This is, hands-down, the best restaurant that's ever been at this location. They do everything right. The food is excellent, the portions are more than satisfying, and the wait staff is professional and friendly. They recently added a Tomahawk Rib Eye Steak (for two) to the special menu that was spectacular. It easily surpassed the Tomahawk Steak at the 111 Chop House in Worcester and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Aruba, was bigger and was less costly as well. They've been renovating the building and parking lots, adding function rooms and amenities to make dining out a more pleasurable experience. We go there often and are always greeted warmly by the owner, Mike. He loves what he does and it shows. He has prepared our meals on many occasions, just because he wants it to be just right.

If anyone is heading up the Mohawk Trail to peep the foliage be sure to stop in and see Mike at Il Forno Restaurant & Catering Services in Lunenburg, MA. It was honestly the best Italian meal I have ever had with even better service. I felt like I was eating back in Italy again. The calamari was to die for and the prices and portions were out of this world. Our main dish was the Seafood Alforno. My boyfriend requested his was made with the spicy garlic red sauce and mine was made with garlic and oil. Both PERFECTION! Mike, the owner was beyond friendly and accommodating . The BEST service we have had in a long time. Although we were up that way to purchase a vehicle we will definitely be going back ASAP. They also have another location in Littleton if that is closer for some!

My wife & I hosted our family & friends @ II Forno in their private function room on Saturday, June 25th. Cindy, helped coordinate the day assisting us with the menu, room set up, table settings and arranging wait staff for our important day. The day could not have been more perfect. It exceeded both my wife & my expectations. We had two wait staff on hand throughout the 4 hour event. Sarinya & Anam were wonderful!! They were courteous, charming, friendly, while serving food from the buffet, and delivering drinks to our 48 guests. My wife & I received numerous complements on their service and promptness of providing drinks to our guests. They helped make our day very special. The quality of our food was outstanding. Everyone raved about it. Of course my wife & I were more than pleased to hear how happy everyone was with the food & service. We selected as appetizers a fruit & cheese tray. The buffet consisted of Caesar Salad, Chicken Parmigiana, Eggplant Rollatini, Sausage & Peppers, with baked ziti and a Vegetable Medley. The portions were ample. There was more than enough food. We actually had food to take home and enjoy for leftovers the next day or two. We cannot praise & thank Cindy, Sarinya & Anam enough. We are so delighted with everything they did to help make our renewal of vows, 51st anniversary dinner, a day we will remember the rest of our lives. Jayne & Paul

...And at that price point! The salad tasted like something that came out of a bag- the kind with a chemical taste. The eggplant was OK but the two other dishes were huge and looked like pasta sitting in a cheesy soup. What a total waste of money. Please tell me people out here know what quality food tastes like because this place doesn’t have it.

We are trying to support local businesses during the pandemic by ordering takeout. I had dinner a few months ago at iL Forno and it was fabulous. However, the takeout last week wasn't up to it. The ribs were swimming in sauce that made them very greasy and the promised fires were not in the bag when i arrived back home after a 20 minute drive. Once again, FAIL!

We went there for dinner tonight, the food was awesome. In fact , we are staying at a hotel across the street and we’re already planing on coming Back Sunday for dinner. All the staff, including our server were very nice. They brought us warm garlic bread when we sat down. We had drove in from Pittsburgh Pa so we were starving. After the salads came to the table, I asked the server for more bread and she nicely said there was another batch in the oven and there was a few tables already waiting. I bet, it is great, when ever. It wasn’t long before she brought out more. All the dinners came out and things where very good until I ask for a few more slices of bread, my father Inlaw was the only one still eating. Our server, very rudely explained that we already had 2 orders and there were other guests that needed some. I was little taken back, before I said, never mind, just bring us our check. My father in law, turned to her and said that was extremely tacky, all you had to say was there were many ahead of us. Our server said I’m tacky, and walked off with smart attitude. My father Inlaw said I can’t even get a 2nd glass of tea. She walked back over and said you have to ask to get seconds on drinks. My father Inlaw said you looked busy and figured after 3 times coming to the table and seeing an empty glass, you’d just bring it. On the way out, one of servers pulled aside and apologized. Needless to say we are not going back. If they weren’t so busy, I would of asked to see the Mang. Or owner - explains the situation. No I didn’t stiff her tip wise, she got 10% not the 30% I normally give.

We had great service ( thank you Izzy) and a wonderful meal at Il Forno tonight. Dishes we enjoyed in particular were: eggplant rollatini, French onion soup, several outstanding fresh seafood and pasta dishes, and the home made cheese ravioli. A delightful bottle of Prosecco complimented the meal. A truly spectacular chocolate and peanut butter pie topped off a wonderful meal (on their lovely patio) PS- two of our party are gluten free and they raved about the gf homemade pasta!

We haven’t visited this eatery from Pre-Pandemia. Our server was Izzy, exceptional service. Sadly to say the food quality has decreased since 3 years ago. I am a COVID-19 survivor. My wife took me out to celebrate my 60th birthday and the fact that I am starting to ambulate, getting out of the house. The appetizer was AWESOME!! Fried Calamari. The Garlic Bread was good but very soggy.Asked for two peppermint Schnapps shot to cheer. Unfortunately , they don’t stock it. Had a beer, that’s cool. From there on all went downhill. My wife ordered “Veal Marsala “, the Marsala sauce tasted like Gravy with Mushrooms. I ordered “Veal Francese” was way to lemony. The Ziti in Olive Oil and Garlic was very rubbery. Not a good selection for dessert. To finish our $122 meal asked for Sambuca with espresso shot. Espresso machine BROKEN!!! What Italian eatery doesn’t provide Espresso? We had the Sambuca all by itself. Don’t spend your hard earned money. Call for pizza establishment that probably offers these items or just a 3 topping pizza. @$40 tip included. Don’t say I didn’t warned you.

We were hopeful but unfortunately extremely disappointed. The waitstaff and hostess was the best part of the evening. We were seated quickly and that’s how the entire evening went.. very quick. Calamari app came out within 5 minutes of ordering. We ordered veal trio and chicken siciliano. Couldn’t find the veal and dishes were smothered in cheese. Definitely not worth the $85 with no drinks and dessert. Think twice before going.

We have not been at this restaurant since they moved out from Acton's location. Used to go there all the time. It is still a pretty good place with tasty food and generous portion size. One thing though: one of us had to wait for a main course for almost 50 min. It is not acceptable.

Thank you to our very attentive and efficient server last night for making our family dinner so special and delightful. Food was amazing and service was outstanding for a party of 10. Sorry I missed her name but please extend our thanks to her and your staff for continually exceeding expectations. Il Forno has been our favorite since we moved to this area. Kudos to chef Mike for all his efforts and commitment to maintaining such a wonderful family restaurant all these years.

Deliciously fresh and satisfying. Mouthfuls of overstuffed ravioli, and melt-in-your-mouth calamari. Waitress, perhaps one of the nicest around. We continually get this restaurant “door dashed” and it transfers beautifully.

I'd dined at Il Forno in Littleton previously with a friend and had a good experience so readily agreed to go again when my husband suggested going. The waiter brought a basket of hot garlic bread, took our order, and served salads with a bottle of house dressing. The salad was made with romaine lettuce, shredded carrots, a slice of cuke and a grape tomato. The garlic bread was devine and the waiter offered a second basket, which we turned down. In hindsight, we should have accepted, because the garlic bread was the high point of the meal. Husband was eager to try the Haddock Il Forno Francese, described on the menu as "hand-dipped in egg batter and sautéed in white wine, butter, and lemon". I ordered the Chicken with Mushrooms and Artichoke Hearts. His meal arrived: linguine topped with three pieces of dark brown protein that resembled beef more than haddock. We discussed whether it was pan-fried or deep-fried (perhaps for too long) and husband started on his meal. My order of chicken with mushrooms and artichoke hearts over linguine looked and tasted as expected, except that the chicken was a bit tough and also deep-fried (but not to a dark color). A few minutes later, my husband put his fork down and said "There's something wrong with this". I asked what was wrong and he said "I don't know. It's just not right. It's not even flaky". He'd eaten part of one piece and then part of a second piece, saying the second one was slimy. He turned his plate to show me and I probed with my fork, peeled off a tiny slice and tasted it. He was correct - there was something wrong with it, but I could not figure it out either. It did not smell bad, but the flesh was not firm and white. Instead, the color was dull and gray, the flesh had broken down and didn't separate into flakes, and it tasted bad. I put my fork down and said "You're right". He informed the waitress, who offered a replacement meal, which he turned down, and took his plate away. I continued with my meal and offered to share the half, but he declined. While debating whether to take the rest home, I bit into a piece of chicken bursting with the unmistakable flavor of spoiled meat. Decision made: we won't be going back. My conclusion is that Il Forno cut corners by keeping "proteins" longer than they should have. There's a fine line between food that's beyond it's peak and food that's crossed the line into spoilage, and the latter is the meal experience we both had tonight. Very disappointing.

Having had excellent lunches and dinners at il Forno, we booked their private room for a combined family reunion/birthday party. From the very beginning, the staff was most communicative, cooperative and happy to help us plan. When the big day arrived, we had picked a buffet menu, selected bottles of wine and got the room decorated (which had been pre-set by staff.) Our 38 guests were treated to such excellent service - especially by Sarinya and Debbie - that everyone was raving about the party the next day. 3 guests with gluten allergies were treated to freshly prepared Italian GF meals. The buffet was just so delicious! Hot, fresh, plentiful, plus garlic bread and salad, mini pastries and coffee - even though we had a cake! Littleton MA area folks, please plan your gatherings here. Parties, Showers, luncheons - the staff will do handsprings to help you. Many thanks to Cindy and Jeannie for all your help in making this such a memorable event. If you don't have an event, stop there for lunch or dinner. The menu is a delectable combination of traditional Italian favorites plus a great selection of American fare. RUN do not walk - to il Forno Littleton!

You could travel to Boston's North End....OR.....come to Il FORNO. Very good service, very good food and a fun atmosphere . The scallops carbonara wrapped in bacon was a perfect meal for a cold evening. Salad had homemade dressing. The bar is hopping and bartenders know how to make a variety of drinks - that are correct.
