Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing sushi. Loved every roll we ordered! Great service too. We didn’t drink but the bar looked great and they had nice cocktail options.

Outstanding menu with intriguing sushi creations. I had the vegetarian Iggy Stardust. The miso soup is a generous serving of freshly sliced mushrooms and tofu. Edamame was perfect. Our server, Quincy, was a lot of fun!

We had heard good things, so my wife and I went for lunch. Big bright rustic kind of place. We were seated and given small lunch menus, and having looked at their website beforehand we kind of had an idea what we wanted and the...lunch specials weren't it. But our server said sure the entire menu was available. We started off with the calamari which was great, in strips like we happen to like it, cooked nicely. Then we ordered two rolls, an octopus and a spider, soft shell crab. At the prices we thought the portion was a bit chintzy. The spider was great, the octopus okay, didn't get any wasabi, but we opted to not ask for it as both rolls were pretty sauced up. It was pretty good, took a long time to get our food, and it was very pricy. I think we'll go back to the other place in town.More

Best sushi in Bozeman hands down. The servers are friendly and professional. The sushi is always fresh and delicious, the environment is very nice and relaxing. The hustle and bustle and tight space and noise at Dave’s is a bit much for me. Go to...SEVEN you won’t regret it!More

This was our first time enjoying a meal here and we were very pleased with everything served. Their lunch menu offers a nice variety of options for a great price and quite a bit of food in the serving size. We’ll definitely be returning customers...when in the area. I would recommend this restaurant.More

Came in for lunch, and I don't mean to overly criticize, but this place has gone way far downhill since it opened in this new location in the Cannery area. First, the floors were filthy. And I mean filthy, not just dirt, but general filth....The restroom door was so sticky with some kind of gunk I don't even want to know what it was. I asked for a pot of tea, and when it was brought out it wasn't even lukewarm. The only explanation? "The water isn't hot yet".....seriously? I asked for quail eggs. Yes, they had quail eggs, but was told they only serve them one way, because, (in the words of the server) "the kitchen staff is temperamental ". As a paying customer, ah......what? So I guess my order as a customer is superseded by the temper of the kitchen staff? The sushi was not fresh tasting, it was not cool, it was like the fish had been left out at room temperature for some time. I have always been a huge fan of Seven, both when they were in the old location, and here in the new location as well. But completely uncaring, lackadaisical service, bringing out beverages that aren't fit to serve, and then acting like they're doing me a favor for not charging me for the tea, though not offering any alternatives, is NOT acceptable. Nor is actually saying that the temperament of the kitchen staff is more important than a paying customer. The general filth on the floor and the bathroom is a matter of basic sanitation, god only knows what the kitchen looks like. So until they step up and become a serious restaurant again, no thanks. Worst meal I have had in literally YEARS.More

Thanks for coming in! We did our best to accommodate you when you brought up these issues while in the restaurant, but it seems you're inconsolable. Might we suggest our good friends over at Dave's Sushi?

Not in downtown area so easy to find parking. Spacious. Sashimi was ok, not that great. The wagu short rib came out cold and rice was hard. The hamachi Kama came out tasted good and big size, enough for 2 people, served with very hard...rice. Price was reasonable for the entrees, expensive for what they had to offer for sashimi. We sat at the bar. Service was so so. Looked like the bartender was not like to serve food. Never offered us water. Never asked if our food was good or if we needed anything else. If I come back to dine in again, I will ask for a regular table instead of the bar.More

The food is good, not anything outstanding but standard fare. I enjoyed the “playboy roll” and the “Samurai’s mistress” roll. The fact that not a single employee was smiling was a downer, also our server was clueless. She used statements that created problems when I...asked to have avocado on one half of the roll she simply stated, “We don’t do that.” Something you NEVER tell a customer. Present solutions not opposition. With better service this review would be four stars, but unfriendly and unprofessional staff takes it way down. Plus the fact that the sushi is good and not excellent makes it worse. I suggest the more lid back atmosphere of Dave’s Sushi, where the sushi is excellent and the staff is very friendly and helpful.More

Hostess worked hard to get us an outside table. Our server was great giving recommendations. There is a nice outdoor eating area. There are some novel dishes, and Seven is better than other sushi places in Bozeman, but I just couldn't give them five stars....The Hamachi Ribs are a unique, tasty app. You won't get full on them, but they are worth trying. The Hamachi Popper was recommended, but I won't order them again. Deep fried sushi shouldn't be a thing. They are big into cream cheese and fried foods in their rolls. Not a bad thing, but not my idea of great rolls. The Mistress was decent. Beer prices are okay. I like trying omakaze especially in new places to see what the chef and restaurant can do. I never found a sushi restaurant in Bozeman that has omakaze. In my experience, this is one of the better Bozeman sushi restaurants.More
