Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

You might wonder about a gluten-sensitive at an Italian restaurant, but I was not disappointed with the excellent flavors even without the pasta. The Rib-eye was perfectly cooked with a rub more complex than just pepper. Even the sides were well prepared. My dinner mate had the breaded shrimp which he also raved about. It is very popular but small so reservations are recommended, though they were very accommodating to getting us a table and the staff is attentive and friendly.

On a road trip with my wife spending one in night in Chimayo, tiring of Mexican food restaurants. Saw that Ken'z was about Italian fare. Surprise, surprise, this former New Yorker was elated at how good the food was. Told the chef he was better than many NY Italian restaurants, which indeed he is. There may not be an Italian living in Espanola, but real Italian food lives.

My hubby and I were looking for a tasty cold brew and a pizza with a little bite to it. We found both at Ken'z Cuisine. Yes, they serve awesome pasta dishes alongside a nice wine selection from La Chiripada Winery in Dixon.
We were looking for something different and settled on the La Llorona Scottish Ale and the Chicharron Pizza with Pepperoni. We topped it off with the Lavender Creme Brulee (Yum!). One brulee and two spoons...I not a total hedonist!
Ken'z will satisfy your cravings for simple fare or more sophistcated offerings. The wait staff was charming and attentive. Thank you Kristiana.

1st time. Calamari, meatbslls, salad, all great locals at the bar, Joy worked hard. All good, would come again. Hope you take this well, the wine list could use better options. I admire the local selections and I know you must be trying to keep affordable options. As I would enjoy better ones, maybe something like this:

A little difficult to find but well worth the search (located in the Blue Heron brewery building). Food was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The interior is a bit rough but charming and not pretentious and very clean appearing.
We had five different entrees and everyone was very happy with their meal. The bread was wonderful. A very enjoyable and surprising experience.

Wonderful find! Excellent cuisine plus top-rated wines (New Mexico chiripada winery) and great beers (local Blue Heron brewery). Nice ambiance in a small unassuming corner shop. Amazingly upscale for this small town near Ghost Ranch. A great stop at the end of the day. But a formal dinner to celebrate a special occasion is here too! We googled breweries and found Blue Heron… be sure you find location - this taproom at Ken’z in Espanola.

We found Kenz from TripAdvisor but be sure to realize that it is in the Blue Heron brewery building. The food was fantastic - salmon grilled to perfection with mango salsa and yummy veggies. My husband had mushroom spinach pasta - also super. Unique starter- avocado croquette with homemade pomodoro sauce. Highly recommend. The ambiance is quiet with old but familiar Italian music playing. Besides Blue Heron local beer, the wine comes from La Chiripada winery which is located between Taos and Espaniola. It keeps winning best New Mexican winery and we agreed.
Please give it a try!

We returned to Ken'z for a lunch and it was even better than ever! It was quiet, with white tablecloths and napkins. The food was decicious--chicken piccata pasta and a buffalo burger. Fresh, crusty bread started the meal and the chicken was lemony and tasty. The buffalo burger was loaded with creamy avocado, applewood smoked bacon, and all the burger trimmings, plus large french fries. We'll go back next time. It combines Italian, French, and American food.

Our first time here and we excellent service and the food was AMAZING.
we started with Appetizers ( The escargot were served in a creamy sauce with puff pastry, crab cakes) Dinner was Scallops and Shrimp for myself and Filet mignon and shrimp, scallop for my husband) Dessert Lavender Creme Brule......every bite was savory and delicious,so with that what can I say that I would definitely return, my husband is a huge food critic and for him to give props to the Chef, that says alot.

Our second time to Ken'z was as good as the first. Great tasting and fresh. Beautifully presented. We all loved our appetizers and main courses. Avocado croquettes were phenomenal. Eggplant Parmesan was distinctive. Chicken entrees were delicious. Great service. We will be regulars. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic place! Gorgeous old home with a shaded, cool courtyard. Airy and spacious inside. We had a great lunch, Eggplant Parmesan and a BLT. The service was impeccable. Hope to return for dinner before we leave town.
