Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Decided to eat local within walking distance of our hotel. This restaurant came up. Started off with a couple drinks. Service was alittle slow because bar area was packed. Decided to eat at bar anyways. My wife had blackened shrimp tacos. She ordered extra shrimp at $7 extra. She got sautéed brussel sprouts as side dish. I had regular pizza with mushroom and sausage as extras. Side order of clam chowder which was delicious. Pizza was a bit tasteless and Sauvignon wine was a bit like the house wine at $7.50 a glass. But we enjoyed the atmosphere.

Just off the busy highway of interstate 95 you’ll find a clean, busy tavern serving determined locals and business travelers alike. As part of the Best Western Plus this rustic styled tavern provides great meals and local drinks. I’m determined to start with a crispy chicken sandwich wherever I visit for the first time. It’s hard to get chicken just right and if you can master that, everything else should be pretty decent. The one I had here was just right. Now that the baseline sandwich has been rated I look forward to exploring the rest of the menu.

We dined here again during our visit to Waltham because we knew we could rely on the restaurant to serve consistent food in a speedy manner. It helps that we stay at the adjoining hotel (one of the entrances to the restaurant is inside the Best Western) but ironically you cannot put the restaurant bill on your hotel bill. This is a bit inconvenient. No wait to be seated on a Friday night, and I ordered the Commonman burger (a bit confusing but this is a cheeseburger) which was very tasty. I liked the sweet potato fries for a bit of a change. My husband ordered the Apple Bacon Goat Salad which was a very hearty portion and my son really enjoyed his Gemelli Spinach Tomato Goat Cheese with chicken pasta dish. Prices are what you would expect for this area, about $15-$20 an entree. Drinks can be pricey ($1-$15 a glass of wine) so it can add up if you drink a lot. Ambiance is a pub, with an option to sit at the bar, near the bar is lifted tables or in a booth.

I hosted a birthday surprise party for my wife recently. The CHT team was outstanding! David the GM partnered with me on the planning, fitting my budget and was great at communicating each step along the way.
On the night of the party David himself met us upon arrival, walked us around back very casually and it was a great surprise for my wife. His staff was great with their service, handled the cake cutting and did a mass swarm of plate removals after each course. The space was perfect and was laid out to promote socialization and really allowed us all to enjoy our event. And the food was great!! I highly recommend Copper House Tavern for an event or even just a weekend meal

We drove 32 miles to try this place out and will NOT be coming back. Arrived at 2:15 pm for lunch on Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was busy, but not full, and there was no one waiting ahead of us. We asked for 2, and were told we would have to sit at the bar. What?? There were multiple empty tables, including high tops, in plain sight. The so-called “host” (a buffoon) then told us we could sit at a high top, but that we might not be served quickly because they only had 2 cooks and 1 waitstaff. Seriously?? We left and went to The Local, located up the street on 3rd Avenue. There we were greeted, seated, and served promptly. Our meals - Cheeseburger with fries & side salad and a large lunch Salad - were excellent. Take a lesson Copper House Tavern.

I had dinner here with a colleague and we were both very satisfied.
Excellent quality food, authentic and well prepared flavors, with attentive but never intrusive service.
The value for money is good for American cuisine.
We will be back soon to try other dishes. Recommended!

This spot is a great location for a casual night out. We enjoyed the comradery of staff and diners at the bar, our choice for eating dinner this evening. The bartender was very attentive-in selectin a beer on tap, he assisted with making a selection. The menu offers a wide variety of choices including vegan and gluten free, good selection of meats, fish, and grains, as well as salads and vegies. When we're in this area of Massachusetts, this restaurant is always our choice.

Can't speak to the ambiance or table service of Copper House Tavern but my delivered food was quite tasty, delivered on time with the utensils I requested. The lamb burger served on naan was an unusual menu item for a 'tavern' but it did not disappoint. Really liked the caramelized onions which added sweetness to the lamb.

Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was spectacular. Our party of 6 sat at a high-top table. It was comfortable, but I wish it had a side hook for purses. I ordered the Caesar salad with steak. The steak was phenomenal! And the salad was excellent. It had thick strips of parmesan cheese and the lettuce was very fresh. I asked for extra dressing and was NOT charged for the extra which was a wonderful surprise. The restaurant is attached to a Best Western hotel.

I ordered the fish and chips, however... to my dismay the fish was primarily just breading, very little fish. You might as well call it breading and chips.... I would avoid this place at all costs, there are several good dining options in the area.

Nothing special, besides the beer list. Food was mediocre. Our server seemed way more interested in taking smoke breaks than taking our order or refilling our drinks. Probably wouldn’t return.

We just had a long day packing up my son for a move to a new apartment. We were staying at the nearby Marriott Courtyard (4.5 stars btw) and were tired. We didn’t want to travel too far and this restaurant was just across the street…a 3 minute walk. We were greeted by an enthusiastic hostess who prompted seated us in a booth. There is a lot of seating options; booths, high tops, large bar to eat at or drink and an outdoor patio. Our waiter was cordial and attentive. My son and I had the bacon bourbon hamburger while my wife had a steak salad. All excellent…cooked exactly to our order. If you are at one of the many hotels in this area, I highly recommend this Copper House Tavern.

Nicely appointed bar and dining area, the selections vary from appetizers, salads, sandwiches and burgers, to full entrees with beef, chicken, and fish. You can be in the more noisy and busy bar area or at the bar, or in a more quiet area. This is our second time enjoying the restaurant while staying at the hotel.

Third visit to this restaurant. Very pleased with the first two visits, so was expecting similar quality. Tried the Spinach and Salmon Salad. The vinaigrette was tasteless, made the whole dish boring. Added a bowl of chili, which was great the last time. It was totally different. Tasted like someone dumped a whole bowl of sugar in it, and it was dense like mud. The staff was nice but the experience was disappointing.

I was to meet a friend, I hadn’t seen in years. We chose this restaurant because it was half way between our cities.
I had a reservation for 7 pm. At 3 pm I received a text telling me my reservation had been changed to 5:30. I wasn’t aware of this being how restaurants work, right? Usually we tell them when we are coming.
I called and asked if we could come at 6. The answer was no. They had decided to close early. That was the complete explanation.
Don’t make a reservation and expect to have a table.
