Since 1924? One bite and you'll know why. Now I have to say I don't even like barbecue, so I'm the reason they have other stuff on the menu. My dining companion had the rib plate served with potato salad, beans, and bread. It was...More

Abe's has been around for years & years so it was on the must do list. Had the BBQ beef sandwich. Lots of meat for sure. A very laid back place. Truly the old south. Would definitely go back again!

Abe's is a local institution with lots of history, and being located at the 61-49 crossroads only adds to its lore. But we found the barbecue itself to be just OK -- certainly passable but far from the best. A fun place to visit but...More

great food, cheap food and historic place. We were quickly in and out again. But when trying to find the devils crossroad, this is just by it.

The tamales weren't all that exciting but my BBQ beef sandwich was very good. Service was weird. Brought one dinner and then 10 minutes later the other. Did not refill drinks when the 2nd meal was brought either. Did not get to try any sides...More

Back in 2006, I gave Abe's 4 stars because it deserved it for their amazing tamales. What happened, Abe's?! These tamales were mushy, mushy. The pork sandwiches had no smoke on them. Plus the place smelled, looked and was dirty. I understand ambience, but this...More
