Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This spot is great for a special occasion . I had my daughters engagement party in their banquet room. The staff was exceptional and food delicious. Dominick, the owner, was gracious and gave us ample time to decorate and set up videos. We had 85 people and everyone was comfortable. My guests were so very pleased with the menu. His calamari, penne vodka, orchiette with broccoli, eggplant rollatini, and chicken parmigiana were among the favorites and so delicious. I was so very pleased with the dinner and staff.

We recently attended a catered affair. Nothing was amazing - either plus or minus. That alone is enough said. The food was an overall average - the salads and calamari were both very good. The chicken was tough and the egg plant rollatini was hard. The dishes were constantly replenished and the line went smoothly. There was very loud and distracting noise made by the staff throughout the night moving chairs around as folks were trying to speak to the group. That could have been handled better. My bottom line is the evening was just average.

This is a great Italian restaurant, it's very old school. The owner Dominic is very gregarious and welcomes everyone. Don't believe the negative reviews. My guess is that these folks were not very happy to begin with. If you take the time to get to know Dominic and the staff, you will be pleasantly surprised at just how accommodating they can be. We have never had a bad experience or meal at this restaurant and we have been back numerous times. If it's not on the menu, simply ask and you will find that they will try their utmost to make you happy. Our favorite server is Nancy, she is a gem! We will, be back, Robert and Mignonne.

We should have turned around as soon as we entered. My grandson asked to leave as soon as we were seated. We had planned to go to a nearby restaurant which was closed for a private party. Unfortunately Al Di La was in close proximity. The service was slow and are server seemed confused. We ordered a wine and waited about 20minutes before the server informed us that they were looking for in their cellar. Out of frustration, we decided to forego wine and stuck to water. My grandson ordered a pizza, my daughter a salad and a chicken dish, while my wife decided on a garlic shrimp appetizer. I also ordered a pizza as the menu was limited. We waited about 20 minutes before our server informed us that our food would be out shortly. We would have been better off if the food never arrived. The pizzas were almost inedible and consisted of what looked like Hunt’s tomato paste on some kind of cracker-like crust and semi melted cheese. My daughter’s dish of chicken was overcooked and cold. My wife’s dish was the only one that was ok. The server seemed surprised that we didn’t choose to take much of the food home. This place should be avoided.

After finishing a just a "fair" quality meal, the NASTY Manager refused to honor my "Local Flavor" voucher. After much discussion and my insistence, he said he would take it "so he wouldn't have to hear my mouth" ( I was not loud or nasty). No one should have to put up with this jerk!

Such a great Italian restaurant! I had the Veal Papparazzi with Penne Marinara on the side, my wife had the Ahi Tuna with Broccoli de Rabe on the side. All was cooked perfectly and was absolutely delicioso. Nancy, our waitress was equally fantastic and, Dominic, the owner was his typical warn and friendly self! We enjoyed our evening immensely! We will be back!

Was invited to a birthday celebration for a friend. First of all the help was nasty and we all waited forever for our food. When it came out it was cold especially the chicken was frozen which is what the host of the party ordered. Took a long time for the waitress to come back out to tell her about this issue. She said of course it's cold now what do you want me to do about it. The host called over the manager. He took the meals and nuked each for what was about 30 seconds. When it was re-served no change in the coldness of the food. Thankfully the host brought his own cake for the Birthday person--so the desert was good. When paying the host left a minimal tip as the service did not warrant a big tip. The manager came over and had the nerve to complain about the amount of the tip and informed the host that his credit card was rejected and demanded cash. The host immediately called the credit card company. No charge had come in from Al Di La Bistro and the card was in working order. Never ever will I ever eat there again.

We were in the area again and stopped for an early dinner on a Sunday. The Sunday gravy was amazing. It was true delicious Italian cooking. The pasta was done perfectly. We also had the fried calamari. It was very tender and tasteful. Hope to be back soon. Enjoy!

Even though it sits just off of Route 17, I have driven by it for decades and never stopped in. Recently, I have tried it and it mad me disappointed because of all the good food I was missing. Nice menu without being either too sparse or too confusing. Host had advised us that if we want something that wasn't on the menu, he would be happy to accommodate. Food was delicious, atmosphere was comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice meal.

I hosted my wife’s 30th birthday celebration here. It was a family style dinner and the food was perfect. Dominic, the owner, worked with me to create a great menu for all 35 of our guests. They’re Vodka sauce is probably the best I’ve ever had. Looking forward to coming back here for dinner.

We heard that they have a good vodka sauce here and it is true!. We had rigatoni, angel hair pasta, and linguine with their vodka sauce. We also had their chicken savoy and it was excellent. Service was good and the fs good and it is pleasantly decorated.
