We visited the New Jersey location at 362 Grand Ave. in Englewood, NJ 07631. Lunch on a Sunday afternoon was a packed full house. The service was fast and friendly - diner ambience was classic and brought old memories of the 1950's Tried their famous 7 ounce burgers, namely Baldouni Burger with fries for $18.25, and New York Burger with fries for $16.00 - everything was good and well cooked but our only gripe was that the burger was not seasoned. Biting into a juicy piece of meat that is unseasoned is very disappointing - trying to add salt at the top just does NOT work.

This reliable, friendly & durable standby remains as an atmospheric vestige of when East Elmhurst was one of the coolest, unheralded nabes in the 5 Boros......
Please give equal time to any & ALL superb grilled chicken breast offerings as well, served upon an extraordinarily fine/high-quality seeded twist bun.
Our recommendation--> When visiting as a couple, order 1 hamburger & 1 chicken sand., then do a split!

We took our son to Jackson Hole for his birthday. Glad we did, the burgers were huge and delicious so were the other items we ordered. The service was awesome. Some may think the prices are high for the burgers, but not when you see the size of the burgers. We had a great time and a great meal. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. We’ll be back definitely.

I just wanted to say this place has the best burgers and shakes in New York. Great staff love the entire 1950’s theme. I highly recommend the bacon cheese burger with fried onions and sweet potato French fries. Oh yeah Oreo cookie shake lol yum yum 😁🎈🍔🍔🍔🍔🎂🎂🎂

My brother and I traveled here from Manhattan while on vacation, due to it being a shooting location from the movie Goodfellas, but mostly came for the exterior rather than the interior. Upon arriving though, we figured we’d grab a bite for lunch and were thoroughly impressed with the food.
The burgers are absolutely HUGE and the milkshakes are incredible too (there is a vast selection of shakes to choose from). The atmosphere is great too, and with the food served as a great 50s throwback. Definitely a place worth seeking out!

Went here for a late lunch. The diner has a great setting, however it can use a thorough cleaning. We were not impressed by the place, expected it to be a bit more welcoming. The service was lackluster and the food was mediocre. The best thing we ordered was the hamburger, it was very good.
It should be noted, this is a “cash only” establishment, they have an ATM in the restaurant.

I love this place! I normally come for breakfast/brunch. Great Belgian waffles with fresh fruit and maple syrup and fresh squeezed OJ. I've been coming here for many years. It's always on point. Fantastic staff. Shout out to our favorite waitress Mariana. Happy birthday Giiirrrrrrllllll!

Meet friends who live in Queens before flying back to Florida. Looked for a place for brunch near LGA.
Great choice for brunch. I tried the Italian Omelet with sausage, mushrooms, fried onions, marinara sauce and mozzarella. Served with home fries and toast. Great choice.
My wife is a big fan of Fried Chicken & Waffles , waffle served with 4 pieces of fried chicken and homemade honey maple barbecue sauce. Served with butter and syrup.
She loved it.
Definitely returning when in the area.

Is this what a Chicken Caesar salad wrap is supposed to look like? It literally looks and tastes like sh*t. After working a 13 hour shift in the hospital, this is what i come home to to eat. Absolute garbage.

Ordered the Mari Bella burger with goat cheese. Huge burger. Very tasty. Cute diner with a secret back room behind the counter/ cash register. Be forewarned, cash only.

I had a meeting with my team members. We decided to go here for lunch. It did not disappoint. 7 out of 10 of us got burgers. They are absolutely phenomenal! I am definitely going out of my way to stop here the next time I'm in town

I’ve always went here with my family and never waited this long but today we waited 15-30 minutes and all we got was 2 coffees , 1 hot chocolate and 1 green tea but we didn’t have our food we ordered , if you don’t like long customers service or waiting very long do not come here , I can’t believe they give your food to other people that didn’t even ordered them and $20 for coffees and a green tea with a hot chocolate and the price range is only $10-15 dollars and the coffee cost like less then that. He should of apologized because they have never treated us like this and make us wait this long , we have been going here for about more like 20 years but I don’t know what happened to the customer service.

I had the best waffles and fresh orange juice. My friend had the omelette. The food is made in front of us I saw everything being cooked open kitchens are great. This place is from 1950’s original Art Deco style diner last of its kind in New York. I’m telling all travelers must check this place out.
