My wife and I stayed at the Drury and Carmine's was an easy choiced based upon both reputation and location. If price is a big concern, another choice might be more appropriate- if not, we'd certainly recommend
Pleasant ambiance, and both the food and service (Kevin was our waiter) were excellent. Steaks were both prepared wonderfully, and the side dishes as well. Both the baked and twice baked potatos were delicious- the baked was largest potato without a doubt that I've ever seen on a plate, for what that is worth- not that it was necessary.....
We appreciated the complimentary birthday dessert, and then the easy walk back to our room

My wife & I didn’t care for how every single steak listed on the menu said “market price.” You have to go into the restaurant and ask the server how much the steaks are only to find out a tiny 8 oz steak is $50 and the rest get more pricey. The porterhouse is $65.00. Way overpriced; I ended up ordering the scallops with spinach which were not very flavorful. Glad I didn’t spend more and gamble on the steak.

Started off our Anniversary night annoyed because we couldn’t find a place to park and it was our first time in St. Louis. We called and were told to park right in front and were greeted by a lovely (possibly manager) woman that assured us that our car would be fine. My wife and i walked in to a cozy booth nestled in the corner and the ambiance was perfect.
Staff was very attentive, i wanna say our waiter was named Byron I’m probably wrong, but he was great. We had the Lobster Bites as an appetizer and for entree’s, NY Strip (16oz), Filet Carmine, Broccoli x2, Stuffed Shrimp Scampi and a twice Baked Potato. We had so much food but ate it all! Every bite was amazing lol Best Steak I’ve EVER eaten, it was like eating butter, it just melted in your mouth! For dessert, our waiter brought out a complimentary slice of cake in celebration of our Anniversary, it was delicious. Thanks for having us, we’ll be back for sure!

This is the worst restaurant I've been to in this price range. Their Toasted Raviolis had cold and tasteless filling; Their Caesar Salad was drenched in cheap dressing that contained sugar and no anchovies; their Sangria had almost no alcohol, their side carrots was drowning in sweet syrup and was absolutely disgusting. My husband's Scallops were good, but we paid over $100 for this terrible experience. We didn't even get any complimentary bread, which is usually served in good restaurants. Stay away.

While staying at The Drury Inn Arch we stopped in at Carmines for a dessert to take back to our room. Staff was very helpful at explaining the dessert tray and I selected their cheesecake. I was disappointed in the texture of the cheesecake since it was either overcooked or past it’s expiration. It was almost the consistency of custard it was just weird and not appetizing. Two bites and it hit the trash can. After a long tiring day just wanted something sinfully delicious and Carmines completely missed the mark.

We visited your restaurant last evening as our reservation was at 4:00 pm. The purpose was to celebrate my sister in law's wedding. To my surprise, the food was very displeasing. After reading your 5 star reviews, we were taken aback with our experience. My sister's steak was overcooked, literally charred. My fiance's steak was tender but not seasoned. My brother in law's chicken quarter was small without flavor of any kind. There was paprika everywhere; an overload of paprika literally on all plates. My salmon was dry and unseasoned. The entire meal was not worth $332.00.
We mentioned it to the waitress. A lady with long blonde hair came over to our table. We mentioned it to her; however she gave us the dirtiest look ever so we decided to write to management. Our entire experience left a bad taste. We were the only ones dining at that point so we were very concerned about the fidelity that was placed into creating our meals that totaled $332.00 plus the tip.
$332.00 for a meal that we did not enjoy and management did not even attempt to assist us in our concerns about the tasteless meal. A piece of cheesecake was offered to my sister in law before we left. This was the biggest insult.

Once again we had an awesome Valentine's Day dinner here at Carmine's. We had reservations and were quickly seated. Shortly after our server, Drew, introduced himself and took our drink orders.
I had the pepperloin steak and Mrs. M had the Filet Gorgonzola. Both were perfectly cooked to order and absolutely delicious. We've been coming here for years and we always have perfectly cooked steaks.
The food was superb. Service from Drew was excellent. We were not rushed, even on this busy night, and it was another wonderful experience from Carmine's. We will be back!!!

Your restaurant was recommended to my family by an acquaintance. My experience was very disappointing on 9/5/2020. We were served outdated foods that had an obvious foul aroma and cheaply made scalloped potatoes that were less than gourmet.
We paid our bill in full and left with no plans of returning. The filthy restaurant with its low rate diner quality food left us frustrated with our dining experience. Quality food & service still give restaurants their competitive edge, especially in today’s market. Hope you improve & pursue restaurant excellence.

This restaurant was pretty busy on a Friday night. They have a 11/2 lb. lobster which I ordered and the waiter insisted on taking back when I told him it was a bit overcooked. (I was going to eat it anyway because I know it’s a costly item for them)but they brought me a filet which was perfect. I very much appreciated that. The owner came over and comped our dessert. Hubby had the sea bass special which he loved.

This place was recommend to us by our hotel. The prices on the menu are all ambiguous, which I find annoying. Anyways, my husband and I both wanted a steak. We both got a filet. The temperature was perfect, however it was like the steak had absolutely no seasoning or flavor. It was hard to enjoy this steak as much where it has absolutely no flavor. My husband and I are not salt people and typically do not like salty foods, so someone who does use salt would probably really not like their style. We also got twice baked potatoes, and those had minimal flavor as well. Our drinks were also mediocre, the mint was not fresh so that didn’t help the drink. Overall, the place has a nice atmosphere, but we felt this was “just ok”. Also, our service was quite slow, and we were not offered bread or shown the dessert board like all the other tables around ours.

We were traveling with two young children. Our reservation was for 6:15 and when we entered on a Tuesday evening we were about the only folks there. It filled up throughout the evening. Wait staff was attentive and professional. We had Cameron. Food was better than expected. With particular eaters we got them the daily pasta (vegetarian) meal with lots of sides for them to try - Onion Rings, Mushroom Risotto, and Twice Baked Potatoes. For being picky kids they liked everything. Strip was cooked perfectly and my lady thoroughly enjoyed the Carmine Filet.

My parents took us to Carmine's after we got married. We showed up 30 min early not realizing they opened at 4pm. They let us sit in the bar and have a drink to wait on a table. We were very impressed with them accommodating us even when we were that early. The servers were so nice and the food was out of this world good. My VERY "food picky" mother has never complained once and they go all the time. They heard us mention we just got married and made a special dessert for us. Very fancy and kinda pricey but trust me its worth it.

We appreciate the amazing review and you taking the time to do so. Our service is certainly something we pride ourselves on and it sounds like we were spot on. We were also glad to hear that you and your VERY "Food Picky" mother thoroughly enjoyed your selves and the Wedding celebration. We definitely would love to see you next time you visit St. Louis. Thanks again!

Great food. Ordered the 20oz Bone-in ribeye medium rare. Steak was cooked beautifully with a perfect layer of charring. Steak was juicy and flavorful. The potatoes were irresistible and my date could not get enough of them. She ordered the chicken and was blown away by the succulent flavor and tenderness if.
Drinks were spot on and I highly recommend the Kentucky Mule.
Now as for dessert, on top of the phenomenal entrees, Carmines does dessert really well. I ordered the tiramisu and instantly became a fan. Seriously, this place exceeded all of our expectations and then some. From the friendly staff and timeliness of our seating to the server who had an appropriate level of humor and class to just the meal experience, this place will forever be a high recommendation in my book.

I have an issue with restaurants that serve wines that I can purchase in the supermarket and charge twice the price...sadly, Carmine's is selling Kim Crawford HALF bottle at twice the price...so, so wrong. The wines by the glass menu is paltry in the whites.
The above said, I did enjoy my food though lamb should not be swimming in sauce...drizzle yes, backstroking, no.
My colleagues enjoyed their meals tremendously so it maintains the three star rating but if I am spending this kind of money, I would like some more options.

Went to Carmine's and was absolutely blown away by the amazing food. There were two of us I had the 14oz strip steak it was perfect prepared., medium rare as I requested. My cousin had the filet gorgonzola done to his liking and it smelled and looked amazing. We also had the steak risotta with raspberry glaze appetizers that could have been a meal in itself, it was beyond delicious. If your in downtown St. Louis near the Arch stop in and enjoy. The place is not inexpensive but appropriate for a good steak house.
