We ordered Old School Dinner Box to go. We picked up and the staff at Innovo put the Dinner Box in the trunk. The meal was exceptional. It came with iceberg round salads, rolls, chicken francaise and cookies for $45. Definitely enough food for 4 people. We will do this again.

Had dinner here last night. the food is a little pricey but very delicious Highly recommend the scallops. The only dissapointment was that they didn't have a lot of beer on tap and most of their ipa's were only offered in bottle or can which doesn't allow you to sample first.

Second in-person restaurant since things began opening up again. We are both healthy seniors, but cautious. Large area of outdoor and open to the outdoor seating. Everyone spaced apart. Masks on servers and required of everyone when not eating. They even had sanitizer at the table. We had the smoked chicken salad sandwich and the pan seared salmon panzanella. Both were excellent. I am glad a good restaurant like Innovo has weathered the storm. We will be back.

Was not impressed. My friend and I had dinner, ordered two appetizers and each an entree. From the onset, our server Vincent was not engaged and made sure to let us know that there was a 90 minute maximum stay at our table. The appetizers were sub par and our dinners were even more. The entire experience felt rushed and after leaving more than 3/4 of our meals uneaten, Vincent did not even ask if we enjoyed our meals. Dessert was not offered, only the check. Needless to say, will not be returning.

We had a terrific meal here for our anniversary. We took our kids because we came right from one do their sports event and they were nervous it was going to be fancy but it was perfect. They enjoyed the HUGE chicken sandwich and chicken tenders. We had the pork dumplings which I can’t stop thinking about and cool ranch tater tots as an appetizer which was delicious. I had the $5 Monday burger and my husband had a briscuit sandwich which was also big enough he saved half of for lunch the next day. Peanut butter pie for dessert and we were stuffed. Only complaint would be that there’s a very cold draft when they come in and out of the door to serve the people who are brave enough to eat outside in December. But can’t begrudge them making more money if people are willing to sit outside and eat when it’s 30 degrees out! Would recommend

We consistently have a good experience here. There outside dining is not a pandemic improvised afterthought. It was originally built into the restaurant design. You can enjoy the ambiance of being in a restaurant but your under the stars. I recently had the Maine Salmon. It was attractively presented with a coating of pesto on a bed of roasted red peppers and assorted in season vegetables. My wife had the black bean burger with a side of Parmesan tatter tots. She loved it. In fact, she packed it up to finish it for lunch the following day. It was very aromatic reflecting a nice blend of seasoning. You got to try the Parmesan tatter tots. Absolutely delicious. We found them addictive. Kinda like mini potato croquettes but better. I like the fact that when ordering wine by the glass, they pour it directly from the bottle at your table. The menu prices are very reasonable. Wait staff was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Like a growing number of restaurants, Innovo Kitchen is high tech. No printed menu. Bring your QR reader or visit their website. Very green of them. Can’t wait to return.

We were delighted with every feature at Innovo Kitchen which is located on the end of an ordinary strip plaza in Niskayuna. The menu was quite unusual, and beautifully executed and presented. Service was friendly and accommodating. The decor was modern, spacious with an orientation to outdoor dining. It must be said that they take COVID 19 precautions very seriously. There is a foot operated hand sanitizer as one enters the establishment. Seating is spread out, beyond minimal requirements. Indoor dining is very well ventilated. The menu is electronically accessed, and server protocol was very professional. There is a small fireplace and ample warmers in the outdoor area. This was a great choice, not far from the NYState Thruway.

Went for dinner Saturday evening. Sat outdoors but close to entryway. Noise level was very, very high. Server, despite me telling her my drink order twice, couldn't hear well enough and brought me the wrong drink. It was a good drink (raspberry mule) , however. Menu is very cumbersome ( must scan it to your phone) Do I really need to work that hard to purchase food from you? After losing it from our phones a few times, we all used the menu on the website. Food was very good and served made helpful recommendations. All in all, a 4 out of 5 rating.

This restaurant, located in a strip mall, the Plaza 7 Commons, had lovely outdoor patio seating. I think they'll do better than many restaurants as it gets colder, because they had outside space heaters, & we even were seated by an outdoor gas fireplace! I was pleased that they took reservations for outdoor seating, as most restaurants have a first come, first service policy. Chef John LaPosta is a chef (i.e., not just a cook), who previously was at Maestro's at the Van Dam, Jack's Oyster House, & the Conservatory Grille. There many innovative dishes on the menu (e.g., Roast Cauliflower Tacos, Lobster Grilled Cheese, & Veal Meatloaf), although they also have salads & burgers. SPOILER ALERT: Another treat is that at the end of your meal, you're served an individually wrapped thin slice of home made chocolate nut bark - YUM! Heads up that the place is not inexpensive, but you're dining, not just eating. I took off 1/2 a star as our waitress wasn't particularly friendly. The only time she smiled is at the end of our meal, when she saw our tip.

We went here again tonight to give this place one last chance. On my wife’s previous visit she went there with two friends one of which had just lost her husband for dinner and drinks to try to get away. After just over an hour while they were still finishing their margaritas they were told they had the table too long and they needed to leave. Tonight we tried to give it another chance since my wife loves their fish tacos. Of course on taco Tuesday they will not allow you to order tacos and margaritas on the patio which is crazy so it packed inside and the patio is mostly vacant . We showed up about 10 minutes late for our reservation because of insane traffic to an obviously disgruntled hostess who made a big deal about seating us only to tuck us crammed in a corner behind a table of 8 or 10 people. We ordered our usual meals only to have the waitress pull our plates from us before we were finished. She seemed annoyed when we wanted to order desert which we were not allowed to finish before the check and after dinner chocolate was put down on the table. She was in such a hurry to get us out of there she forgot to bring our margarita to go picture we ordered. Bottom line for a couple or family going out to eat they make it as uncomfortable and un enjoyable as possible from the moment you walk in. Why, because you are ordering their taco Tuesday specials. All they seem to want to cater to are large parties for special occasions or business meetings. Never again. It is close to my house but I have tried and tried again. I don’t believe I have ever felt so rushed while trying to enjoy a meal.

This place is the real deal! I think Gordan Ramsay or Tyler Florence needs to visit became they would be in their glory. We went last week for the first time with family and then again this week. There are so many delicious menu items that I need to keep coming back to try them all. I highly recommend the cod chowder, pork shank, and the tater tots app. The drinks are no joke and they are creative and generous with their pours. I cannot wait to come back and try more. It’s all so amazing and the staff is phenomenal.

I've gone many times to Innovo for dinner and have almost always loved my meal. The menu is always changing based on the season although there are some items that are always on the menu. I honestly always look forward to going here and having the steamed pork buns and the iceberg round salad-always do delicious. My only complaint is that it can be very loud in the restaurant. I think that's based on the design of the restaurant so that the sound is amplified and can sometimes make having conversations hard.

Husband and I stopped for lunch today at Innovo kitchen, an extremely popular lunch spot in Latham, New York. The parking lot was like a mall the day before Christmas. Once we grabbed a spot we made our way in where we had a reservation for lunch. Reservations, always a must here. We were seated promptly, the giant garage doors were open to let in the wonderful early fall air. The atmosphere is urban industrial comfortable. Not too loud despite all the people. We ordered the roast beef sandwich with the five dollar upgrade to onion rings, and the lamb burger with an upgrade to the house made tater tots. Food arrived very hot and in a timely fashion. The roast beef was piled high on ciabatta, very lean meat with seven slices of cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a wonderful French type horseradish dressing. The lamb burger was cooked to the desired medium well but still retained its juiciness on the delicious poppy bun. The tater tots are a must. The only weak spot was the onion rings. They were hot, but they looked and tasted like they came from a food service. For five dollars extra, one would expect homemade rings. Our server was wonderful and replenished club, sodas and water without being asked. Novo remains, one of the best restaurants of its type in the capital District.

Innovo Kitchen has always been a favorite, but with COVID, we hadn't been there for awhile. Tonight we got their Italian Dinner Box that was to serve 3-4. It was a real treat! It included a fabulous Italian salad including salami and peperoni, olives, vegetables and cheese. The chicken parmesan was delicious and came with a huge portion of pasta and meatballs, and Italian bread. It was topped off with wonderful cannolis. There was easily enough to serve 4 or more and at $35 a bargain. Thank you John.

We had the Clam Scallop Orechiette and the Salmon Caesar Salad plus the Lemon Cheese Pie. One of us had a Flower Power IPA Draft. The Orechiette was absolutely wonderful -- clams in the shell, tons of scallops, rich and tasty broth, and perfectly done orechiette. I have a hearty appetite and I could not finish it all. The thought of dessert was the only thing that saved me. My partner had the caesar. Lovely anchovies on top, salmon nicely done, all in all a very tasty salad. The Lemon Cheese Pie split maybe 1/3 2/3 was a perfect ending. The lemon curd made the dish. Wonderful. Deborah was an engaging, efficient and thoughtful server. The gentleman who seated us and answered no few questions about the Lemon Cheese Pit was great as well.
