Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The reason I decided to eat here was because of the positive Trip Advisor reviews. Marino's did not disappoint. The one thing that needs to be mentioned up front, because it caught me be surprise, is that the servers were not very fluent speaking English except for one, yet they were all incredibly helpful and polite. This situation actually gave me an opportunity to try out the translation app on my phone to look up menu items and to communicate conversationally. It worked out great and they really appreciated my effort, while I appreciated their patience. The Trucha con salso de ajo was a good size trout filet, perfectly fried and covered in a tasty garlic sauce. It came with a side of plain white rice. There were many items on the menu that looked really good so I am looking forward to coming back. While dining I noticed they also do a lot of take out business.

This restaurant has one the most delicious Peruvian food in the region. The food is just amazing, the staff is very friendly. If you are looking for something new and exciting to try, come to Marino’s. The location and parking easy to find. YUM - YUM. Try the Pescado Macho.

This was my first time trying Peruvian food. My wife and I had a great seafood ceviche as starter, then moving on to the mixed grill platter. The grilled meat is very different compared to typical American grilled food. The cuts are very thin and well seasoned. We loved it! It's a BYOB, the atmosphere is casual, with TV screens showing soccer, and the staff very friendly and helpful. The menu is mostly translated into English but you may need to put a few words into google or ask the waiter. I highly recommend it!

Went for a business lunch, and it was very pleasant. Service was great and food was very good. You are able to get authentic Peruvian food, some of it imported from Peru. Portions are very large! My fish with pasta was enough for 3 people. Great food, but so much!

The pesto pasta is amazing. It was bursting with flavor. It came with chicken, steak or fish. I opted for the chicken. The chicken was sizable. The two types of hot sauce given with the meal seemed homemade and just as yummy. It didn’t come with the cheese sauce and sweet plantain that I’ve had at another Peruvian restaurant. However, the food and service was great.

This was my first experience with Peruvian cuisine, but it won't be my last. Marino's Cafe is located at the busy intersection of Belmont Avenue and Route 46, so it is easy to find. They have off-street parking behind the building, which is a plus. When you enter the restaurant from the parking lot, you walk into a large, open space with plenty of light from wall-to-wall windows. The noise level is very high, both from the many conversations going on, and the music that was coming from the speakers all around the room. If you are looking for a quiet, intimate dining experience this isn't the spot for you We were a party of three, including my wife and my son. My son had some experience with Peruvian cuisine, so we relied on him for help with ordering and we weren't disappointed. We ordered arroz chaufa with chicken & beef, chuleta a la parrilla and parihuela, and I can recommend all of these. Arroz Chaufa is Chinese-style fried rice, and it was very good. If you like the fried rice in Chinese restaurants, then you will really like this dish. The taste is exactly the same. Chuleta a la parrilla is a barbecued pork chop, and it was also very good. If you would order a barbecued pork chop in a diner, then you will enjoy this dish. The parihuela is a seafood soup/stew that was among the best that I have ever had anywhere. The broth was a top-quality seafood stock that was exquisite. It was also loaded with top-quality seafood including crab claws and mussels (no "sea legs" here). If you have never had Peruvian cuisine, this is a good place to start. The servers speak English and the service is very good. There is another Peruvian restaurant named Marino's in Dover, and I assume that they are owned by the same family but I have no experience with the other location. This review is for the one at 90 Belmont Avenue. I will definitely return when I am in this area.

Good place to bring some friends. Its a BYOB. The Lamb is delicious. It falls off the bone. Their Chauffa is so delicious. That is fried rice....better than any chinese I have ever eaten. You can get either steak, chicken, or shrimp on it. The fried fish platter is HUGE! The prices are awesome. Go try it. You will be glad you did. !!

By far it is the best Peruvian restaurant in this area. Serves some of the most well known Peruvian dishes...the best, their limo saltado, ceviche, papa rellena y arroz chaufa. If you want a different type of Latino food experience....go to Marinos.

My wife in Peruvian and we both love going to Marino's. Everything tastes amazing and authentic from their ceviches to their chicharron de pescado and everything in between. They also offer daily specials from Monday through Friday the entire day. The specials include soup and a drink usually for no more than $7, an AMAZING value!!

Just coming back from a trip to Peru we have been looking for a good Peruvian restaurant and found Marino's Café in Dover. The food was outstanding and the portions are plentiful. We will definitely be back. Oh, and it's BYOB

We really enjoyed this restaurant. The ambiance is a little cold but the food is very good and really authentic. We tried the fried yucca, the choclo (giant corn) and the civeche. I would definitely recommend getting mild civeche--we had medium and it was pretty hot. But it was delicious nonetheless.
