We arrived on a gorgeous day for lunch over Easter weekend. Easily got a parking spot at the carpark next door. We were very warmly welcomed by a young man and shown to a table with stunning beach views. The teenagers ordered fish and chips...which they said was plentiful and delicious. My husband and I ordered Fish Tacos which was really fresh and just melted in your mouth. We ordered sparkling water as neither of us drink alcohol during the day, but on a hot summer day it was cool and refreshing. The highlight was the fabulous Chocolate Skillet Cookie served with vanilla bean ice cream. It arrived oven fresh, and beautifully presented and decorated. We really enjoyed the wonderful food and the stunning beach views. There was a good variety of options on the menu, and next time will pick the fish cakes followed by the house smoked salmon. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. A real treat for the Coromandel Peninsula. It was a perfect dining experience and a highlight of our Easter Weekend break.More

I booked in for an early dinner at Hotties beachfront Eatery, with a friend, we are locals but have not had this pleasure of experience for some time...The environment and setting was incredible, service was outstanding, recommendations for special dishes & wine knowledge was world-class...and delivered with impeccable timing and superb quality! We had an amazing experience all round, so thank you Hotties Eatery for an absolute 10/10 evening! We visited Hotties this morning intending to have a coffee and possibly breakfast. Unfortunately we were faced with the most rude behaviour by a person who appeared to be the proprietor when we were ordering our coffee at the counter. He abruptly asked us if...we had used our Covid tracer app and rudely directed us to order our coffee from an outside window. There were no signs on the premises saying this is how orders would be taken. The embarrassed waitress at the counter said she would bring our coffee to the table as we made our way to a table outside. A couple of minutes later the same man called out to us from the entrance to collect our coffee. Very embarrassing! I didn’t realise Hotties was an army camp! This is not the NZ way to treat people. Avoid at all costs!!More
