Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Menu was well constructed and thought out but ownership is a joke and treats employees like dirt. Used their opening chef to get things organized then tossed them to the curb as well as another. Not going to grace them with my money knowing they...take advantage of people and exploit them for an intense job only to cut them off at the shins without so much as the decency of a formal meeting. You cant steal success. You earn it. The yokels that run this are not fit to run a hole in tge ground. Much less family dining.More

It's no secret that the Sport has had its ups-and-downs over the years. Always a great space, now it has food and service to match. The menu is abbreviated, understandably, with plenty of good choices for both carnivores and veg-heads (your reviewer, for instance.) The...vibe is so sweet, old-Montana with good tunes and pleasant, capable service. The food was good, and it came up fast! What's not to like?!More

My wife found this place via TripAd and we were lucky that it wasn’t too busy when we popped in. We both had the bacon bison burger, sharing a basket of fries, and thought it was probably the best burger we’ve ever had. It was...tasty, juicy, perfectly cooked and with just the right toppings. I’d love to go back and have another one.More

If you want to feel like you’re in a bar in Montana, here’s the place! Plenty of stuffed animals on the wall for your viewing pleasure. The beet/goat cheese salad and fries were absolutely delicious! I had homemade lemonade that was perfect! Only reason I’m...giving 4, not 5 stars is their wine pours are very small, like we were back in LA paying as much for a glass as we could get a bottle for. Other than that, great experience.More

Pleasant staff. Good microbrew selection. Very good rib steak. Family friendly. Not much parking but the walk was only a couple of blocks.

First and foremost, if you have any concerns about Covid safety, this is NOT the place to go. Not a mask on a single employee and they have no qualms about coming within 6 ft of you, touching money, dirty glasses and then your plate....The mask mandate applies to Park County right now as they have 12 active cases but this place could care less. It took at least 30 minutes to get our food and all we had was a burger and a beet salad. The food was bland, and very skimpy on the salad toppings when that is what supposedly highlighted about the salad. Fries were limp and tasted strange, old oil maybe? Maybe our first clue should have been the woman returning her lunch to the waitress, without eating it, when we walked in. Should've taken heed...More

My husband and I were wandering the streets of Livingston looking for an establishment that was not only open (hard during Covid), but one that had seating for lunch. Lucky for us The Sport had exactly 1 table open for dining. Upon entering, this place...looks like a hunter's sports bar with different kinds of trophy animals mounted on the walls. When we saw that the menu offered several Asian style dishes along with burgers, sandwiches and salads, we thought it was unusual. I ordered the bibimbop, which was excellent. The flavor combinations were great and the portion quite large. My husband had the beet salad, which was also excellent. Service was a little slow, but the place was packed with customers and the staff was working on a skeleton crew. Our server was helpful and friendly. I would definitely go back to this place if I'm ever in Livingston again.More

On vacation in Montana an ducked into The Sport on a whim and to avoid the rain. So glad I did! The ladies who took care of me were incredibly friendly and helpful while being laid back. And had wonderful recommendations. Everyone who comes through...the door is greeted warmly and served promptly. And then there’s the food. Don’t you dare tell my mom, but I had the best meatloaf of my life. Wrapped in bacon. And desert. Beignets unlike any other. Wow. I can highly recommend this place!More

We wanted a good local burger during a short stay in Livingston and The Sport Bar seemed to fit the bill. We were greeted cheerfully and service was attentive. The menu has a nice selection that actually swayed a couple of choices away from the...burgers. The trout was battered like fish and chips, but very tasty. The burgers were excellent, as was the grilled cheese. Beers were local and tasty. Prices were as expected during tourist season, but overall a good choice.More

Always a little hesitant to try a restaurant that has a dozen owners in the past 15 years, but I did. It ended up being one of the best meals of any restaurant that I've eaten at in Livingston. I don't remember the name of...the dish, but it was sort of like two marinated chicken breast with home made cole slaw and mash potatoes. I don't like to put down "other" restaurants in town, but it was far better than 2nd Street Bistro and way above the Rib & Chop house etc. I saw some of the other dishes come out of the kitchen and they looked fantastic too. The price range was good too, cheaper than 2nd street for sure. They had nice music playing to eat to, compared to the previous owners who seemed to always play some heavy-metal music....Imagine trying to eat listening to that. I'm not into the dead animal heads on the wall nor the sports TV in the back, so that would sway some folks, but the food was great. I will be back.More
