Decent lunch

A group of coworkers and I stopped in for lunch recently. The bar is nicely decorated and the waitress was super nice. The wings were cheap and the beers were priced right for their special. The tater tots were average. Some of us had chicken sandwiches. They were inconsistent at best. Some folks seemed to have extra thick pieces while others had very thin pieces. The photo I took doesn’t show how thin the piece was but it was still good.

Nice Place for Drinks, Food and Fun

We went to Bennington for the 2018 Bennington Daze celebration. After visiting the downtown area we traveled to The Warehouse. This was our first visit to the location and we were quite pleased. They had a outdoor patio, but had sent up a tent and had live music in the parking lot. After we spent some time outside, we decided to head indoors to get away from the heat.The inside was very large and neatly decorated. We sat at the bar and were quickly waited on. Due to the festival, they were only offering a limited menu at the time. We did order an appetizer which arrived quickly. They have a wing special during the week and we plan to go back and give it a try. Overall a nice, clean, bar with a great menu and good service.

Good stopping point on afternoon rides.

The Warehouse is where we go when we want to get out on the motorcycle but don't want to go too far. They have good wings and the Down and Dirty is the only way to go. It is a unique blend of all their wing sauces. They have a good beer selection and their Skinny Juice is pretty tasty. I had the grape version. The restaurant is clean and family friendly.

Lack of service and respect

When a sandwich was brought with cheese that had been requested without cheese due to an allergy, the waitress advised right away that they would make it correctly yet to keep the sandwich as it couldn’t be taken back. The replaced sandwich came out 45 min later. We were charged full price for both sandwiches without any type of discount. The worst part was the manager Chris was very rude saying that someone else ate it so we had to pay for it with no apology. Others told us that they tend to have bad service so they don’t go back. Our food was ok yet we will take our business elsewhere where they know how to treat people with respect.

Beware of Keno

If you go there to play Keno, just beware. Played a $75 ticket for one game, but the ticket was written as 75 games for $1. You can imagine the feeling when it hit the first game. Went from a hand pay from headquarters to digging out change from the drawer.

First time here, we will definitely go back! Service was fantastic, Brittney was a sweetheart and took good care of us. Steak and baked potato were outstanding, and Warehouse Melt and tots was really good too! Good pricing, family atmosphere, clean and definitely a place you should try!

Warning; long post! Read til the end! Terrible Service!

When we walked in, we were greeted by a very nice young girl and seated. That’s where things went downhill, fast! We waited at least 12-15 min’s prior to asking for a server. To which we received “Let me check”. Couple minutes later same server comes back and says, “she’ll be right over it’s her first day”. “Great, no problem”. I waited tables and tended bar all through college, and a few years after so I can appreciate being new. Especially since the place was at a pretty high capacity. The server comes over a few mins later and in an incredibly condescending tone says, “hello, thank you so much for being patient”, and asks what we’d like to drink. Of course, her fellow server told her we’d asked for her. The delivery wasn’t lost, by any of us in the party. I ask if we can just order everything. She takes our order and comes back with my spouses salad and refills his drink. Our food comes out in a timely manner, at which point she never returns to check on us, but assists in cleaning a table which isn’t hers directly in front of us. When we are finished with our less than mediocre food, and no refills the rest of the day meal, (I had the chicken Philly, the cheese was melted on 1/2 my sandwich, my fries were undercooked, my spouses chicken breast was incredibly dry, my mom’s food however, was the best thing received, I’ll give credit where credit is due), she comes over and asks if we’re doing alright. We’re finished. Our bill comes out and everything is at least $2+ more than the menu price. We ask about it, “let me go check with the owner”. She comes back and says “because of the price of food going up our prices have raised but we haven’t updated our menus”. My spouse relays a message of disappointment regarding not being notified in advance, however, expresses he understands and we’ll pay for it. However, due to the lack of communication and poor service, we won’t be returning and please relay to your owner that she lost business from someone moving in within walking distance of the establishment. The owner conveniently comes over to clean our table as the waitress walks away and the short interaction explains EVERYTHING in the behavior of her staff. Her body language right off the bat was extremely unapproachable and she wasn’t interested in anything we had to say, with a rebuttal of excuses. Her hostess is on day 2, and she forgot to tell us about the increase, but continues to refer to a 1/2 piece of paper laying on the edge of our table. Surely she didn’t expect us to magically know that refers to the price increase? However, quite the contrary, she did! I won’t pretend to remember verbatim but the main thing that set both of us off was extremely close to; “you don’t have any idea of how my world works”. Prior to this, when I was talking her continued smirks of dissatisfaction in any kind of constructive criticism explained everything. Especially if she’s the one training. Except quite the contrary to her jabs. Between the two of us we have close to 40 years of management experience, where we had anywhere from 12 to over 30 direct reports, which were front line, also. The owners behavior reflects 100% on the behavior of her staff. This was our first and last visit. It was a disgusting encounter at best! She should be ashamed in her behavior. Unfortunately, they have very little competition in the area and people will continue to go to the establishment, I just hope others don’t receive the horrible behaviors and treatments we received tonight. The area is growing and there’s no doubt that when competition arrives, they will either have to change their attitudes and behaviors or they’ll go under, fast!!

My family of four went in for a weekend lunch. I had the Saturday special, the "Bohemian Plate" which was wonderful! Four meals with one appetizer was just under $60

Popped in for lunch. Had the pork burrito. It was tasty though had an Asian inspired flavor when I expected more of a BBQ burrito. The salsa was poor. I added jalapeños and they allege it's so big it doesn't come with a side. Someone with a bigger appetite would need something more. My friends had fries tots philly sandwich and Reuben and they were all pretty mediocre. Probably won't plan to come back unless it's to try the pizza which looked very good.

This is a friendly family owned bar and restaurant. Food is tasty and portions are large. The menu has something for everyone. Taylor is a great bartender/server. The owners are friendly and make an effort to make you feel welcome.
