Have been going to LouCas for over 20 years. Always excellent food, great service and .......it’s BYOB!!! The fish is fresh, the meat is tender and the waiters always know exactly what is going on. Great place for large or small group. Kudos to the chefs. I plan to be going there for many years to come !!!

Good food, BYOB, which is always good. Food is a little overpriced and some of the dishes lack TLC. Huge place that has 2 dining areas that seat around 300 people, which is why the food can be somewhat disappointing at times.

Our brother came up from Florida wanted to go to a nice friendly restaurant so my son picked this place you can bring your own liquor which is great one thing I’ve learned is that’s a large portion of the bill if everyone is drinking. 11 people sat down for dinner waiter very good told us about the specials we ordered appetizers when brought to the table were good and hot. Main course was hot and very very good some had seafood some had chicken some had the double cut pork chop that’s fantastic no one had any problems with the food they loved the place I truly loved the double cut pork!!!!!!!!

So with a group of 8 couples meeting for our annual reunion dinner during the Christmas season, we had dinner at LouCas. Think cramped Italian wedding banquet to approach the ambiance. Add in an up selling waiter who fails to mention the price of the many specials and makes you request to see the menu. Order more food than can fit on the meager allocation of table space but most of the group seem to enjoy what they are eating even though your veal has been overcooked. Bringing your own alcoholic beverage and the pricing of the food resulted in a per couple contribution of $125 including a more than fair gratuity. And that my friends is LouCas.

I went here with my fiance on his birthday, and the experience was fine, but the food was subpar and did not match the prices at all. Plus, our waiter was kind of passive aggressive (or just aggressive) and we hardly knew he was there. We were really excited to come here because we hadn't had Italian food in quite a while. We ordered the caprese and calamari for appetizers, and they essentially sliced the thinnest tomato they could, and slapped a pound of mozzarella cheese on top of it, and the calamari was swimming in balsamic vinegar. I actually nearly choked when I inhaled the fumes of the balsamic. I am convinced they poured a whole bottle on it. Our entrees were the chicken marsala and the clam pasta, and both were very lacking in flavor and not very good. And, the clam pasta was covered in large slices of garlic. I had to brush my teeth like 9 times to get the awful taste out of my mouth. Not worth the prices either. Overall disappointing and I wish I had saved my money and gone elsewhere.

Average Italian food, plentiful portions. This restaurant is a BYOB, we had 3 bottles, the server put the wine cooler in the middle of the table. When all of our appetizers came, there was no room to put our appetizers we were all sharing. We asked for a wine stand, and she rudely said with covid they can't have a stand and proceeded to put on wine cooler on the floor. I told her you are worried about covid with a stand, but you think the floor is any better. She walked away, I had to go to another table take a chair and put the wine cooler on a chair. Was not impressed with the service. Prices are inline with the food and portions. Rooms are very noisy and packed (not worried about Covid packing in the tables).....There are plenty of better restaurants that are BYOB that have excellent food and know how to treat wine.

Loucas had appeared, at least by photos and prior reviews, to be of fine fare and dining. The imagery of fine dining is certainly there but the actual quality of service and food is another thing. First off let me say that I have traveled extensively all over the country visiting various restaurants of all kinds across the US. Italian food being typically of my first choice. Loucas by no means compares to "fine Italian dining" by any stretch ...the order of calamari was like chewing through rubber and tasteless. The food served cold to warm, and needless to say did not contain the fulfillment in taste to the palate that this restaurant makes itself out to be. After the bill was paid I did speak to the owner (not to receive any form of reprieve monetarily) but to notify him of the lack in quality in the food. The first dumb question he asked was, "I'm sorry about the calamari, what else was wrong". I explained the food served was cold. His response, "I find that hard to believe". Well his lack of acknowledgement to the circumstances automatically tells you he is self diluted that NOTHING could potentially be wrong. I did also mention that the quality of food probably is better at the Olive Garden - it case he was wondering. His lack of response was atrocious.

We have been going to LouCas for more than 25 years. It is our go-to restaurant. We have dined regularly as a couple, dined with up to 3 other couples, reserved the side room for family celebration dinners like graduations or birthdays with 20+ guests, had Thanksgiving there with family at least twice, etc. The quality of the food and its presentation, variety of dishes on the menu, the flavors brought out in each bite, and just simply the overall experience have been on such a high level throughout the years. We have NEVER had a bad meal, or bad service. We have NEVER been bored by the menu or disappointed in a particular dish. The front desk has always been as accommodating as possible. Yes it gets crowded on weekend nights (when we could go out before this pandemic), but you have to accept that from a place that is consistently high quality. Our favorite table, the corner one near the front desk, gives you a great view of the dining room and makes you feel like you’re king of the world! Whether you want interesting seafood or more traditional Italian fare, LouCas has always been top notch.

We went here for Mothers day brunch and it was a great experience. We were seated right away, given warm tasty bread and water. We forgot it was BYOB. I had the the eggplant rolatini appetizer and the Salmon and both were excellent. My guests had the seafood risotto which was also great. We all took home the desserts since the food portions were so large. Our server Mellissa was excellent. Can’t say enough about the quality of the food and the service - total bill for 3 for a 4 course meal was $170.00

My family and I have been coming here for over 20 years, had Christmas eve dinners here, repasses, graduation, and retirement parties here. Tonight I came here for my birthday and was EXTREMELY disappointed with the food. The eggplant tasted bitter as if it came from the freezer. The Chilean seabass that was the special for 44$ was very small, it was supposed to come with mushrooms and asparagus and I had one piece of asparagus and MAYBE 2 small mushrooms. When I spoke to the manager about how I was disappointed she took the money from me and smirked at me before I walked away. LouCas you lost a very loyal family, I will never recommended people to go here. Take your money else where. The food is absolutely not worth it!

We called to make a reservation for a private room at the restaurant since we had a party of 15 guests and we had to secure a room for $100 which had to be paid for prior to the reservation date. On the day of our reservation, our party arrives on time and the restaurant did not have our private room prepared, instead, the room was occupied by another party. Instead of sharing with us that the previous party came late, the manager attempted to seat us in an open area that we did not pay to reserve. Despite paying $100 to reserve the room there was no apology or reconciliation. Even though we made paid reservations we were not given very good customer service. I attempted to speak with the manager but I was not given any apology or explanation as to why this happened.

LouCas is always crowded for dinner on Saturday. Last night was no exception. Four of us, two couples, met for the 5:15 PM reservation I made and was lucky to get. We shared two appetizers: Clams Casino and Fried Calamari. The entrees included Veal and Pork Milanese, Filet Minion, and I ordered Seafood Capellini that included lobster, shrimp, clams and mussels. Everyone thought their meals were good, although the two Milanese dishes were thought to be a bit on the tasteless side. My dinner was excellent. LouCas is a BYOB restaurant, so we brought a couple of our favorite wines. Overall, the service was very good but predictably the prices had increased since the previous visits.

We eat at this BYOB several times a year. The food is usually excellent, and the service is always very good. The place gets crowded on Saturday evenings and last night was no exception. Always make a reservation, go early and expect tight seating. They also offer outdoor dining. Our party consisted of two couples, and we brought two excellent bottles of wine. We shared Lump Crab Cocktail and Clams on the Half Shell for appetizers. Our entrees were Veal Marsala, Asian Spiced Salmon (special ordered), Chicken Giambotta, and Shrimp Stuffed with Crabmeat. The meals were excellent with the exception of The Stuffed Shrimp which was "OK". Service was very good, even though the crowded conditions made it difficult to even walk around. We will be back.

Fabulous meal with friends! We all had something different; everything was wonderful; we just forgot to bring a bottle of wine with us. It's a gem hidden in a small shopping center near Menlo Park Mall...worth the 45 minute drive from our home near Pennsylvania.

My server Alyssa was excellent! She was very personable and obviously knew the menu and specials extremely well, almost as if she had personally prepared the food in the kitchen herself. I was full after a starter and main course, but she was so sales oriented that she even displayed the full selection of desserts to me, which helped me to decide to take one with me “to go”.
