Worth every penny Highly recommend!!!!

Amazing food which is cooked to perfection. I am never disappointed. They take different foods weekly and create MASTERPIECES. If you are not from the area it is a MUST. I recommend planning ahead and making reservations as everyone in town loves it. The atmosphere from the main area to the rooftop are both their own unique experiences and are just great. Staff is always friendly and willing to offer suggestions to the wary and unknowing. Do not miss out on this amazing place, you will regret it (HAHA)

One of my favorite places, very good burgers, steaks, Italian beef, and drinks. My only complaint about the food is the last couple meals we have had there is they have been slightly overcooking the burgers. In addition to, they really need to get some warm water working in the men’s bathroom so people can properly wash their hands.

Absolutely Surprised!

We went with another couple with this being my first time. Looking at the menu before hand, I was skeptical. It looked like any other place's menu. They had a specials menu that night and everyone at our table ordered the open faced filet mignon sandwich. It was amazing! Flavorful and tender it really was one of the best meals I had in a while. Another great part was that we were seated in their enclosed patio. It was great to feel like you were outside in the winter time and not be cold. Atmosphere is great and the service was very good especially with it being a busy night. I will be returning that's for sure!

Best. Food. Of. The. Region.

Seriously the best food around. I love my go to (Mediterranean Chicken Sandwich), but you can eat anything, their burgers are delicious, the salmon and risotto is amazing, seriously everything tastes like heaven. Be sure to try some beer or wine too, they have amazing varieties.

Poor dining experience ruins good food.

This place used to be one of our favorites, and we made a point to stop every time we were in town. The past couple of times have been terrible. I know that there are staffing shortages, but waiting 45-60 minutes for food with a 4:30pm reservation and sitting in a hot restaurant with little air circulation on a 90 degree day is not my idea of an enjoyable evening out. I can sympathize with the staffing issues, but there is no excuse for the poor air conditioning and lousy air circulation which makes the wait all that more miserable. Hopefully they can get things turned around soon.

Don’t miss the second floor!

Recommended by a local, we were pleased to find no wait at the second floor pop up during prime dining time on a Friday night (after being put on 55 minute wait list downstairs). The February decor was like Cupid on Steroids-fun and festive. Not normally one to order steak in a restaurant, the filet mignon with mushrooms was cooked perfectly, tender and full of flavor. (The bread with honey butter was a special surprise). The scalibut entree (scallops and halibut) was also unique and tasty! Plenty of bar options and my bourbon loving husband was in heaven. Not for everyday dining-but well worth a special date night experience!

Great whiskey flights

A friend brought me here on a snowy night. We are upstairs and they had a pop-up steakhouse. We came because of their extensive whiskey selection and the flights they offer. I had the lamb chops which were delicious. We shared the asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and my friend had the sliders (I had one, they were also delicious). They whiskey flights are a great way to taste a few different whiskeys. I had Elijah Craig 12yr, Bookers Small Batch 2021, Jefferson’s Twin Oak and I can’t remember the 4th because they were out of my first choice.

Monthly dinner

First of all, Stack's never lets me down with their quality of food and service. I sat outside on the third floor. It has an amazing view. The menu is a little different than the main restaurant on the first floor. The appetizers were great and my entree was amazing. Definitely be back soon

We were in Valparaiso for the weekend and enjoyed dinner one evening as well as the Sunday brunch. My husband had the Stacks Burger and I had the Tuscan Chicken sandwich. Both were excellent and the fries were amazing. We went to brunch this morning. I had the crepes with fresh fruit and my husband had the Denver Omelette. The presentation was beautiful!! You will not be disappointed!!

Rude service couldn't even get a seat for my family to eat.

I arrived at Stacks with my family of 5 at 6:20 p.m. and was told there would be a wait but they couldn't tell me how long. After 30 minutes I asked the front desk gentleman and he rudely said sir we don't have a spot for 5 your just going to have to wait. At this point we waited 10 more minutes then left to a different restaurant. Last time we visit Stacks!

We went for drinks on the roof

We just went for the first time since they opened the roof bar. Beautiful place...open air but can be closed off in winter. They spent a lot of money but it"s the kind of restaurant and decor that would be a big hit in Chicago...right here in Valpo. Because we have eaten there before I can tell you that the food is A+++. PS, service was friendly and good, drinks were spectacular!

Delightful

We were fortunate that the evening was lovely and were able to eat outside (altho the inside looked beautiful). Our waitress was very attentive and informative. I had the Portabella mushroom burger accompanied by onion straws. I was a wonderful meal enjoyed in an extremely pleasant atmosphere.

Mindray meeting

Every time I come here I try something new. I have never had a bad meal. So, I tried the Seared Aui Tuna, and the Cajun wings for an appetizer. Both were amazing. Then I had the Blackened Salmon for dinner. It was amazing. Can't speak highly enough about this place. Our waitress Felicia, is top notch. She was very attentive. Will be back soon.

Work dinner

Stacks never disappoints me. Their food is off the chart. Had the steak sliders and the dry rub wings for appetizers. Then I had the Coconut Shrimp for my entree. To top it off the service is outstanding. If you ever travel thru Valparaiso, you need to stop. They even have a rooftop for over 21.

Must do Valpo hot spot

Amazing space filled with tons of interesting decor with a manor library setting. Big menu with loads of choose and GF friendly as well. Dining in main floor was lively. Second and third floor al fresco experience not to be missed! Make this a must do in the downtown Valpo scene
