Excellent food and Service

We visited this restaurant twice during our our stay as it offered overall the best food (and service) whilst not being overly too pricey. The waiting staff were particularly good and the wait between courses was spot on. All the food - pasta, salmon, garlic bread, Fillet Steak, pizza and deserts were all very tasty and reasonably priced. My only critique is that its no exactly a salubrious location being adjacent to dual carriageway and next to a used car dealership! That being said it was the best restaurant overall that we visited during our stay and if location isn’t important then you won’t be disappointed with the food and service.

Like visiting an old friend

We walked by one night and the restaurant was packed, which is always a good sign. So we decided to eat here and were NOT disappointed. Friendly staff, amazing food, and they went out of their way to find us a table for 8, even though we didn't have a reservation. So we ended up coming back 2 more nights. It felt like being greeted by old friends, and we felt really welcome every time. The food is so good, everything tasted fresh and you could tell the chef put his/her heart into preparing the meals. If you're in the area, make a reservation and eat here. I promise you'll love it.

Best restaurant at Punto Prima!

Loved the food and the service! Will visit back ASAP. We ordered pizza and Italian seafood plate for starter, Surf & Turf and black pasta for mane course and pancake with Vanilla Ice cream and chocolate souse for desert. The service was as good as it gets even though the restaurant was busy. Five stars are well deserved.

Disappointing!

Visited this restaurant many times and have really enjoyed each visit however this visit was disappointing. We arrived as a walk in as our request was not acknowledged or answered through their booking system. This was brushed off by their Matradee when we arrived. We were put in a corner near where their spare furniture were stored ( even though other tables were available) Not the best outlook. When ready to order our food with our waiter, he was halted from taking our order to join a birthday party to sing happy birthday. This made us feel as a group of 3 come second to a celebratory party of a bigger size. When our meal arrived it was nothing special. Fillet steak was 2 pieces on top of each other to look like 1 piece and no alternative to chips, which is not what everyone wants. Overall very expensive for a poor service and standard meal. What a shame as this was a family treat every time we came over. We will not be returning again.

Superb Italian Restaurant

We have now eaten here 3 times in past 3 weeks as a family of five and as a party of ten. The food never fails to disappoint and our friends who are ‘foodies’ thought it was excellent. The steak with pepper sauce is my favourite and the prawn/smoked salmon starter is terrific. We would highly recommend. My kids loved the pancakes filled with ice cream.

Excellent experience

Not so often it happens that you can give 5 points to all of the elements a restaurant could offer. Late Sunday afternoon the 13th March 2022 that happened in Restaurant Giacomo in Punta Prima. We took only main courses: Pollo alla Diavola, Ravioli al Formaggi and Pizza Prosciutti e Funghi. All of them were super. I must also underline that the service we were given by the personel was so professional and friendly that we all give the best possible recommendation to visit this restaurant .

We ordered cheesy garlic bread, italian meat selection with continental salad, penne with salmon, prawns and tomato, chicken with pancetta and dauphinoise potatoes. Food absolutely gorgeous, and lots of it. Flavour beautiful. Waitress so helpful and knowledgable regarding product and helping size..this has very quickly become my favourite Italian close to home.

Great food and family friendly

Been visiting this restaurant for years now and it is always great food. The staff are really friendly and Lena (I think her name is) is great with the kids and always ensures their meals come out quickly so they don’t get too bored whilst waiting for the food. My go to meal is the Pollo Rosemarino which is always good and the pasta dishes are also great. Always visit a couple of times whilst we are on holiday and it is always our go to venue for our last night meal.

One not to be missed

We have been searching for an Italian restaurant for ages, luckily for us a chef (off duty) in CC Playa Flamenca overheard us talking. He advised us to try Giacomo’s. What a recommendation! From the minute we walked in to when we left we felt welcome. The only table they had available was inside - lucky for us as it is air conditioned 😊 Onto the food, we both opted for the bruschetta, I had the tomato whilst the husband had the meat version, both very tasty. For main I opted for the king prawns in tomato and chilli (this came with rice and chips) and the husband opted for fillet steak (blu). We could not fault anything! For dessert I opted for the baileys banoffi which was huge! And delicious. Hubby couldn’t make up his mind so he had three, tiramisu, fudge cake and the lemon ice cream - he loved all three! Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos! Drinks, I tried the white sangria, delicious and I don’t think I will have traditional sangria again after that. Husband wanted red wine with his steak; he had the option of different ones as well as room temperature or colder. Service, what a delight to be looked after by the knowledgeable, friendly and happy Diana, this made our evening complete. Definitely try here, you will not be disappointed, we are definitely going to be regular visitors from now on.

The best Italian restaurant

The best Italian restaurant south of Torrevieja. Marginally on the expensive side but food top quality, plentiful and beautifully presented. Be it a typical Italian pasta or pizza dish or one of the more international succulent steak or chicken or salmon dishes the ones I have tried have always been a little different from the norm in the blend of sauces used and very delicious. Service excellent.

Fantastic food and friendly staff

We visited this restaurant for a second time last night and the food was fantastic. Lena and all the staff are so friendly. It was my husband’s birthday and they added a cake flare to his dessert which was a lovely touch as we had not organised this in advance. Will definitely return

Disappointing

We hadn't been to Giacomo for well over a year and used to love coming here for a very good meal. On Friday 27th October we decided to go there to celebrate our anniversary. The service was very good, as always, but the main course was extremely disappointing. The sauce on both our main dishes had no seasoning and was virtually tasteless; the potatoes weren't seasoned either. The tastiest item was the basic dressing on the salad! Also, my salmon was overcooked and very overcooked at one end. I didn't complain and we both ate our meals as we were hungry. I wonder if the "chef" has changed. The food was certainly nothing like what we used to enjoy so much. Very disappointed.

Fantastic dinner experience

First visit to this restaurant after several years of visiting Punta Prima and it certainly won’t be our last. The customer service is fantastic, we were made to feel welcome and valued and the staff went above and beyond, not just to us but to everyone in what was a pretty packed and bustling restaurant. Our food was utterly delicious and full of delicious flavours, it was good quality food, fresh, well cooked and great portion size. The menu has lots of choice to suit all. Food and drinks were very reasonable priced. Overall a great experience and we will definitely return next time we visit Punta Prima.

Amazing dining experience!

We visited Giacomo for my partners birthday and from the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and comfortable. The whole experience was excellent from start to finish. The customer service is first class, the staff are so accommodating, and genuinely happy in their work. For starters we had Garlic white wine and cream mushrooms and antipasto followed by perfectly cooked fillet and king prawns, we shared a Bailey’s Banoffi to finish! Giacomo is our new favourite place to go!
