Last minute reservation for brunch and came across this location. One of the best choices! Greeted with friendly smiles ( through a mask) with option of indoor/outdoor dining ( following new guidelines of mask and social distancing). We chose to sit outdoors due to lovely...weather. We realized it was a family owned business and it was confirmed when owner came to check up on us. From host to staff, it was one of the most wonderful dining experiences. The food was AMAZING!!! Drinks excellent - DEFINITELY recommended this location. It is worth the drive up to Dobbs Ferry and enjoy scenery, environment, food and drinks! If you want to watch some sports- nice screens displaying sport’s for sports lover and those who want to enjoy each others company, perfect setting.
Food- EXCELLENT! We chose the following and recommend them all!
Popcorn cauliflower (general tso)
Chicken and waffles
Pork & grits
Brussel sprouts (chili maple)

We were looking for a pub with great ambience and cuisine and lucked out finding this one. All of the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome, even with our unusual food requests. We wanted to try a lot...of things and over ordered as usual. Popcorn cauliflower was tender and crunchy. The smoked XL drumsticks were large and tasty. The grilled octopus was one of the best versions my husband has ever had and he has tried plenty! We loved the Arugula Fattoush salad and Mahi Mahi tacos. Happy to see LI Hake on the menu which was great fried. But our favorite dish was the Kimchee pork fried rice. Highly recommend it! Wish we lived closer to return again.....More
Great brunch, best english muffin EVER. Plus the waitress actually knew what a coffee long was and made it right which almost everyone never does. We were impressed with service, welcoming greeting and food
Never having tried a Scotch Egg, it was the obvious choice for an appetizer -though there were several tempting items. Yum - definitely worth having and would have it again. I opted for Mussels while my husband had shrimp and grits. Both delicious and well...presented. However, for me, the fries and the brussels sprouts were the stars of the show. I can't imagine going back without ordering both of those items! Now the only hiccup ....We made a reservation on a recent Saturday afternoon at 3pm. It was a bit windy outside, so we opted for an inside table. However, when we arrived there was a large party dining inside. We were offered a high top in the bar but decided to eat outside which was set up well for distancing. We would have preferred to know that there was a party and we might feel uncomfortable eating indoors (during this time of Covid). Beyond that, we will most certainly be back. Unusual menu and friendly service!More
I recently had a great experience with Rare Bit! Due to the coronavirus, the Rare Bit is offering curbside pickup or delivery for specific drinks and food. We ordered smoked ribs that were so tender the meat was falling off the bone. The fried chicken...sliders were probably the best we ever had! The garlic roasted broccoli was cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the portions were very generous! Now onto the drinks, I highly recommend the Dobbs Berry which comes in a 32 oz. masonry jar which includes lemon organic vodka, raspberry vodka, strawberry gin and a hint of citrus. Great comfort food! The owner delivered the food to my car curbside and could not have been nicer! CarolynMore
Every item, from appetizers to dessert, was simply amazing. The eponymous appetizer was a special fondue with pear chutney, the falafel was light and crunchy while the apple tart was a delicious sendoff. So pleased, although it isn't the least expensive place you'll run across...in town.More
We went during restaurant week so this may have affected the overall experience. the restaurant was packed but we were seated immediately upon arrival because we had a reservation.
Appetizers were very good. Ribs were tasty and very meaty and tender. The portion of 4...was more than ample. Salads were also very good and dressed with just the right amount of dressing. Main dishes were of decent portion and plated attractively. We had the Shrimp Tacos and the Chicken Tikka Masala. Unfortunately both were very salty and not the best we have ever had. Desserts were very good so things ended on a happy note. Overall our party rated this meal with a B, B-, B-, C+. Personally I would go back if someone wanted to try it again but wouldn't rush there.More
The best scotch eggs, fish ‘ chips, pork belly and Brussels sprouts we’ve ever eaten in the US, supported by fine, well-kept ales, lively ambiance and warm welcome. Exceptionally authentic and innovative — and a hugely welcome change from all the cookie-cutter, unauthentic ‘ethnic’ restaurants...around. 5 stars if they can reduce the noise levelsMore
