The staff were friendly and the decor is pleasant although not particularly original. We found the menu a bit limited. The usual big breakfast type of meals and a lot of different versions of hot chips. There was a Greek salad on offer and various filled baps. Our meals were a good size and over all fine, although my husband felt the poached eggs in the eggs benedict were over cooked. If you're shopping in the area and need a hearty lunch this is a good place but I wouldn't make a special trip.

I went here for breakfast with my nana, as we walked in and looked at the cabinet food we were amazed how delicious everything looked. I ordered an eggs benedict with salmon, plus a Korean mozarella corndog and my nana ordered a Bacon Foccacia.
The Korean Mozarella Corndog was nothing I expected, I expected a giant mozarella stick on a stick. However - the batter is more bread like and has a sweet taste to it, and the mozarella isn’t overwhelming, I almost inhaled it on the spot. The Bacon Foccacia had a lot of filling in it which was surprising because most places have heaps of fillings where you can see and then barely any at the back - was a glorious surprise! The eggs were cooked so perfectly and so was the Salmon. The hollandaise sauce was utter perfection.
Nothing prepared us for the Heaven that we tasted this morning. We have been to a lot of cafès and none of them come close to the deliciousness we had here. Everything was perfect, and on top of delicious food, there was also exceptional customer service.
This place will absolutely be a regular for my nana and I from now on.

So nice to be out of Level 3 lockdown and to be able to enjoy a nice lunch with a girlfriend again at one of my favourite local cafes. Lygon is under new management and the new team is more than meeting the well-established high standard. Couldn't resist taking one of their delicious yoyoes home for a treat for my husband. If you're dying for a piece of Louise slice just like Granny used to make, this is the place to find it.

Have been back here since the change of management because we were so disillusioned previously and hoped to give it another chance. This time round, for the last few weeks, being locals, on a weekly basis, thoroughly enjoyed the fish and chips, and made it a regular thing. But, along come the school holidays and the food goes down the pan. Three measly little slivers of fish, with bloodlines, so inedible, with a great wad of soggy batter around each to pad them out, and a heap of the skinny chips which have no flavour nor substance. $18!!!!! Ugh. You have lost 2 happy customers, Ligon. Not all of us who eat there during the holidays are tourists or our-of-towners. So, so disappointing. You need to learn to look after your locals who are your bread and butter and not make a quick buck out of visitors. Oh and cups of tea are pathetically small.

What a wonderful friendly cafe this is with amazingly friendly and helpful staff.
My visits here have always been positive and I have left feeling happy and contented!!
Today I had seafood chowder with ciabatta bread for lunch.
It was superb!!
I will be dining here again!!

coffee was not nice . burnt taste . area inside is a bit tired and need a good clean . so sat out side. food looked good but was not hungry .

Come here a lot, they haven't always got what I want but their dishes are tasty and plentiful, The Lasagne is yummy and their beetroot salad is delicious, great service by the hard working staff, keep up the good work guys.

Love this cafe the food is exceptional, great prices, but the best thing for us is it is dog friendly, she loves it here too. Fantastic service, everyone is always friendly and so helpful, our meals have been perfectly cooked and delicious.

Always busy with a great atmosphere. Sit at a table or enjoy a couch seat for a coffee chat. Best coffee and hot chocolates! Our kids love their hot chips too. A great place to meet with friends.

Great coffee, fast friendly efficient service. A great variety of fresh food. The best thing was I got a discount for taking my own cup for a takeaway coffee 50 cents on a large a good incentive for reducing waste in New Zealand.

Quick takeaway coffees. Good. Didn't manage to eat this time. There was vegetarian but I didn't see any vegan. (However I didnt ask). Cool cups.
