What a Find!

This restaurant offers superior food at extremely reasonable prices. The falafel is so much better than falafel I’ve had elsewhere—light and perfectly seasoned, not heavy and greasy—and the humus is silky smooth. Everything tastes fresh and homemade. The baklava is a special treat. This has to be the best eatery in the area, and I would definitely make a special trip here just to eat at Allan’s.

Crowd-Pleasing Catering Choice!

We usually barbecue for our annual family party but due to scorching temps this year, we decided to cater from Allan’s Falafel. What a great decision! The owner, Tatiana, helped us select our order: the Mediterranean Gyro Station, the Hummus Board, and a few sides including spinach pies. The food was a WOW - fresh, delicious, beautifully seasoned… and there were plenty of yummy options for the vegetarians in our group. The restaurant was very communicative in confirming our order and pick-up time. Thank you Allan's Falafel for making our day extra special, extra tasty, and extra easy to host.

Excellent fresh Mediterranean food

We had a fantastic dinner to cap off a lovely weekend in Hudson Valley. The restaurant was clean, cozy, and inviting. The staff went above and beyond to be accommodating and kind, which made the evening even more special. The food was freshly made to order, and the portion sizes were generous. My son absolutely loved the lentil soup and rice, along with the crispy fries. I had the stuffed cabbage rolls and tabouli salad, which were both delicious and full of flavor. My wife was also very pleased with her chicken platter. The restaurant's décor was charming, with both booth and regular table seating. We especially enjoyed the front room seating, which gave us a beautiful view of the picturesque town while we dined. The music playlist was eclectic and set a perfect atmosphere, offering something for everyone. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, and we'd love to return on our next trip to the Hudson Valley!

Not consistent, ok at best.

I've eaten at Alan's a few times and has been pretty decent. Not great but decent. Good hummus and pita and usually get the shawarma. My wife and I were on our way home and called ahead for take out. Ordered two shawarma platters priced at almost $50. It was fatty and just not good. Seemed like almost all turkey with little flavor and all fat. I called back to express my dissatisfaction and the girl I spoke to promised the owner would call me back. I never got a call and it will be the last time we visit. I get that sometimes things go wrong but It's unfortunate that people cannot stand behind their product. We will not be coming back.

Amazing, fresh and de-lish food.

This is a lovely place to eat. Falafel, salads, kebobs, something for everyone. Super fresh and flavorful. BIG portions. Good service, music every few weeks is fun, wine, beer, hard cider too. They have to go and to stay, and now online reservations and ordering. Locally owned, locally staffed. I hope you VISIT and enjoy it!

My family routinely goes to Allen’s because it’s fantastic food. Always fresh and delicious. It’s hard to decide what to order because everything is amazing... falafel, lentil soup, Greek salad, grape leaves, etc.. perfect place for the whole family.

Just being honest I really can not find anything good about the food and price

I beg the difference in price and food taste and quality compared to other dear customers of this place. I ordered falafel, chicken, beef, eggplant. Falafel was fine but the rest had an extremely strange and bad after taste, please don’t say great quality olive oil… this tasted more like car oil. Cumin in stuffed grape leaves is a crime to this dish, it made it unrecognizable with a horrible taste. Chicken was so dry, it had to be washed down with half of glass water. May be I went there on their bad day but this would be the last time I order here. By the way I am not poor but the prices are way too high for this quality , I guess I stick to the Greek version from now on. A word of advise taste your food once a while before serving it….it’s a good business practice. Sorry I love to support local small businesses but a descent food should not be a rocket science for a cook.

Authentic Israeli cuisine in Chester, NY which Allan's Falafel is my party of three's final destination for a happy ending to a weekend. I desired chicken cutlet pita pocket $6.95 rather than on a platter or a plate. I am always enamored with pitas and hummus. Their pitas and plates or platters are served with hummus. My pita contained insufficient hummus. My good close friend and fellow Yelper Marlene G. and her husband Kiddeft K. enjoyed their respective falafel platters with hummus. Service is attentive. It is family friendly. Our party ordered extra pita but no hummus was accompanied. Food is fresh. As a foodie I come with an open mind to all cultures and cuisines with the will and interest to try. Price is very reasonable. The facade emits a very charming southern home of a porch with white railings and pillars depicting a home rather than a restaurant. The facade also contains a fully accessible ramp for strollers and wheelchairs. Nota bene: Cellular signal service is not available in this location as our party of three asked for Allan's Falafel's WiFi access. Password is required to gain WiFi access.

Smoothest Humus I've ever had!!!!

I've been here twice. Both times food is exceptional! Humus is amazing smooth and flavorful. Falafel very good. Stuffed grape leaves are terrific!

The restaurant is decorated very comfortably with large pillows in the banquettes and colorful drapes around. there are two rooms so they can handle larger parties as ours was. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. Nice family feeling place.
