Bday cake

We ordered a birthday cake from here and it was our first time here, and it was pretty good. Cake was moist and filling was also good as was the butter cream on the outside. Haven't tried anything else at this bakery.

Cakes are top!

For my husband's 50th Birthday I ordered him a chocolate cake with cannoli cream filling. It was EXCELLENT. Whenever I need a cake to take to someone's house we make sure to stop at La Dolce Bakery. Friendly staff makes this bakery a plus. Not to mention never disappointed in their pastries, bread or other treats!

DIGUSTING

Disgusting, margarine, sugar and other poisonous chemical loaded baking, without real chocolate. Has nothing to do with Italy. Go there if you hate yourself!

They've got the sweets!

I get all special occasion cakes here. They make delicious layer cakes and will use whipped cream if you don't want butter cream. They have a wonderful assortment of Italian cookies and treats. Everything is very good.

If you are willing to put your "Diet" 'on-hold', then go to La Dolce Bakery in The Freehold Raintree Plaza off Main Street, in Freehold TOWNSHIP just outside The Freehold BOROUGH limits. Sinfully delicious goodies to enjoy.

Total disappointment as far as a bakery

I was happy when I happened to drive by and see a bakery. That all changed once I went inside. They have a very small variety of baked goods.They had very few cakes and hardly any breads.There were no donuts or brownies. They had some cookies and a decent amount of pastries. Unfortunately their items are expensive and not fresh. I will not be returning there ever.

Don't order a specialty cake because

You may not get what you ordered. I ordered a birthday cake & specified it could not be chocolate as she is allergic to chocolate. I asked to have "happy birthday" written on the cake. It was the worse writing I had ever seen. I was embarrassed to Steve it but didn't have time to get another cake. Imagine how I felt when my friend made the first cut & we saw it was a chocolate cake. I haven't been back to this bakery since.

LOVE This Place!

Everything in this bakery is awesome! From the minute you open the door, you are swaddled in a sugar high. It smells like an old time bakery, and they have all my favorites: Cannolis, Eclairs, etc.

Yule Log was awful

I bought their Yule log for a family gathering. I was so embarassed. The cake was dry (almost stale). I have had a better Pepperidge farm cake. Will not return.

I Thought I Was Back In Brooklyn!!!!

Always fresh, aromas enticing, great Italian bread. Cakes to order, pastries are mouth watering. Whenever I need sweets or bread I go to La Dolce!!!

Real Italian Bakery in NJ

This is the on,y bakery in the Freehold vicinity which I would call a true italian bakery! Authentic on the lines of Brooklyn. The best around a must try!

Amazing cakes and pastries

Amazing !!! The best custom cake we have ever ordered! The price was very reasonable , the owner was so easy to work with and very helpful. We ordered a three tiered cake for my daughter's sweet 16. It looked exactly like what we talked about. It was gorgeous and the quality of the cake itself was amazing.. I will never use another bakery again . Make sure to try their pastries too !! They are to die for ! This is an old world Italian bakery !

AMAZING COOKIES!!!

Italian Butter cookies are my favorite and La Dolce truly has the best!!! I crave them. :) Where I live over in Hamilton, NJ we do not have annnny bakeries that come close so I will drive to Freehold just for something sweet from this wonderful place. Friendly owners as well.
