Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

In all fairness I was going to eat at another place but it didn't open until 8 so we came here. We came in and seated ourselves at a small table. The place really doesn't have any kind of charm inside and felt rather sterile. I usually pick the greasy spoons for a good breakfast. I ordered the Bird Float Breakfast, which was eggs potatoes, meat and toast. It was ok, nothing special just ok.. My wife ordered the Biscuits and Gravy that were pretty much flavorless. I think they should visit the deep south and experience a real B&G. Our server Ashlee was attentive and good as she was the only one working at the time. All in all the norm for what I have had in Montana.

We stopped for breakfast on our way to Billings and enjoyed a good old fashioned breakfast. My husband enjoyed his favorite, corn beef hash with eggs and hashbrowns. I shared his and we ended up having a delicious blueberry pancake. The restaurant is in the historic Railway station building, where years ago passengers would wait to take them down to Yellowstone National Park. Our waitress was very friendly and helped us decide what to have. Coffee not quite strong enough for me, but I’m particular! Would definitely recommend and we will stop there again.

All the eggs benedict offerings are delicious and love the blueberry pancakes too! Fresh squeezed orange juice is a must. My coffee cup is always full and my server Ginny is always wearing a welcoming smile. Consistent great food and service each and every time!

The food was meh but the server was awful. Never smiled, asked what we wanted, when I questioned a menu item she told me to "pick off" what I didn't want, she also never checked back after we got the food. When she took the plates mine was full because I didn't eat my food and she never asked if everything was ok. She then brought the check and my guest and I put our credit cards down and they were charged immediately. Then the server asked us how long we were going to be there because they had a waiting list at the door. Extremely unprofessional, extremely impolite. I am a local and I will NEVER return to this place.

In the middle of a brief snowstorm, we stopped in for coffee. When we declined the menu, the server's whole demeanor changed. We later realized that she might have preferred us sitting at the counter but there were plenty of empty seats and we'd have gladly moved if asked. The decaf coffee was so weak, I wouldn't even call it coffee-flavored water. The server did, however, continue to refill our cups. I would probably try again since I've definitely heard better things about this Cafe.

I loved this restaurant and would visit every time in Livingston, but this is not the Pinky’s of yesterday. Breakfast served undercooked and over-greased by rather rude service. Received $3.00 discount for inconvenience-doesn’t make up for it, when your partner eats alone while you wait and then you eat alone while he eats. So disappointing compared to my earlier experiences with this place. Will take recommendations of hotel staff and eat elsewhere next time.

Due to Covid, we eat outside, but it was mid-day and smoky and no tables in the shade were to be had. However, the waitress (owner?) told us we could have the one in the shade when the patrons left. We took a short walk and when we came back, the people with the shaded table graciously finished up and waved us over. A positive experience with the people of Livingston! My eggs florentine were good, although I would have liked a few more spices in the home fries. The meal filled me without being too heavy, which was nice on a hot summer day. My husband had the Spanish omelet which he describes as "okay." All in all, a good experience.

Delicious breakfast! What a great place to stumble upon while looking for breakfast. Yummy Eggs Benedict with Home style potatoes. Biscuits and gravy were excellent! Had a side of sausage and that was delicious! Fresh squeezed orange juice was so refreshing! We will certainly stop in next trip through Livingston . Staff was so friendly and really were conscientious with cleaning during COVID .

Poached eggs uncooked. Sent back and next ones cooked hard. Waitress comment - “You should have asked for medium” - so it’s customer’s fault? Potatoes cold. Bacon grease splattered over plate.

We called ahead for our party of 5 and got added to their waiting list, being quoted a 40 minute wait. Arrived a little bit before the quoted time and were promptly seated as one of their larger tables opened up. We all had a very positive experience with the different breakfast options our group chose - everyone came away happy! I thought the sausage patties they offered were some of the best sausage I have had in a while and I also really enjoyed the blueberry pancakes! The staff really hustled and communicated well with each other to make sure each table was getting adequate attention. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

We went here for breakfast. The “hostess” could not have been ruder. Since there was a single in front of us, she decided she needed to make a wait list. I said okay, put us down and we will be back in a couples of minutes. When we came back, she had an opening so sat the single. Then she came to us and said she would have to start a wait list. I told her she already had and we were next. There was a table clearing, and that should be ours. She said she didn’t remember us and that we would have to be on the wait list. The other server told us to go and sit. Tables would open up and it would take 10 minutes to clean, clean and seat customers. The food was not very good. Eggs were cold. Potatoes were also cold. They forgot the orange juice. The one server who sat us was lovely. Tourism is the life blood of this city. They need lessons in hospitality management.

Very nice setting and lovely staff. The coffee was good but the food was disappointing. The toast was factory bread, the pancakes under cooked, the home fries tasted like they had been fried in rancid oil.

Excellent brunch! We had seven people - kids, parents, grandparents - everyone ordered something different and everyone loved their food. Hollandaise is hard to get right but Pinky’s nailed it! Very friendly staff.

Will probably never return to Pinkys... Standard American fare... yet the service was the poorest I've experienced in Livingston. So sorry to have to say this as I love giving positive reviews. If you choose to dine here for breakfast or brunch, be prepared to wait for a long time to receive your food.

Sorry for the delay in posting this review. A crashed hard drive, misplaced travel notes and life got in the way. We had breakfast here on August 3, 2020. The breakfast menu has plenty of options for all. A vegetarian has good options. Service was friendly and efficient. Erik had the Brid Float Breakfast and Cheryl had the Mediterranean scramble. The food arrived in a reasonable time. It was well presented. The food was quite tasty and plentiful. Quite a nice breakfast experience.
