Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Incredible evening from start to finish . Welcoming staff , food was great . You have to have their mussels appetizer so fresh you will go through half a loaf of bread sipping up the sauce . Ambiance is cozy and fun . The place is spacious and the owner entertains his guests with fantastic music and his incredible voice . You have to go on a Saturday night . You’ll return !!!

Even though we ride past Annabella's often, I never put it on my dining radar. That changed when I came for a lunch with my hubby and then a lunch with a dear friend. The proprietor, Billy, struck up a conversation with us and added to our dining experience. He recommended a nice Chianti, filled us in on the entertainment, food, and history- all fascinating. It's part deli, restaurant and bar. There are some delicious selections to be had. Service is casual, accommodating, and friendly. On my 2 visits so far I tried the following: Rice balls-very good Italian egg roll - my husband enjoyed it Chicken parm dinner Lemon chicken w roasted potatoes Chicken cutlet w Fresh mozzarella & broccoli rabe sandwich- very good Cheesecake- excellent Annabella's is a nice spot for authentic Italian cuisine in a casual atmosphere. Looking forward to more visits.

Good things first. The servers were friendly and attentive. I believe ownership even stopped by our table near the end of the meal Bad things I had a signature dish of a chicken patty on pasta with mozzarella and cherry tomatoes and a tiny bit of pesto. It was tasteless. Maybe it could have done with a lot more pesto. The chicken patty was hot but spaghetti mozzarella tomatoes were all cold so it was weird. I was hungry and pressed for time so I ate it without complaint. My friend had the bolognese with eggplant. It had a great taste but there were chunks of under cooked eggplant that ruined the taste The room has no decor and looks like a sports bar with a concrete floor. Lighting is over bright at the bar causing glare if you faced that direction because people were making mozzarella behind the bar and needed to see what they were doing I was discouraged by pricing which was really high for all the mistakes. I’ve had better Italian food in the corner pizza place at half the price all ovet northern New Jersey. It was also named something like aunt xxx mozzarella house. Not the name on this file

Holy cow this place is awesome a MUST GO TO. Staff was super nice and very attentive, Food was fabulous and even the owner came out to greet us and sign to us. If you get close you have to go here....

Thank you Angelina for the perfect suggestions! Meatballs, good! The mozza plate, great! Italian egg rolls, fantastic!! Oh, and the ceaser salad. Interesting atmosphere/layout. When you walk in you will come to a deli and bar type setup. Continue past that to the dining area. Grab a seat and enjoy a fantastic meal! Apparently the Sangrias are tasty and potent. It seems out of the way and off the beaten path. And it is... but worth it!

We went here because it was close to our hotel. The food is amazing. My husband thought the mussels were the best he had ever had. The wine list was atypical and carefully chosen. The service was top notch and the evening was topped Off by great live music. Including a serenade by the owner, A quick dinner turned into memorable night out. It may be the highlight of our trip to nyc area

While on a trip to New Jersey for a football game we were staying nearby and this restaurant was recommended by the hotel. We walked in to a welcoming and warm environment with live music in a unique setting and friendly staff. Being from Canada and not knowing our way around we were pleased to find a place so welcoming and friendly. The food was fantastic with in house made mozzarella and I had the chicken parm. Huge portions and delicious food. The staff were amazing and treated us like family. The live music was awesome with the owner himself being apart of the entertainment. We went in as guests and left as family. The owner sat with us when the music finished and we stayed until closing time. Absolutely fantastic and a simple meal away from home turned into a family meal experience. We hope to go back before we head north to our igloos and polar bears.( inside joke with the staff)Thank you so much to the owner management and staff for an unforgettable experience. If you get the chance check this place out !

I stayed across the street at the Holiday Inn and this place was across the street. I read the reviews both good and not so good but I always root for the underdog so I decided to run across the highway and try it. When entering the location you start in a market area where you can buy Goods to take home with you. You then go past the deli and there was the restaurant and I wasn't sure where to sit because they were two bars but I chose the bar towards the back of the location. I sat down and notice they have no draft beer but that's okay bottle this is just fine by me they had country music playing in the background which I thought was odd but oh well there were several televisions up on the wall above the bar and all of them were not turned on I ordered my appetizer which was the mozzarella sticks which were very good and I also ordered my entree which is the chicken parm which was also very good huge portion I couldn't even finish half of it but I did notice that my server Carol I think her name was was pretty flustered trying to make drinks behind the bar with no with no spirits to make them. Overall it was great food but it was a really strange an awkward atmosphere and with the tension with the staff it seems a little off-putting would I go back probably not I just wish they would tighten up the ship a little bit.

My wife and I just had an amazing dining experience at Annabella’s. We started off with the three small but oh so good rice balls and the egg plant tower. For main course I had the sea food manicotti which had lobster and shrimp and my wife had grilled chicken Caesar salad Shout out to Angelina our gracious server

Friendly, casual, family restaurant serving up absolutely delicious Italian fare. Make sure to try one or more appetizers, especially the mozzarella sticks. Cheesecake to ‘die’ for.

We stumbled upon this restaurant before the dinner rush and we are so glad we stopped in. The atmosphere was very inviting. We were greeted by Donna with a huge smile. She made us feel like family. There were so many choices we couldn't decide where to start. Donna offered us great entree selections. From vino to pop we had plenty of beverages to from... something for everyone in our party. Fresh awesome food, great staff, excellent hospitality. This is one place where tradition is still being served! Italian family recipes at its best!

Authentic and fresh, served piping hot. Very ample servings. Chicken Parmesan had two large pc. of chicken with perfect al dente pasta. Penne pasta with fresh basil pesto with prosciutto and sun dried tomatoes was to die for.. Fresh bread with dipping old served with each meal, a nice twist is that it was sprinkled with fresh grated parmesan.

Dined in at Annabella's. The mozzarella plate was to die for. The mozzarella is the best I've had since Italy. They make it there on site!! Don't leave without tasting and ordering for home the Rice Balls. Three rice balls with a great sauce served on the side. The cheesecake was creamy, smooth and melted in my mouth. Skip the strachiatella soup (egg drop soup). It was too salty. Good house wine Dante Pinot Nior.
