Fine Dining Wanna Be

Two couples for lunch. Socially distanced outdoors under the tent. Like all other Burtons (and we've been to them all) food is acceptable but waaaaay overpriced. Some think it is worthwhile as inside it's nicely appointed and some are willing to pay for that. But for crying out loud we were outside under a circus tent. Server was excellent 5/5 but food, while good, was nothing special 3/5. $100 for lunch for a party of four (no alcohol ordered) is pretty stiff. Pay a third or more less and hit T-Bones or the 99s.

Stopped for late dinner

We were there just before Christmas. The restaurant was busy, and the best way to get a seat was at the bar. Staff was friendly enough; however, despite having only a few patrons at the bar, the service was not very attentive. Nevertheless, the food was decent - we opted for pub grub - how could they go wrong.

Nice atmosphere, varied menu, well prepared.

Nice atmosphere, attentive service. Food was high-quality and well prepared. I was in a party of 8 and while the food took a bit of time to arrive, everyone enjoyed the meal and we probably had 5 different dishes between the 8 of us. Price is not cheap, but for the occasional splurge it was a good way to spend time with friends. I have only been to Burtons maybe 3 times over the past 10 years but each time it did not disappoint.

Has gone downhill!

We have been to the Westford location about once a month lately. We dined here the other night and were seated at a booth where the table is slanted down. The waitress warned us to be careful "because your drinks will slide off the table". We noticed this table defect a month ago yet it still exists. Ordered two glasses of wine which took fifteen minutes to arrive. Asked the price of the crab cakes and she wasn't sure. Never got back to us with the price. Asked an assistant manager walking by and he wasn't sure either but thought they were $33. How is it you have Mkt $ on the menu but no employees know the price. There has been considerable price creep at this restaurant as the crab cakes were $27 not to long ago. An eight oz filet mignon is now $45. Asked to have my green beans cooked soft and they came out hard as a rock. This place is not what is used to be.

Disappointed. Perhaps it was an off night but: my chicken cordon blue was good but the potatoes were presented cold. My wife’s meal, a gluten free menu item was served cool, not hot as expected. Didn’t speak to the manager but they did take my wife’s off the Bill. Probably won’t go back.

Good food & service & great for picky/allergic diners

Burton's does a great job being careful about food sensitivities and food allergies, which abound in our family. Also the food is good and service is attentive and prompt and cheerful. So we have gathered there often, for years, for get togethers and celebrations and have never been disappointed. (Since the pandemic started it's been takeout unless the weather permits sitting outdoors which despite the fact it's a suburban mall is quite pleasant.)

Best risotto around!

Burton’s continues to be a local go-to for a hi quality meal with friends. My friend and I had a few glasses of wine and each got the chicken risotto.It’s consistently excellent with the most tender chicken you can imagine. Order full size and you have your next night’s dinner as well. Our sever, Alyssa, was attentive despite having a large party to attend to nearby. The manage came by to check in, which is always appreciated.

The chicken cordon blue wasn’t anything close to the original recipe. It was chicken with prosciutto and cheese on top. Too salty and too dry. I can make this at home far better than was offered and a lot less experience. Very disappointing. Won’t go back there again.

Nice lunch on the patio

My husband and I had a very nice lunch here on their outdoor patio. The table had an umbrella and was very comfortable. The server was pleasant and checked back to see how the food was. I had a salad with grilled chicken and my husband had the fish sandwich. Both were very good. The pace of the meal was just right. This was our first time out since the pandemic due to our health conditions. We were looking for someplace with decent outdoor seating and this was almost perfect. There was some road noise but that was to be expected. We will be back and would recommend this to friends.

Great Service, Delicious Entrees at Burtons in Westford

Hadn't been to a Burtons for a while, and never to this location, so we were pleased that the quality of the food was still very good. Our server was really great, efficient and attentive. We sat outside on a gorgeous, early fall day. The menu is awesome, especially for people who are GF (gluten-free). The only thing not GF are the Philly Spring Rolls. Prices are very reasonable. Will go back again soon.

Lovely food and service

Burton's Grill is my go-to place when I do not want to cook. The menu is imaginative and food well-prepared and nicely served. The wine list is good and the place is quiet enough to allow conversation

New Year’s Eve dinner

I just received my prime rib dinner for 4 to cook at home. I have a 4lb + prime rib with sides, desert and bread. Could not be happier! Kudos to the team at Burton’s of Westford, my favorite restaurant.

Looks great, bad experience

The good - atmosphere very nice and comfortable. Easy to get to right off 495. Very disappointed otherwise. Started with horrible service - slow and unfriendly older female waitress, almost rude I'd say. Drinks - slow. Food - even slower. My wife had a salad, which she said was good. I had the crab cakes. Big money. Came out only luke warm - both the cakes and the limp fries. Would have said something but I was afraid the waitress would have bit my head off. The food was good, but certainly would have been much better hot. Another issue - there was a mustard "sauce" to go with the crab cakes which was the consistency of water. Didn't know what to do with it, so I just poured it over the crab cakes. Couldn't scoop it out. Probably wasn't supposed to be that way. Won't return. Poor service. Expensive. Not much variety on menu.
