We've been here a few times lately (hadn't been there in a long time as we live a ways away now) and the food has been quite good. No issues. Mai fun has good flavor. Our family seems to like it.

I ordered the vegetable curry fried rice. First off, it was supposed to be spicy. But could not be more bland if they tried. Even the vegetables lacked flavor. The dish was so dry, it was almost hard to eat. Good thing I had a...glass of water handy. And worst of all! The menu says NOTHING about mushrooms being in this dish, so I unknowingly dug in and ingested one. I’m allergic! Thankfully, I work at a health facility and the nurses were able to prevent asphyxiation. Never buying from here again, they almost killed me!More
Emergency use only. Eggrolls, wontons, appetizers only. Those are obviously made in a factory somewhere. The rest is made in-house and is utterly dreadful. No flavor, all sauces brown and dull and loaded with massive amounts of cornstarch. Not one authentic dish on the menu...at all, maybe they have a robot doing the wok-work? Horrible quality. Also, they haven't redecorated in about 40 years. Went there about 1981 and they have the same chairs, tables, wallpaper, hanging crap and, judging by the stickiness-factor, the same menu covers. It's just gross, you'll be sorry. Don't go. Do not go.More
Visited based on my girlfriend's recommendation and I was not disappointed. We visited during lunch and spent $20 and we basically got 4 meals worth. The food was fresh, hot and very tasty. Really good crab cheese that was not greasy. For a small strip...mall Chinese restaurant I was really surprised how delicious it was. I'll definitely be back to try more!More
China Chef has excellent price's and you get a lot of food @ lunch time menu soup, egg roll and dish. Out the door for $6.50 + tip. Hard to find a place that is good and not expensive, everyone there is very nice.
I love this place, sweet and sour soup here is so good! I've tried a few different things and all have been really good, service is amazing! Cheap lunch specials!
The crab and cheese (Crab Rangoon) is very good as long as you get it fresh, not so good on take out. The Egg drop soup or the chicken sizzling rice soup are both good. I highly recommend the Mongolian Beef, the Bali Bali Beef,...and the egg rolls. If you are not used to the use of white pepper be wary of the light colored broth items like moo goo gai pan... as it gives them an odd odor and flavor.More
Ordered up the General's chicken with all white meat and the breading was heavier then expected and overcooked in the deep fryer.. Hot & Sour soup was good and there was a $2.00 split charge I was unaware of until I received the bill !!...Previous owners had much better food and wait staff.. We will not return again nor any of the other two couples that went with us ..More
We got take out here while visiting family. We really enjoyed the food but it was expensive for what we received.
The food here is decent, I've had better Chinese but we have returned a few different times. It is very overpriced in my opinion! It cost an arm and a leg to just have a side of veggies (sauce tastes overwhelmingly like mushroom however). We...do really like the General Tso Chicken. Orange Chicken is OK. Would probably come back more often if they could lower their prices a touch. We have only ever done take-out.More
Food was delicious. Service was top notch. Will dine there again. I had the sweet and sour chicken w fried rice won ton soup and egg roll.
I've been here a couple times and was just trying something new because my company was paying for it. I tried the Chicken chow mein combination platter. It was a lot of watery vegetables with chicken. What makes it a combination platter is that its...served with an egg roll and rice. The egg roll was average but good with the sauce. It cost about $8 after tax. Not a bad deal. Theyve been there a long timeMore
This was the first Chinese place in Standale for miles and miles. It has been in Standale with the same owners for 20 years I would guess. The food is always good and never a long wait if any. Try the Shark Fin Soup -...It is a soup for 2 people. It isn't too adventurous - just different than normal Chinese. Everything is good here - especially the crab-cheese!More
