Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Seeing that this was just up the road from our campsite, we stopped in for dinner and a few beers. We chose to sit outside on the patio, and what a great choice. The weather was cooler for early fall, but still comfortable, especially under the big blue sky of Montana. The fried cheese curds take the place of mozzarella sticks and the big PCL salad is fresh spring mix and cabbage topped with large candied pecans and toasted cornbread crumbs and delicious homemade dressings. The PCL burger is angus beef topped with cheddar, baby spinach and fresh red onion and tomato. The big surprise is the awesome sweet onion jam! The chicken wings must come from huge Montana chickens because these things were huge! We did notice that the spice we chose (lots too choose from) was not "hot" as defined by the menu...but still delicious. We enjoyed some local brews, including the Pine Creek Lodge brew from Neptune Brewery and the Moose Drool from Big Sky Brewing Company. Service was friendly and relaxed, and we were happy to hear the live music on the back patio. After we paid the check, we went back there to check it out. If we had brought a sweater, we would have stayed a little longer.

Does Sitting beside a babbling natural little brook under the trees while enjoying live music, a cold beverage , and a delicious meal appeal to you? If so, then this is the place to be. We loved it!! Service was fast, friendly, and welcoming and informal. We sat outside and the bar had beer and wine choices, and we ordered a delicious Penang curry for dinner. They also have indoor seating and bar with a slightly different menu. This was a picture perfect place to enjoy dinner, live music, dancing and good food and drink under the stars. Prices are about $15 and up for meals and a little less for sandwiches. I highly recommend it.

It's hard for my entire crew to be completely satisfied with dinner just because of the pickiness of eating with kids. However, the hot dogs, hamburgers, rib eye and tacos were on the spot. We ate here after hiking up to the water fall and white water rafting at The Flying Pig earlier. The food was great and the staff were too. We didn't stay in the Lodge - just ate in the restaurant.

Best BLT ever, friendly welcoming restaurant beside babbling creek. Live music, casual atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Authentic historical log hewn walls and ceilings. Inside and outside dining. Evening concerts.

I am writing this review about the totchos, the best tater tots in America. Yes, they are that good. Order them before every meal here.
This is a gem of a restaurant. A must stop on the way to Yellowstone.

We’ve been here for lunch and dinner and both were excellent. There is some outside seating but lots inside.

We've been in the area so often over the years but have never stopped in. It was well worth it. I highly recommend either the burger or the tacos. Both were excellent!

Great meal for everyone in our group.
Our order included dishes that ranged from a vegetarian coconut curry to a hamburger to a salad, all of which were very good.
Solid list of craft beers and wines as well.

Staying onsite (in cabin number 6) and tried the restaurant on a whim as our friends are from Emigrant and hadn’t been here yet! From start to finish, service was amazing. Food was delightful. From curry to ribeye to burgers to soup...it was all so good. Will definitely come again!

We have been coming here for years when we visit the area and enjoy the cabin atmosphere and the food. On this most recent trip we had their $5 hamburger special (with tater tots) and the tacos. We also went to their Sunday brunch, sat outside alongside the creek and enjoyed music with our meal. It's off the main highway that goes from Livingston to Yellowstone so look for the signs that say Hwy 540 or East River Road.

We stopped in before a concert being held there so it was a bit busy but still the service was good and friendly. The food was abundant and tasty. It is mostly simple fare but they do it well.

We were at Chico Hot Springs looking for a different place to eat. Wandered down a pretty country road 5-10 miles to this place. There was a concert going on so there were lots of people but the restaurant was quiet. Good food and service with decent prices. We would go back. (Oh yeah. We saw batman)

Sandwiches, salads, tacos & tater tots, all offered with a fine little selection of local brews. This is a great little lunch spot. (Also, having driven past at noontime on Sunday, seems very much to be a popular place for Sunday Brunch, too.) Friendly service.
