Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I always order the Vegetarian tacos with guac @ $2.50 each. In Mexico, these are called "Tacos dorados" and the only difference is a small amount of cow cheese, more of a garnish. Thanks for keeping tacos happening for essential workers and travelling taco lovers.

We thought this was a sit down Northern New Mexico restaurant but it’s actually a small building where you order at the window. I’m hearing impaired and I couldn’t hear well nor see the face of the person taking the order since the window is low and small. We both had the carne adobada burrito and the beef taco with salsa. The food was great! The chile in the adobada would be considered too hot for non-New Mexicans. I have learned my lesson about tipping when I pay especially when your food is not served by a person. The prices are probably average. I would’ve given this place 5 stars if it had been a sit-in place. It does have tables outside but it’s a noisy area.

We stopped after our favorite spot was closed. A lady in the parking lot recommended us to this place. We drove up to a clean pretty parking lot with a fence to block the main road noise and solid green metal picnic tables. Silver trash cans with tight lids were plentiful. We order a green chicharron burrito and a red chicken burrito. They take a minute but fresh food always is worth the wait. The chicken had been stewed with celery and tomato and was juicy and tender. The refried beans were wonderful and it had just the right amount of cheese. The chicharron was tasty and the Chile verde had a homemade taste. Don’t let the humble exterior fool you. This place is a gem. We will definitely be back!

Small stand, part of a chain throughout the area offering authentic New Mexican burritos, tacos, soups, etc. No seating inside, some picnic tables outside. Flavorful and filling, good lunch option in Espanola.

Hidden gem for breakfast burritos. I had the chorizo, egg, potatoes and red sauce. It definitely had a kick but not too bad. Wife ate the other half while I ate hers. She had the bacon, egg and potatoes with green sauce and that was delicious. This Okie didn’t find it has hot and spicy as the chorizo with red sauce. The burritos are big as well and filling. Definitely recommend

Long day driving so googled for someplace to eat. Lots of locals walking over from their jobs end of day. Had the chicken tacos; one with salsa, one with guac; each just a little over $3. Yellow corn taco shells. Lots of well seasoned shredded chicken. Good flavor; fast and easy; order at the window; they call your order number when ready. Picnic table under large shade trees to wait or eat. Easy to find. Plenty of parking in the back. I travel through Espanola to Santa Fe often and will be stopping here again.

What a find!! Lots of locals eating here which we always take as a good sign. This is a walk up and order your food place, no indoor eating. There are some tables to eat at outside of the weather is nice. Most people seemed to be picking food up to go. The food was fresh, authentic and VERY good!! Highly recommend checking this little slice of Heaven out.

We always stop at el parasol when in the area but this was a first time visit at this location. Ample parking and outdoor seating. Fast service and the food was just as good as the other locations. We love you guys!

I live across the country and every year I come to live in Española, NM for at least a month. El Parasol is the first place I eat at and the last before I leave. I always joke with the workers that I wish I could order and have it flown to FL/KY. I’ve never had a bad experience. BEST TACOS I’VE EVER HAD!

All I can say is "Where's the meat?" I ordered the chicken avocado tostada and could not find the chicken. So disappointing! It was all beans out of a can and some avocado:(

Needed a quick stop passing through Española and this taco stand was perfect. Quick and tasty. The salsas were not just good, but special. Pork and beef were superb; chicken was a little dry/bland.
