Azuma recently opened in Malta and we were looking forward to giving it a try as we both love Sushi. We were not disappointed. We were immediately seated on a busy night and the service was fantastic. Our server promptly presented us with a drink menu and food menu. The menus were quite impressive with about sixty different Sushi rolls to choose from. We went with the Double King Roll of the specialty roll section and it was amazing in presentation and taste. Dinner wise she ordered Chicken Wok Thai Mango and I had General Tso`s Chicken. Both were very tasty although I found her dish a little sweet for my taste although that is just me. The portion were very generous and we both had a fair share leftover. We shared a dessert of a Raspberry cake that hit the spot to finish the evening. The only negative issue(and I find this in mamy Japanese establishments) is that the service is often too quick. The entrees came out when we still had sushi to finish. We do look forward to going back and making it a Sushi night and try different rolls or combinations. Pricing is beyond fair. A glass of wine, Japanese beer, specialty roll, two entrees and shared dessert was only $73.00.

Located less than a quarter mile South of the Malta Circle (Rt 9 and 67), if you drive fast, you’ll miss it.
Same place Campagna used to occupy. Ample parking in the back of the building.
Had been following this restaurant since opening during COVID and finally decided to visit for a family birthday celebration. We are fanatics of Hibachi and have visited every single one of them in the Capital Region and Azuma can hold their own.
Liked the vibrant ambiance. With the bright colors, paintings on the walls and custom light fixtures, they set themselves apart from others. Really inviting. I liked that they knock down the wall next to the bar to make room for the Hibachi tables.
Despite being a group of 10, service was great, attentive to keep they drinks coming. Our Chef “Billy” was outstanding. Even though he had trouble communicating in English, he was making jokes and even came back with a ukulele to sing with us after serving dinner. Kudos to Billy the kid! You alone are a reason to come back.
Food was flavorful and in generous portions. Will definitively return.

This is a new sushi restaurant in the Saratoga county area and their lunch menu is extensive. I enjoy sushi but am always concerned about the freshness and cleanliness of the place. My tuna sushi roll for lunch was very attractive and it was delicious, very generous and tasted very fresh. The facility has modern decor, clean and the servers are very polite. Last but not least, price is very competitive with other sushi places in the area.

We got dinner to go from Azuma - we got 2 orders of General Tsos chicken with fried rice - it comes with white rice. Also got a order of 3 egg rolls. They have a large selection of sushi. Very good - will have to eat there sometime.

We went to celebrate an anniversary and our chef was a nice guy but not as silly as the other chefs around us. He basically did his job cooking and left, after carelessly putting my nephews dinner on my already eaten -from plate. ( Jacks a good sport, and took it off my plate). There were no complaints about the taste of the food, other than the scallops were not the fine quality we’ve had at other restaurants , and the portions of vegetables were smaller than other restaurants.
The carpeted floor around the tables is sticky and in dire need of a good shampooing. It is not an appetizing setting.
The service charge for a group is 20%, not the usual 18% group service charge…,, and it is calculated AFTER the tax….that is a 22% service charge for our mediocre service.

Made a reservation for 6 as I usually do for Azuma. Arrived a few minutes early and was promptly seated at a table for 6 in a quiet semi private room where we usually sit. Shortly after the drinks were delivered we were approached by a person who asked us to move to a booth for six in the main restaurant. When we hesitated he said that a group of 7 with no reservations just walked in and it would work out better for him to use our table for them. It was apparent that we would be moving whether we liked it or not, so off we went. The food was delicious, the waitress forgot to bring soup and salad before the main course for one of the six and offered to bag it for take home. Later she offered a free dessert which the children enjoyed. There was no thank you from the restaurant personnel for our moving. First time I can remember being involuntarily moved for the convenience of the management to make more money. Probably won’t return in the future…

We had a delicious family hibachi experience. There were 8 of us so we tried many combinations ... all were high quality and delicious. Our chef was quite talented and lots of fun. On previous visits I enjoyed the tiger rolls and my wife liked the yellowtail sashimi. We’ll be back.

This is a very nice restaurant with pleasant staff. The menu offers various plate dinners in what it calls boxes. This is the route to go. Each box come with a lot of food and various menu items as sides. The quality of the food is exceptional.

I just moved to the area and was excited to find a great new sushi place. This happened to be the first one I tried, and I think I have already found it. I sat out on their patio. It was covered and well decorated, creating a wonderful environment while you enjoy your meal. I would say their house ginger dressing stands a notch above most. They had a large variety of fun roll choices. I got the "Bubba Gump" Shrimp tempura rolls and they were fantastic. And the presentation of the food was phenomenal (see pic).

The office building that houses Azuma originally featured an Italian restaurant. The problem is that the building that houses the restaurant is isolated just South of the Dunning Street roundabout on Rt 9, so it doesn't get any 'walk in' traffic at all - if you want to go there, you really need to drive, and unless you have business in the building (mainly financial planners and the like), you drive past without stopping. On the other hand, the parking lot is very large, so there is no problem parking, especially in the evenings after all the financial types have gone home. The Italian place didn't get a lot of traffic although wife and I had a good meal the one time we went there.
So the Italian place closed, and the space was vacant for several years before Azuma moved in - literally, only a few weeks before Covid hit. Terrible timing, but not something they could have anticipated. But they made the best of it, and built up quite a following during the lockdown based on takeout. So now that things are starting to reopen, we decided to give it a try.
I thoroughly enjoyed my meal - a spicy Thai chicken dish with basil. Wife had a chicken dish with broccoli. Both meals were very generous, both with the amount of chicken they contained and in terms of the overall size. And both came with a side of steamed rice.
Wife was concerned that the chicken didn't seem to be thoroughly cooked. Asian cooking in a wok tends to result in food that is not as well done as our Western taste expects - I actually enjoy the crunch of al dente vegetables, and I prefer meats that are not cooked to the stage of shoe leather. But I agree that the chicken on both our dishes could have used a few addition seconds in the wok.
Prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is pleasant, They have recently expanded to include a new space at the back of the building with hibachi tables - something that we definitely need to try sometime.
