Went with my family of 6 for dinner! The decor is beautiful and the service was excellent. We ordered about 15 small plates to share and everyone was good! The Parmesan truffle fries are a must. The short ribs and pork belly were cooked to perfection. Shrimp tempura, oysters...my oh my! So much fun trying different dishes and they were brought out in a nice paced manner. Needless to say we were full and happy to enjoy our family with this fine food. You must go...no disappointments here!

Wow, you really know how to order! Many of our most favorite and popular--thank you so much for embracing our "fun"--this is exactly what we want our guests to feel. And thank you for sharing us with others. Please visit again soon.

Ordered curbside pick up. Braised short rib dinner. Delicious. Full dinner with potatoes, vegetables, and salad. Menu labels it enough for 2-4. That was accurate. My wife and I ate heartily and had enough leftover for another dinner. I frequent many of Chelmsford's restaurants but this was my first visit to Moonstones. Surely won't be my last. I'll be turning to Moonstones for curbside pick up for the remainder of this coronavirus mayhem, and look forward to paying a visit post pandemic.

Staff were exceptional, very attentive and friendly. Food was amazing and flavorful. Prices were affordable and portions were generous. Only reason I didn’t give a 5 was because there was no running water to wash hands in men’s room, and decor needs a little updating. Fabric on chairs cracked, carpets worn. But what was most important, service and food were excellent.

Intended to have dinner on a Friday night. Instead, had tapas. Eggplant campanata for three amounts to a teaspoon a piece. Falafel were the smallest I have EVER seen. Three scallops, one for each person and a salad for three. One drink a piece and a burger split three ways with one bite a piece of squash for $140. We typically spend this for the three of us, or a bit more; however, we don't often feel like we need to stop for food after a meal! The most frustrating part is that the burger was $16 but increased by an additional $5 because parmesan cheese was sprinkled on the accompanying french fries. We will not be going back again!

Dear 207TCEA
We are very sorry to hear that you left hungry--a complaint we don't hear very often. May I ask, did your server try to guide the dining experience? In general, our excellent staff is very good about helping folks navigate tapas and corresponding value--it can be a lot. Shared items like salad, scallops and eggplant spread can fall short calorically and I would surely have suggested what you were ordering might not be enough for (3) people to share for dinner. There are many more hearty items to choose from--The Korean short rib, the local mushroom and gruyere flatbread, the Korma meatballs, to name a few. (And should you visit again I would urge you to enjoy our amazing half pound burger all for yourself! I guaranty you will be more than satisfied!
As for the parmesan-truffle fries, I apologize if the menu is not clear with regard to the truffle oil that accompanies the parmesan cheese. It is actually one of our most popular items, but true--it comes at an expense.
Should you consider returning and giving us another shot, please contact me directly and I will see to it personally that you leave raving about both the flavor of our menu items and the value you receive. We have not been here for 11+ years leaving folks wanting more.
Sincerely
Scott Plath, Founder

The wife and I stopped in for lunch and found the menu limited and intended for the more "sophisticated" pallet. The wifes lunch consisted mainly of garnish and my burger was best described as some meat with green bushes. When the bill came we were decided never to return and next time look for a more blue collar type establishment.

Jeff was our waiter. He was taking care of the bar, tables, busing and running his own food. He helped us with the wine and food selection. All of his selections were perfect. It’s a very international menu and each item is uniquely wonderful. Jeff representative the food and the establishment very well. This is a must visit establishment

I really can’t say what type of place this is... raw bar, Asian, burgers ... all was delicious. One thing to consider is that the menu offers “small plates” and “large plates”. We each ordered a small plate but it turned out the small plates are really appetizers or like tapas. Not a big deal but just a warning to order several small or else go for the large. I met a friend that I hadn’t seen in years so we sat for 4hrs!! Yikes. I felt bad we were taking a table from the waitress but she was so nice about it and we never felt rushed.

We like to say: Raw. Bar. Global. Chill. We are whatever kind of place you want us to be--have a burger and a beer or some globally inspired tapas and house crafted cocktails! As long as you are happy, we are happy! Please come again soon.

Reserve a table for a Birthday dinner ,the inicial table was very noisy near two large parties. The birthday was never addressed by the staff, however our server was excellent.

A surprisingly diverse menu. Asian items, like dumplings and spring rolls, plus old standbys like burgers, mac and cheese. All quite good and tasty. We enjoy a variety among the 7 of us.
we had no reservations but they accommodated us nicely. Good beer and wine menu as well.

We came here at 11:30 for a business lunch and they seated us at a nice round table in the corner, giving us some privacy and the ability to talk and meet. Food here is very good and everyone was happy. Poke bowls were excellent, tuna fresh and sushi quality. Lunch bowls with Vietnamese system shrimp was very good. Overall,an excellent meal, great service.

I've been a regular patron of Moonstones since it opened. It was excellent from the first days and has continued to improve.
I would rate Moonstones with the best Boston restaurants for its sophisticated food menu (especially internationally themed small plates), well matched wine list, impeccable service, and inviting ambiance.
Kudos especially to the bar staff and servers for their friendly, sensitive interaction with regular and new patrons. I can't count the times that fellow patrons have complimented them. Bar manager Jeff is a top creative mixologist who constantly experiments with new cocktails. A visit to Moonstones is worthwhile just to taste his latest creations. If you're a beer fan, talk to bartender Cole. Beer is his passion, and you can ask him anything on the topic. Staffers Aaron and Lindsay who work as servers and bartenders display real enthusiasm and project a positive vibe that makes patrons feel welcome.
Managers Peggy (GM) and Sade monitor operations and are always ready to answer questions and accommodate patrons.
I recently attended a wine dinner that was outstanding for both wine/food pairings and flawless service. This dinner was easily equivalent to and actually better than many wine dinners I've attended in Boston and elsewhere, and at a fraction of the cost.
Happy Hour runs from 3 to 6 Monday thru Friday and features bargain small plates and buck-a-shuck oysters on Mondays.
If you haven't visited Moonstones yet, you are missing a wonderful experience.

This restaurant was a real special surprise and had the food and atmosphere every place should have. They have very special drinks and the food is so special. I just had one night there but am thinking of driving back the 8 hours to go again. Hoorah for Moonstones!

This is my favorite restaurant in this area. I love to try a bunch of small plates and have never been disappointed! Some recent favorites are the latkes, tacos carnitas, and beet ravioli. Dirty martinis are amazing as well!

Group of 10 for dinner. Overall a very good meal. Started with drinks and 2 seafood towers. The whitefish pâté was the star here. A limited entree menu led to most items being represented at the table - no major complaints. I got the ribeye - I found it to be a pretty salty, but all-in-all was well-cooked and seasoned and would order it again. The table got several desserts including coconut pudding, gelato, carrot cake, crème brûlée and the cornbread. The carrot cake and cornbread were both great. The bill came to about $110/person incl. tip. Taken as a whole we all enjoyed the meal - I would go back myself and would recommend without reservation...
