Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was walking downtown Bozeman, and decided to stop in for my first visit to the Novo Café. The ambience was like a nice old timey diner, and it was very clean. The hostess and waitress were both very friendly and helpful. I had the...eggs Benedict, which was cooked perfectly. The hot latte was excellent too. I would recommend this restaurant.More

Had the Biscuits & Gravy. The home fries were burned a dark brown and served cold. This meal did not come with gravy in the normal sense which is generally created from a flour roux. The biscuits had a modest covering of what appeared to...be a watery "sausage hash". Altogether a most unappealing meal. The cook must have been in a hurry to go home.More

The Nova Cafe is a cozy breakfast spot with a non-chain atmosphere on Bozeman’s wonderful Main Street. The cafe has retro decor with colorful outdoor Montana themed artwork. The sole staff member outside of the kitchen was fast and friendly. The cafe offers numerous gluten...free and vegetarian options. In our travels throughout the US, one of us regularly orders coffee, scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, potatoes and gluten free toast when available. On a solo visit to the Nova Cafe, one of us ordered this plate, the breakfast meal was decent but not exceptional (see photo). The scrambled eggs were fluffy but a little cool. The home fries were odd but nice and crispy. A thick slice of gluten free toast with jam was appreciated. The coffee was good but I was never offered a refill. The bill was under $15. On balance, this cafe is a nice local non-chain establishment with decent food.More

The breakfast portions are huge! The food was very good. Our waiter was friendly and a lot of fun. We sat in a big comfortable booth. The decor is eclectic with beautiful colorful artwork displayed on the walls. We thought we saw Eric Clapton, but...it wasn't him!More

The friendliness of the staff and atmosphere of the cafe drew us in. Also we love breakfasts and they were still serving at 1:30. We had a chorizo omelette and huevos rancheros with delicious tomato jam and were very satisfied- quick and delicious and any...style of coffee to boot.More

Very busy and crowded. A long wait to be seated was followed by an even longer wait for our breakfast. Granted, it was a Saturday and a parade was finishing up, but it was too much. The manager said there was a “problem” with our...order (usually means the Oder was never placed, oops!!), so she comped our $8 coffee charge. I guess that was something, but food was nothing special and overpriced and I wouldn’t go back. So tired of poor service…it’s everywhere.More

Very Average Food. I sat down with some buddies of mine and sent in our order. Our food came after 40 minutes of waiting but for a busier restaurant it was an ok arrival time. The food was very mid. I don’t know if it’s...just the wests syrup or if this cafe just buts watery syrup, but this syrup didn’t taste the best and was very very water, and moved as almost if it was water. I got a ok sized waffle (nothing compared to Fort Wayne Indianas Kosmos) The Bacon I ordered with my food was on the burnt end of things and my eggs that I asked for scrambled, I received more over easy. Very average food, not terrible but not fantastic. It’s an okay restaurant.More

We were traveling in a four-family group. We made a reservation for 13 people, which they graciously accommodated. Fantastic service. Excellent breakfast menu. Everyone was pleased with their choices. Fun atmosphere with original, western art work on the walls. Would definitely eat breakfast there again.

A mixologist we met in Cody, WY, told us to check out Nova when we got to Bozeman. It's bigger than it looks from the outside. Inside it's also colorful and showcases very colorful work of a local artist. We were hoping for lunch but...were advised when we came in and before sitting down that lunch items weren't available, nor were pancakes and waffles. We were hungry and figured we'd find something on the menu anyway, though if you aren't fond of eggs, the selection would have been limited. Hubs ordered a meat lovers omelet that he ate every bite of. I had scrambled egg sandwich which I enjoyed. Samatha our server was friendly and was prompt with beverage service and checking on our meals. While the menu was overly limited the day we in town, everything was flavorful. It is easy to under how they have gotten awards for so many years.More

This is just a neat little restaurant in Downtown Bozeman. We went for breakfast and my omelet was huge! The amount of food that you receive is significant. So go with an appetite. The quality was good. Service was very good. The staff was very...pleasant and seemed to enjoy working here. And best of all, it is not expensive. We had vegans in our group and they were very easily able to find items to eat. I will go back to this little GemMore

There is no alcohol served at Nova Cafe. With the strict and expensive beer and wine licensing in town, it is a no go. You may try one of the bars or evening places that offers brunch such as Copper, Starkys or Red Chair.
