly cooked, huge baked potato with the orksxsnd seasonal vegetables. Also ordered the steak salad, which was also a hit. Unfortunately, their smoker was broken, so couldn't enjoy their smoked cocktail. Angela provided friendly attentive service. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Turn It Down!

If only they didn't play such loud music this place would be great. It is well located near hotels and a main road. Our server was exceptional even reminding us that we were entitled to a discount as AARP members and the food was done perfectly as we ordered it. But the music prevented us from having a conversation and we left without ordering coffee or dessert as the atmosphere was so unpleasant due to the very loud music.

They excel at mediocrity

Stopped in for dinner and a beverage. The waitress was really cool and very polite which was the highlight. The food also was cool and sorta bland which was a lowlight. The beverages were pretty good. Five bucks for the local draft. The burger and steaks didn't have any flavor at all. We spent eighty bucks on three dinners and three beers throw in the twenty bucks for a tip and that's a hondo not well spent. I would recommend going to five guys and saving fifty bucks. Definitely a let down.

Prime rib fatty and tough. The steak and shrimp (tough) needs little less time on the fire. Coming from Long Island our standards are a bit higher when it comes to sea food. Thats why we dont eat where fish is cooked frozen and microwaved like R_d Lobst_r. Food at outback was pricy. We have one in Holbrook long island. Salmon and shrimp, was amazing. So chef may have made the difference or use of fresh fish i am hoping is the answer. Mashed potatoes were cooked froze individually and microwaved when ordered. This wont change so i will not be back to Middletown outback Steakhouse. Staff was very good, cant fault those who served the meals or took the order.

Profit over Quality

It's been a long time since I've been here and it will be a longer time before I go back. I stopped going when they reduced the size of the "Rack o' Ribs". Now they don't even serve the ribs. In fact there is no lamb at all on the menu. An Austrailan restaurant without lamb is like an Italian restaurant without spaghetti. No shrimp on the barbie anymore either and the famous Bloomin Onion is $10. Imagine ten bucks for an onion in Onion country? In fact not much except over priced steaks. I couldn't get a medium rare Prime rib sandwich. They only offer only medium well, so I was forced to shell out $15 for a hamburger. Someone must have dropped the peppercorn shaker in it because it was too spicy to enjoy. It was topped with "Hot"sauce that made it inedible. My wife ordered a sirlion that came encrusted in pepper! Is this a Mexican restaurant ? She asked for a take out box and brought it home and washed it off and reheated it. The sour cream on the baked potato was so skimpy you'd hardly notice it. Folks ought to be able to salt and pepper their own steaks. The only redeeming grace was the cheerful and prompt waitress. As they were only half full on a Sunday night while we couldn't get intoTexas roadhouse, I expect the outback will soon go the way of the late Howard Johnson chain.

Bar Service not so good.

The outback menu, food I have no complaints. You’ve been to one them you know all of them. My concern was the bar tenders were not very attentive. Ask for a water when I sat down and decided on a cocktail. I never received water and took a long long time for a second drink. I even push the glass towards the bar indicating I was empty. It appeared if you were not a local person they essentially ignored you. At one point three young men came in. They were attempting to hit on the bartender and apparently they knew each other. They continued to say how drunk they were and had been drinking all morning. One of them yelled loudly at the bartender by name. Then they begin picking on a 74-year-old man who also was a local on the other side of the bar. At that point myself and two other people all non related persons and looked to be there solo we all asked for the check and left. If you’re looking to have a few drinks at the bar as you travel through on business go somewhere else.

Definitely worth a try!

Our server was outstanding not that this was a surprise as we have noted that service is superior here. They offer a nice selection of well priced lunch offerings. The potato soup was excellent and our grilled chicken and shrimp were done perfectly.

Not what I ordered

I ordered a filet with extra veggies, extra butter and sour cream, plus extra salt. What I received was a filet (done well), with a salad. No veggies, no butter, sour cream, etc. How hard was this order for the staff?!

Great Steak

Came here for dinner had the sirloin, JP and salad. Could not be faulted and was cooked to perfection. Simple, easy and did what it said on the tin. Nice size portions too and not overfaced. Great service from Tiffany, she couldn’t do enough!

My family and I went to Outback for dinner we had the nicest waiter name Jonathan he was friendly and attentive made the dining experience a pleasure keep up the good work the prime rib was delicious !

Good Food & Drink!

Stopped here while traveling with the hotel recommendation. We were seated promptly, and our server Stacey was excellent answering our questions. What can be said food arrived hot and was delicious and some even had desert. Would recommend this Outback.

Bartender was awesome SAM V. We’ve tested all the BlackBerry long on I see is out there and this one’s the best and we like to get it super charge sometimes to make it more effective and we appreciate that option
