Service good, but not great

My husband and I went to Vesta as a treat for Valentine's Day. Although we had a reservation and Vesta has two rooms, we weren't asked which room we wanted. I ordered lobster bisque ($12!), which was served lukewarm. Bad enough, but our pizza was served at the same time! Appetizers should be served before the entree, so that both courses can be eaten while hot. Also, the waitress spoke so softly that I could barely hear her. Other than that, service was good, and Vesta has a nice ambiance. We would definitely go back, but I was disappointed, and I wanted to share our experience. I hope they read this review and make improvements.

Go for a nice casual dinner............

Big parking lot and a nice looking restaurant. It can get loud and the overhead music is loud. I asked if they could lower it a bit which they did and that was thoughtful. The proprietor is Todd Villani, who ran Terre a Terre a few years ago. We came because e he knows how to cook and we were not disappointed. Everything was delicious: Crispy fried artichokes, white pizza with pears and candied walnuts, mushroom risotto, and prime skirt steak. were all enjoyed. ,

Cool salads on a very hot night under a nice tent with fans to circulate the air. A surprisingly good specialty drink made with Asbury Park vodka. We will be back. Reasonable prices too and excellent service.

The bruschetta, salad and pizza was delicious. Drinks are little overpriced but overall fantastic experience. We sat in the bar area, our server was attentive and the wait for the food wasn’t long. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. the pizza was thin and crispy, just how I like it.

By chance my neighbor researched resturants near MetLife stadium. The food was delicious, the server was pleasant, courteous and attentive. The decor and ambiance was beautiful inside and out. They also offer outdoor dining too. Highly recommend. Would definitely go back again.

We visited this restaurant on Thanksgiving. We were in town for a tournament, away from our extended family for Thanksgiving dinner for the first time ever. This place sounded good, was close to our hotel and was OPEN! What a great meal we enjoyed. Only a few other tables were occupied, but our service was fantastic and the food was a notch above. Apparently, this place is known for their pizza....but we had already done the pizza thing for lunch on the drive into NJ. We had the meatballs and arancini for apps. SO GOOD. I had the chicken parm which was really well executed. The rest of the table had spaghetti, penne with vodka sauce, and lasagna. All were very good. We had every intention to return and try their pizza on another evening but got sidetracked. If we are back next year, we will DEFINITELY be visiting this restaurant again. Can't recommend enough. Thanks for making our Thanksgiving dinner away from home so enjoyable!

Been to Vesta multiple times since I started working in the area. Place is nice, food is excellent, and Edmond (waiter) is awesome and a gentleman. Calamari is fantastic! Also recommend pepperoni pizza.

Pear and Gorgonzola Pizza FTW

I have been to Vesta many times both personal and business. The options for the pizzas are outstanding. The service is very good, and the drink selections, especially the beers are extensive. My only complaint is that the pricing can get a bit high. However, I will pay what is necessary for the pear and gorgonzola pizza. It might be my favorite pizza ever made, the toppings having a perfect juxtaposition of sweet and savory. The toppings are fresh and the crust is perfect. Overall, I highly recommend.

Best pizza ever!!

While visiting from North Carolina my wife and I wanted to try some real New York Pizza. We found it in New Jersey OH MY GOD it was amazing. The staff never missed a beat the appetizers were off the chain great and then the pizza. By far the best I've ever had. Can't wait to travel that way again.

Nice people server couldn’t have been more than 20 but was spot on. I think his name is Scott. But the food is not good. Pasta special was inedible if you served it in Italy you have been dragged through the streets like Mussolini. Stick to the pizza Pleasant deserts.

Seems like there was a fire and there's a notice to vacate the building. The Google on TripAdvisor advertising should be updated to reflect this is no longer in operating business

Awesome pizza

Brought a customer here based on his recommendation. Service was excellent. Constantly refilling water. Bread came out quickly. Ordered eggplant rolatini. 3 of them. Very very good. I ordered a personal pizza. Margarita best pizza ever had. Ate the final slices on way home. Very nice place. Would certainly go back!
