I am normally not a barbeque person, but loved this place! Went here after asking a few locals where they go for lunch. Glad we took their suggestions. My first time stating a place is better than a 3-Star, but not quite a 4-Star. We ordered their vaunted smoked Tri-Tip sammies--VC Cheesesteak and the French Dip. While the meat was lean and well-smoked, and the sourdough roll a very nice compliment, it was...a bit of a disappointment with the amount of meat we were given. Had we not seen previous photos of extremely robust sandwiches, it probably would not have been an issue. We were some of the first patrons when they opened, so they should have had plenty of product. Sides were good though, and they were nice folks. But when my bird eating Wifey can finish her whole meal, my pickle, and still want a snack afterwards, it was rather unexpected. Great flavor and sauces, though...More

Stopped by here for lunch as the side walk smoker wafted its woody odors across the streets - most modern resuarants do not really wood smoke their meats but do an oven smoking technique with smoking pellets and aluminum foil - these guys use real...oak for pork and pecan for beef and it is smoked right there on the sidewalk - really good slaw and the spicy pulled pork san was hearty and super flavorful - outdoor seating in the fresh mountain air - good for the soul !!More

Had the tri-tip and spicy pulled pork sandwiches with sides. Quick service. Tasty meat. Recommended.

Fast service and great selection. I would recommend the spicy pork sandwich, the pastrami sandwich, and the tri-tip dip! Sides were good, reasonably priced, and lots of outdoor seating. Might need to park a distance away from the restaurant, but it is worth the walk.

Food cooked in smoker on the sidewalk. Terrific smell while you’re dining outside. Large sandwich with a lot of meat. Choice of barbecue sauce. Side of potato salad tasted fresh and homemade. Friendly service and reasonably priced. If in Virginia City, don’t miss it.

The tri-tip was amazing. Tender and Smokey-easy to bite through. Great bread. Baked beans as a side were excellent too. Purchased some of their homemade hot jerky- very hot - very delicious. Next time I’ll be sure to try the ribs - they looked so...good. Not too much seating so arrive early or eat on the run.More
