I had not eaten in Bistro Eloise for a long time. Then I ate there twice within 3 weeks and enjoyed it each time! The Salad Nicoise was delicious! A perfectly cooked tuna steak nestle on a pate of cold salad and vegetables. The second time I ordered their tasty Endive Salad and Steak au Poivre which was cooked as requested and was a delicious, tender steak. I closed each meal with Floating Island or Ile Flottante , a classic dessert consisting of meringue floating on crème anglaise (a vanilla custard). It was exceptional! David provided excellent and charming service. Vincent was attentive and the support staff very efficient. I really must go back more often especially for the Blanquette de Veau which, unfortunately, I had too long ago.

We had traditional French dishes: pork pate (with an unusual addition of pistachios-excellent) , cassoulet , blanquette de veau. All beautifully presented, delicious in taste, redolent with herbs. This was our first visit, on a very busy Valentine’s Day. Service was very friendly, bread came promptly, water glasses refilled . Add to that , generous portions , reasonable prices & $12. for a grey goose martini . Highly recommend. We will return soon .

The lady who seated us has warmth and is friendly. Ms. Vincent, our server, is pleasant. The chorizo and perfectly cooked tasty green beans were very good but I would have preferred more octopus than chorizo. My husband was quite satisfied with his steak frites with salad. We also prefer warm bread but the baguette and spreadable butter were good.

Our friends who live in Queens are regular here. In fact my wife ate here on her last trip to NY and raved about Bistro Eloise. Vincent, the owner is charming and very welcoming. I started with the Les Escargots au beurre persillé, snails in garlic butter sauce. Good but not garlicky enough. My wife tried the French Onion Soup Gratinée. For mains, I ordered the Boeuf Bourguignon, braised Angus beef stew with carrots, pearl onions, mushrooms, bacon served over mashed potato, Just fair. My had the La Crepe Forestiere, chicken, creamy mushroom sauce, swiss, and mushrooms. She said not as good as the last time. For dessert, Chocolate Mousse, the best thing. Small and limited wine list.

My partner liked to rake me to my favorite restaurant the Bistro and I didn’t feel great so we decided to order through uber eats. We got our order and I missed my over all favorite the mussels. And we also missed one dessert. Contacted the driver he didn’t speak English so we called the restaurant to see if he missed one bag. The lady that answered the phone said we didn’t do the whole order we were busy. Can’t understand, both the cod beef bourgeois and the mussels are main courses so what if we had been 3 people order 1 main each one would have been without. We have been there around 40+ times and love the place. Yo hear the history say we didn’t go the whole order and ghost on purpose is disgraceful at least. I have given many grate reviews and we always tip good.

We celebrated valentines day with a group of friends there, that was our second time in that place which located in a strip mall. It is a relatively small place who struggle to accommodate our large group of sixteen. But what’ lacking in location and decor is made up by a wonderful staff and excellent cuisine. Most of the people where happy with their meal. Personally I enjoyed the escargot and the octopus/chorizo plate, both excellent. I tasted my wife filet mignon and fried which was very good. She also said that her foie gras appetizer was good. Other french classics include cassoulet, coq au vin, bouillabaisse and magret de canard d. Will have to go back! Neighborhood hem!!!

Went on a mid week date with my wife and we went to Bistro Eloise for some old school French cuisine. The starter of onion soup was a great kick off. The service was the best. If you want French then head to Bistro Eloise.

Perfect location, delicious food and excellent service combined for a Saturday three hour late lunch. Four people and all that we ordered (from the dinner menu) - appetizers to desserts was perfect.

Who would have thought that tucked away in a secluded area of the Jackson Heights shopping Center that you would find the one of the best casual French restaurants in Queens. Bistro Eloise was always on my target list to review for many years, but I never got around to heading up to that area of Jackson Height. After a long day of volunteering for participatory budgeting, this was the perfect excuse for me to have dinner there. The Bistro is what you would expect, small, cozy and romantic. The wine and conversations flow freely, thought I didn't drink at the time. Knowing that i was almost certain to get a top notch meal in a French restaurant, owned by French transplants I ordered the canard a l'orange (orange flavored duck) and my favorite of mine. The meat was soft and tender and with mashed potatoes and beans it made a perfect dinner. Afterwards I chatted with Vincent the owner. He told me that they expect to have their sister restaurant up and running in Astoria some time very soon

If you are in that area of Queens, go for this bistrot. Authentic French cuisine with "authentic" french managers. Portions are small though. It can get packed, but nice space outside

This area abounds in delicious food from various parts of the world - primarily South and East Asian and South American. Bistro Eloise just came right in and made the melting pot more delicious! I have been with friends and family and every dish (salmon burger, cod, vegetarian crepe, mussels) and drink (champagne, sangria, Bellinis, wine) have been excellent. Service is friendly and attentive and the parking lot makes life so much easier. Prices are fair for what you get.

The neighborhood was very excited to hear about a French restaurant opening next to the legendary Cannelle Patisserie and Plaka, a very good Greek restaurant. I have eaten there three times and the two offerings that were delicious were the Salade Endive and Blanquette de Veau. Other offerings were not as memorable. Also, I consider this an Franco-American restaurant rather than a French one. A true French restaurant is a rare commodity these days!

Having just returned from a wonderful week in France and Monaco, an all that fabulous French food… we were curious to check out this little bistro that was making noises in Queens ~ to extend that trip without the travel expenses. So we found a way to drive by this location, and stop in for a snack… in-between meal times. The place was semi-full, with late lunch diners finishing up, but the hostess was able to clear up a table for us right away. This is a pleasant little “bistro,” with basic décor and no frills, serving very authentic French fare: I quite enjoyed the French Onion Soup ($8) (one of my favorite soups) and a delicious, fresh mimosa ($8) while my wife had their Soup of the Day ($7) and a La Roulee (buckwheat crepe with smoked salmon, cheese, egg and greens ~ $14) which we shared. Very nice and soft, creamy, delightful, French. The menu is pretty extensive, and the service is friendly and efficient. Great spot to visit again, soon. Good value and authenticity.
