We had great drinks - raspberry lemonade, maybe? - before dinner. I had a healthy bowl, and there were plenty of options for our various diets. We went without a reservation on a Sunday night and were seated and served right away. The view was...great. Our table was perfect. Of all the harborside restaurants we have tried in Newburyport, this was our best experience so far.More

Visited the restaurant today with friends (4 of us) for lunch and a view. Neither disappointed. The view is awesome as we sat on the deck overlooking the water and boats. The meal was very good. Crab cakes, lobster roll, scallops and bean burger all...very good. Meal was timely and cooked to perfection. Will definitely visit again when in town.More

We wanted a water view for dinner and ended up at Michael's. We put our name on the list and it was an hour wait. We chose to wait outside at the bar which allowed us to grab a table and get in early. We...ordered the flatbread as an appetizer which was excellent. The main course consisted of steak tips and the baked haddock. Steak tips were marinated and were very lean. Good taste. The baked haddock was good to start, but was way too salty almost as if they had overly seasoned it by mistake. It was also a bit fishy smelling so it was probably not overly fresh. There is really no excuse for that given their location. The service was EXCELLENT especially given the conditions on a holiday weekend. Pricing was good for the portions size. We would probably go back, but would not order the haddock. Note, we did have left-overs and the steak tips and flatbread were great the day-after.More

Many of the meals were enjoyed by the 7 of us but the Halibut was very dry. Very disappointed as I love Halibut. I let the server know at the end of the meal but didn't ask for it to be comped. I feel the...server should have let the manager know and they should of offered a complimentary dessert or taken the meals off the bill. Two if us ordered the Halibut. It's always been a favorite of mine in Newburyport so it was very disappointing.More

We arrived for lunch on a very hot (90 degree) day with a reservation to sit outside on the upper deck. The larger table for 5 was partially in the sun and after some discussion the manager agreed to seat us on the covered lower...deck. My husband and I had the fried whole belly clams - they were perfect! Large, properly fried (obviously someone in the kitchen had used fresh oil for the frying). He also had the clam chowder, which he said was very good. Our friends had chowder and the crab cake sandwich, which they also said was very good. Service was good also. We had not seen these friends in a few years and our waitress did not rush us, which we greatly appreciated. All in all, a delicious meal in a gorgeous setting. We will return when we are once again in the area.More

Went for lunch of a Sunday afternoon. Had a great Bloody Mary while awaiting our table outside on the top deck. Lobstah Roll with chips was superb, friendly and efficient service while overlooking boating traffic on the Merrimack River. A lovely respite on a beautiful...sunny day in Newburyport, MaMore

The atmosphere is outstanding we ate outside on the top deck and although it got a little warm the view was great. The food, especially clam chowder was top shelf. Wife had the crab cake which was also very good. Would definitely return.

Took my mother-in-law out for lunch. She wanted a restaurant on the water with views if the harbor. This restaurant had nice views. Check! The menu offered many choices. I opted for the fried clams, my wife and mother-in-law got the buttered lobster roll and...my daughter got the lobster roll with mayonnaise. All diners chose onion rings for their side. The clams were small, but tasty. My onion rings were good. The lobster rolls were “horrible”, according to the ladies. The buttered one had no discernible lobster pieces. The lobster meat was ground and smothered in butter. And there were pieces of lobster shells and cartilage in the meat. The other roll was “OK”. All of the entrees were around $28. The service was OK, just OK and could have been a little more attentive. The ladies fid mention that the ladies’ room was dirty. On the MacLeod Scale, we all rated the experience a 6.5.More

Michaels was very crowded on a rainy Friday but the host staff accommodated our table needs. Our waiter was courteous and funny and checked in with us regularly, despite having tables at all corners of the room. We had twin lobsters, $44, which we found...very reasonable considering the post-pandemic pricing we've been seeing. We have a very enjoyable time!More

Yes, they have a parking lot but it's not huge. We went on a week day so there was a number of slots available. On weekends, they have a parking attendant who directs the traffic. There is a public parking lot only 100 yards... More
