The Great Road Kitchen sits back from route 119 in Littleton at a complex called 'The Point' that includes a movie theater, a Market Basket, a Starbucks, a Great Clips, and you get the picture. It's much larger than I expected and on walking in the first thought I had was that it was loud. It's one of those places where everyone seems to be shouting to be heard. And it was pretty busy for a Tuesday night. We ordered one of the specials of the night, a seafood paella, and roast chicken, and a reasonably priced wine that was a surprise to see, a Copain pinot from the Russian River Valley. The wine was excellent. The seafood paella was also excellent at the seafood level, but I think quinoa is not the right base for it. My dinner mates raved about the chicken. Prices were reasonable and service was attentive. I definitely would return.

There were seven of us for an early (5 pm) Saturday reservation, and the place was already quite busy. Even with the tables reasonably spaced, i the noise level made it difficult to talk across the table. The dinner entree menu is varied from burgers to fish tacos to bolognese to salmon to steak. Our meals were nicely prepared and good. Although not large, the wine list has a nice variety. The service was fine, not exceptional. This is a good place for family and friends, definitely better than the chain restaurants but not fine dining.

Decided to try out the Great Road Kitchen while in Littleton. Nice little spot among other restaurants etc. We had a cup of Clam Chowder which was just Ok and a Caesar salad which could have provided substance. Little noisy for me, but otherwise it was just OK as the waitress seemed uninterested in her job.

8/2/21 - Will NEVER eat here again! My kids and I took my Husband out to dinner for his Birthday and the food was just mediocre, however what happened next sealed the deal for me to NEVER eat here again! We ordered the Chocolate Mousse dessert, my youngest son and Husband were sharing it, when my son kept saying there is something "crunchy" in the mousse and thought it was hardened caramel, until he pulled a massive piece of something out of his bite that looked like plastic. Our waitress called the manager to our table who whisked the napkin with said object into the kitchen. She comes back to tell us the chef thinks it's the piping bag they use for the mousse. Blew it off like no big deal! Oh Ok cool you just fed my family plastic like no big deal! ANGRY is an understatement! She comped the dessert, you mean your not going to charge me for the dessert with a Non edible foreign object! She didn't even have the decency to come back to our table, she sends someone else over with the check to tell us she comped the dessert and took off the oysters which was only $10.50. Gave me her card on the way out the door and told me to call if anything comes up with my family being sick! Actions speak louder than words, she never even asked for my contact information. I will be reaching out to the Owner of this restaurant!

We enjoyed our food but were horrified that our first waitress coughed and sneezed all over us several times. She was congested and was obviously quite sick, this was not a cold or allergies. We complained to the manager and got a new waitress, cutlery, & cups. As much as we enjoyed our dinner, we will not be back to this place. We won’t go out to any more restaurants at all until after the Covid-19 situation passes.

My wife and I had dinner at Great Road Kitchen twice during a recent visit to the area. We ate there once for lunch last year and liked it (see my review), so we decided to try it for dinner this time, and it was excellent. We were staying at the nearby Marriott Courtyard again, which is within walking distance. They have both outdoor and indoor (socially distanced) seating, and we sat inside because it was a bit cool outside. The lower light level at dinnertime gives the restaurant a different vibe compared with our lunch there last year. I made reservations for both visits, the first one via e-mail and the second using Resy once I knew that was an option (there's no online reservation link on their web site). At our first dinner, on a Friday, we split the JP Greens salad to start, then my wife had the Wasabi Pea Seared Rare Tuna and I had the Cider Glazed Salmon, all of which were excellent. We don't often order dessert, but we indulged and shared the Bread Pudding, and that was great too. Our server Victoria provided excellent service. At our second dinner, on a Wednesday, my wife had the JP Greens salad for dinner, and I had the Crispy Baja Fish Tacos, both excellent. No dessert this time. I also tried the Proper Old Fashioned, but it was a bit too sweet for my taste. Janelle provided great service for this visit. For both meals, the restaurant was busy, but the noise level was a bit higher the second time (but not unpleasantly so). It's a big space with a lot of hard surfaces, so it's always going to be a bit noisy. I rated the Great Road Kitchen a 5 this time, and we'll definitely be back the next time we visit the area.

In short, food was overcooked, when asked if I wonted to have the do over dinner to eat there or take home, the manager dropped the ball and didn't put the redo order in to the kitchen so 1 hour later, I still had no dinner. The manager used the excuse that there was a miscommunication issue, which was just her way of dismissing her fail, then when I asked to talk to the chef after he refused to give us a desert to take home for their mistake, he hand gestured me to calm down and to come up to him in the kitchen which how dare a restaurant owner/chef treat a customer as an employee and instead of coming to the customer, he hand gestures the customer to come to him at the kitchen to talk.. I NEVER had an experience like that EVER and I will NEVER be going back to this restaurant. I would recommend going to another place to eat where the customer is serviced food cooked as requested and where the staff treats the customer's with respect!!

I was staying at a hotel nearby and ordered two appetizers for takeout. One was a portion of seared tuna with spiced peanuts and a light but creamy sauce. The tuna was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the other ingredients complemented it well. The roast beef sliders were the best I've ever had. The meat was nicely seasoned, the buns were clearly home-made and very flavorful, and there was a light but tasty dressing, along with a container of "au jus". The portions were quite generous. I enjoyed the meal so much, I plan to return with my wife sometime, even though I live 30 minutes away. The hostess who took my order was friendly and relaxed, even though the restaurant was quite busy - she seemed like a real asset to the business. Her gracious service was a sharp contrast to the harsh treatment I had encountered the night before at a restaurant in the same development, so I was especially grateful for the "good vibes" she conveyed.

Taryn and Robyn were patient and sparkling, creating a highly entertaining experience to compliment the meal. The calamari frites were memorable! Outdoor seating was lovely for the soft summer evening. Looking forward to going again!

What a disappointment; an expensive disappointment including thoughtless service, ridiculous wine servings and cartoonish deserts. Lowlights: - Reserved a table 30 days before the visit but were shown a postage stamp sized table in the least pleasant location in the house. Other diners declined it after we did. Other tables remained empty. Why? - A 6 ounce pour of wine was $26. The bottle was likely available at Colonial Spirits for $24. Why? - The chocolate mousse was exactly this: 8 ounces of fudge icing from a can topped with 6 inches of whipped cream in a weird carafe shaped jar. Last I checked mousse is supposed to be airy. This was sludge. How can you ruin mousse? They would describe this place as an elevated dining experience. The price is elevated but the food and service is strictly Applebees+Olive Garden. Total bummer.

GRK is a favorite place of ours and tonight proved again why. We sat outside on a lovely evening and our incredible server was Kieran. We ordered the PEI Oysters, scallop appetizer special and the caprese flatbread and it was all so delicious.

Food was mostly good, honestly it wasn’t great, it was inconsistent. It’s expensive, and if you pay a premium, it should be outstanding. We’ve come a couple times in recent months, and it’s been inconsistent. Very disappointing. In general, the food was slow, and meh, only ok. I understand post-COVID, it’s incredibly hard to find good help. They may be understaffed, and hope they can fix their misses in the coming months. Although this was disappointing, hopefully if we give it a try in the future, they’ll be able to redeem this visit.

Manager was very rude when we had a concern with delayed service. Our order was not timely. We advised server that we can’t wait. Manager refused to address this and raised her voice. She basically ruined our evening out.
