I have ate at 10 different sushi places in Harford co and have found this location to have the largest variety in specialty rolls. This has been consistently in the top couple places I've ate.
Look at the plate of sushi my co-working and I had. It tasted as good as it looks. This unassuming place but has a nice comfortable inviting feel inside. The food, has been at just the right temperature and as you see by the photo, very well done. The staff is always helpful and polite.
Now this is a sushi place. I haven't tried their other foods. When I go out for sushi . . . that's what I get.
Give this place a try. Check out there specialty roll lunch specials.
they do takeout as well as they are open for dine in.

I like to visit a place several times before I write a 2nd review. Well each and every time it has been consistently good. Look at the photos of the specialty rolls. What I like is they have a large selection of specialty rolls so you have lots of options. The waitress checked on us a couple times which is how it should be. The food was good ad served at the right temp. The inside does offer enough seating but they also offer pick up and that was pretty busy.
Will be back again soon.

Kiyomi remains a cozy and friendly place to get sushi. I started with a warming Miso Soup with plenty of tiny tofu cubes. The Seaweed Salad was crisp and bright green on a bed of cucumber. The specials were either a 2-roll or 3-roll special combo. I got two of the spicy rolls. The aptly named Green Caterpillar Roll was wrapped in Avocado and contained Spicy Tuna Crunch inside, Topped with Tobiko. The Ring of Fire was topped with jalapeño rings with Crunch Spicy Tuna inside and also topped with Fresh Tuna, Tobiko & Chef Special Sauce. A special treat was the smooth Bunraku nihonjin mo wasuremono saki is a beautiful blue cube shaped bottle. The menu described its fermentation using "active natural micro organisms such as lactic acid bacterium." A delicious and visually satisfying meal.

Got the sesame chicken. the flavor of the sauce is good but it is just blobs of the fried batter. not really any chicken to speak of. and what chicken/mystery meat i did find was fried to death and dried out stringy mess. chicken is cheap. why can't you make this with nice chunks of meat? this meal was $13.95. prob cost them less than a $1 to make. i am not denying them a profit but come on. my wife's meal of the hibachi steak and scallops was skimpy. only a handful of meat and it was cold. this was $23.95. vegs were not hibachi cooked.
at least the fried rice was good. wonton soup and spring rolls just like any other place. they were fine.
this was a take out order. told us ready in 30 minutes, took over 1 hour.
definitely won't go back unless i hear of improvements.

Kiyomi provided a very pleasant atmosphere for lunch. Staff were attentive. Our cold saki arrived in a small ice bucket. This was followed by miso soup, edamame, and squid salad. The squid salad was the best I've ever had. For our main dishes, we got Hibachi Chicken and Hibachi Shrimp with rice and bith teriyaki and ginger sauces. One could get a double sushi choice for lunch special, so I chose Green Caterpillar and Sunrise Roll. Both were delicious and artfully presented. The Caterpillar used spicy tuna crunch, avocado, wasabi tobiko, and eel sauce. The Sunrise contained spicy yellowtail, crunch, cucumber, salmon, avocado, tobiko, and chef special sauce. As a nice gesture for Valentines Day, the staff brought a little packet of chocolates with the check.

Love this place. Have been a dozen times. Staff is always friendly. Sushi is great. I have been coming 1 to 2 times a month for a while and this is my go to. Menu has a lot of specialty rolls so you'll have plenty to try. A must stop.

For some reason our usual go-to place for sushi was not serving sushi that day, so we decided to try this place that we had never been to before. We were welcomed into a calm and serene environment that was pleasantly decorated in dark colors that were punctuated by colorful parasols hanging in different parts of the room. The service was very gracious and our particular waitress was friendly and engaging. I don't remember exactly what we ordered, but the sushi compared well with what we were used to eating at our regular sushi place. Though this restaurant is considerably farther away from us than our regular sushi place, I would recommend other sushi lovers to try it if it's in their neighborhood.

Kiyomi Sushi offers a variety in Japanese cuisine, in pleasant surroundings. The staff are welcoming and happy to explain the menu items. This led to my first ever taste of sea urchin. The texture was unexpected, but the taste, fresh and beautifully presented in cucumber 'flowers '. The crisp seaweed salad and hearty miso soup were good starters. For my main dish I had the Ring of Fire Roll with spicy tuna and topped with fresh tuna and jalapeno. Mochi Ice Cream provided a cool ending to a great meal.
