While pulling a camping trailer on Route 68 headed out for one final trip for the year, we needed lunch and D’Atri’s was on the way. Super convenient for us with a gas station 2 doors down to refuel and a large church parking lot across the street with a small community park and pavilion to dine with our pup, the stars aligned and the food was as good as I remember it from 10+ years ago. An Italian Hoagie salad and a steak and cheese sub-both with their “seasoned lettuce” as well as a kids grilled cheese. Everyone enjoyed their food and the on and off convenience from the highway with everything we needed couldn’t have been better. Grab extra napkins as you will most likely need them. Open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, I’d you’re passing through on 68 don’t pass this by

Great fishtail sandwiches and fries. Fish was fried to a golden battered crust. Was presented on platter with fries that were well cooked. Served with a couple cups of packaged tasty tartar sauce. Iced tea was great, too. Will have same thing next time we visit.

This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were generally pleased with our experience. The service was good with the waitress being attentive. My meatball sub was delicious and quite large for the small size. I took half of it home. My wife’s chicken soup was good although she thought it was a bit salty. The applesauce was very good although I thought it was overpriced at $4.10. We will go back when in the area.

Read the Menu, thoroughly, when ordering. Ordered (2) small rigatoni dinners. Cost was $17.96 for both. Unbeknownst at time of ordering meat sauce, I was being charged $9.10 for MEAT SAUCE for two dinners. This is the first restaurant where there was a charge for meat sauce that had very minimal pieces of meat. I can understand if I ordered MEATBALLS at a reasonable price of $3.00 / dinner. At a cost of $4.55 / dinner is absolutely outrageous! Spoke with Garrett, nephew of Toni (owner). His response "Did you read the menu? " As a patron, this was not handled in a professional manner. I then reached out to Toni, the owner, and she refused to budge as well. She went on to tell me that it had ground chuck and sausage in it. You have permanently lost me as a patron in your restaurant, Toni. Rating this a 3 for service - ate bread and salad and dinner was slow to arrive.

When the food is cooked correctly and fresh this place can be great. However, they continue to fall short of their heritage by dropping the ball on various dishes. It's hit and miss, lately. I'm 57 years old and been eating at D'Atris, since childhood. One of my favorite dishes was their spaghetti and meatballs. The last 2 or 3 times I've ordered this, they continue to bake their meatballs to a black shell around the outside severely overcooking them. The meatballs have become very hard, and nearly tasteless. They used to be softer with much more taste and observable spices in them, etc. At $16+, I think this has become unacceptable. Prices on take-out subs was more than published dine-in menu prices. Ordered Italian sub June 1. Terrible. Lettuce barely seasoned with no taste. Cheese was terrible. No taste to the meats either. Never had an Italian sub there this bad. Definitely not what one was years ago when I got one.

D'Atri's makes a big point about their "seasoned lettuce". Including its use in their subs. Think iceberg lettuce liberally infused with an Italian-inspired Vinaigrette dressing, and you'll have their "seasoned lettuce". Is it good? It would make a great base for a side salad at dinner. But, in a chesesteak sub? Not really. In fact the "seasoned lettuce" overwhelms all other flavors in an otherwise well-constructed sandwich when it comes to ingredients and their proportions within. Instead of a quiet and subtle mixing of flavors, it's pretty much the "seasoned lettuce: which you taste. And, little else. One other difference is that they use "Miracle Whip", rather than the traditional mayonnaise. Would I come here again? For a sit-down Italian meal? Definitely! But, for a cheese steak sub? No.

I was in town for the day and met family at this restaurant. I had the special sandwich which was an omelet on a pepperoni roll. I thought it sounded interesting and that's still really the only thing I can say about it. It doesn't come with any sides for starters... I wouldn't really classify the sub roll looking thing with pepperoni baked into the bottom of it a "pepperoni roll" either. The "omlette" was just egg. It was dry. It was hard to chew. It wasn't at all what I expected and I most certainly wouldn't order it again nor recommend it to anyone else. I did order some maple cinnamon rolls to take home and those cinnamon rolls were absolutely divine. I'd go back and carry out bakery goods but probably wouldn't sit down to eat again...

Greeted by a smiling face and asked if we minded having lunch upstairs. Another smiling face took our order. The traditional Italian Hoagie did not disappoint. There is something about the dressing and sweet peppers that top off the cold cuts. A side salad was the addition and our smiles were the biggest. The only mistake we made was not having dessert as we saw them in the case as we left. Make sure you check out the case on the way in as am sure we would have split a dessert. Great, efficient service and great food.

This is the BEST Stake sandwich every! I would put this up against any other from any place. The bread is homemade, the lettuce is diced thin but not to thin and the dressing & herbs combine for an unbelievable topping. The tomato’s are sliced just right. The Parmesan cheese slices are on the bottom covered in miracle whip dressing. The stake is chopped thin, mixed with the onions and papers. If it sound good, it tastes 100% better. If you are a soda drinker the Vanilla Coke is a do not miss. The service is good and the food come out in a very timely manner. All the desserts are homemade. This place is worth the trip no matter how far the drive.

Steak subs were served on an cold oversized bun. The quantity of ingredients was well below the quantity served at the Datri's on Columbia St. I ordered a steak sub without the lettuce and it was only half full. Obviously lettuce is the main ingredient and the steak and cheese are there for the flavor The restaurant on Columbia St in downtown Cumberalnd is far superior.

Stopped at this exit for gas and decided to grab lunch. This restaurant was awesome. I got the German potato soup and a side of spaghetti. It was served with white, thick cut bread. All was delicious. My husband had the black and blue salad with there homemade blue cheese dressing. It was so good, we purchased dressing to take home. There desserts look amazing so we purchased some to take with us. No room to eat it after that wonderful meal. We plan to stop again on our way back home. We are so glad we found this place.

I have eaten here since I was a small child. Their cheesesteak sub is simply amazing! Sadly, the past couple of years Datris' service and food quality has decreased. Their once long-time wait staff has left. This all has been extremely disappointing. While we no longer live in the area, we still try to stop and eat here when we are back visiting the area. Our most recent trip showed some improvement in both service and food quality. I truly hope that this trend continues.

I recently had my first "experience" at D'Atri's and I am so upset that I didn't discover it sooner. That. Steak. Hoagie. Is. Everything. My mouth is watering thinking about it..... I am sure the entire menu is phenomenal, and the desserts look epic, but I was so full off half of a hoagie that I couldn't imagine eating another bite. Very friendly service and huge portions. I cannot wait to return. The bread was delicious, the meat was seasoned perfectly, the spices/dressing on the lettuce was phenomenal.

I used to live here and hadn't had a hoagie from D'atris in almost 40 years. Couldn't wait to have one again. It was everything I remembered in flavor, except that they had forgotten to make our fries, and by the time the fries were done, our sandwiches were ice cold. Such a disappointment!

I had the Crab cakes and they were good but nothing made them stand out as being fantastic worthy of a 5 star rating. The dining room while being nice and clean but again nothing spectacular. I will eat here again but go knowing you aren't getting a 5 star meal.
