Went yesterday to bid an old childhood buddy goodbye before she leaves for Arizona. They seated me as one person waiting for another without making a face, and Amanda, my waitress, did not rush us either at the beginning or end of the meal. I had the Industrial Burger ($13.95) and my friend the Garlic Parmesan Burger (same price) although she ordered hers medium rare, and I got mine medium. Mine had no pink at all, but I had learned from many lunches at the Burgerhaus not to order rare, since they keep theirs bloody. That was not the problem here. My friend's burger was nice with a touch of pink, so next time I'll order medium rare. We both had a side of Garlic Mayo ($1.50) for our wedge potato fries, but they were excellent. I'm not usually a fry gal, but these were so good, crispy on the outside and soft inside. The Aioli was also worth the price, even though I also got a dish of ketchup (not on the tables) for the fries in case it was too garlicky. With 2 diet Pepsi's ($5.50 for both), our total was just under $37 with tax, once again lower than I'm used to paying at Burgerhaus. My burger was not as juicy, and not as large, but I really appreciated being able to hear my friend talk and we were able to exchange gifts and not feel like we were laggards. Altogether very satisfied with the experience.

Tasty food. Great atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Waiter could have been a bit more attentive was only reason for the 4 (3 or more of our drinks ran out and needed a refill they never got offered). Pot roast was tasty, as was fish and chips.

Came in for Saturday dinner, place was hoppin, but we were seated in 20 min. My wife and I both got the prime rib on Texas toast and it was delicious. The kids meals came with some really good vegetables. The atmosphere is unique and always a hit.

We have driven by this many times and always had something else in mind in Valpo. Today decided to give it a try. There were 4 of us, so got to sample a variety from nachos, salmon tacos, burgers and a salad. Absolutely nothing was a standout entree, and everything is at that $14-15 price point, about $2 too much. Very generic tasting food, no homemade salad dressings, 3 cheese curds on the burger, 5 potato wedges on the plate. Nope, not at those prices, and bottom line, just not yummy food. Server was attentive and friendly. Decor is unique.

I was so disappointed in this restaurant. We went here for lunch and everything was so overpriced! The best thing about this eatery was the little train that goes around the track above you. Our waiter was quite the character, efficient but a little over the top. I can’t fault him for that, just his personality I think. The average food that they offer on their menu is just ridiculously overpriced. Who wants to spend that kind of money on lunch? I know I don’t. It would be different If I was getting served an exceptional lunch but, for my husband, he went with the cheapest burger on the menu that I think was about $13.00. Kind of sloppy, nothing more then average he had said….They should rethink their menu and their prices, it took me a long time to figure out what to order because they just don’t have very good choices….

While in Valparaiso recently my husband and I decided to have dinner at Industrial Revolution Eatery. We made sure they would be open and checked the hours which said they would be open until 9pm.We got there a little after 7.We were seated promptly and a pleasant young man named Michael was our server. We ordered beers from the full service bar and placed our food order. After maybe 10 minutes,Michael came to our table and told us if we wanted anything else from the bar we needed to order in the next couple of minutes because the bar tender was getting ready to make last call! What! Really?! They were supposed to be open until 9pm and last call was around 7:30! I must say I was surprised. It's not like we were planning on closing the place down but it was only 7:30.Our food arrived a few minutes later and we'd gotten the burger sampler with potato wedges to share. They were fine but nothing really stood out. They were pretty pricey too,IMO.We paid our bill, left and went to Applebees for another beer. Was not a problem getting one there!

I've been here a lot in the last year. Burger selection is smaller than Burgerhaus (also in Valpo), but the prices are better and the atmosphere is fun. Was here with my husband and son today, and had the Industrial Revolution burger, medium, with garlic fries. The burger was perfectly cooked, the fries very good, and I asked for a side of garlic aioli (which was .75) because my friend had it when I was here last and it really enhanced the fries. Don't like the sweet potato fries, but my son ate them up, but he's on a health kick. My hubby had the chicken-fried chicken, and loved both the meat and the potatoes, which were warm. That's harder to get at a restaurant than you think. We've been to lots of places where the taters are cold and they just slap meat on it, hoping that warms it up. Not here. He ended the meal with a pumpkin pie, and I was dubious when we saw it, because it looked weird on top. But after sampling it, I realized that was a sprinkle of spice, and the pie itself was very tasty, spicy and delicious, just like I like it. I make an awesome pumpkin pie (James Beard recipe) and have for years, but I thought this pie was better than the recipe of that famous chef. Service was pretty good and attentive until it got busy (we came just when it opened) and I ended up paying $71, which was for 3 meals, 2 fountain drinks, and a dessert. That's pretty good these days, because usually when my son comes with us, we end up spending over $100. I know we did last time at Burgerhaus. Minus the tip, that's about $19 a person, which isn't crazy these days when McDonald's meals are just under 10. Very happy with the quality of the meal and I'll keep going here whenever I'd like a good meal and a good conversation, since it isn't overly loud at all. Parking lot is the worst part of the experience.

Incredible! Top to bottom- inside and out. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and it’s obvious the owner truly cares about what he’s offering. Excellent burger cooked to perfection with carmelized onions. My husband had a prime rib melt that was fantastic. The building is a thing of beauty- even the restrooms are special. Our server took great pride in her place of business, too. We were extremely impressed! Take time to look around and be sure to read the plaque outside below the magnificent work of art. Well done!

If you need to eat gluten free they probably won't get your order correct. I ordered from Grub hub on their app under gluten free. I received my order. I called them. They said my order was not gluten free. The food made me sick two months ago when I ordered it. The pizza. Yuck.

We apologize for this. We DO NOT support Grub hub. They have taken a picture of our menu and use it without our consent. They don't seem to ever get an order correct.
Please order through delivery.com.
We take great pride in our Gluten Free menu, it's not just for the fad dieters we specialize is celiac, all GF menu items are cooked in a separate area so there is no cross contamination.

We go to IR quite often, especially with friends and family who have never been there. We were there Monday evening and were seated outside the kitchen by the windows. First, we noticed the head cook did not have a mask on while preparing food. This, while Indiana's Covid #'s are climbing! Secondly, the kitchen staff was using foul language including m-fer loud enough to be heard by our table by the windows. Very disappointed as this was one of our favorite places to dine.

On Friday, Aug. 20, 2021, our family of 12 arrived at 8:30pm, to celebrate the return of my brother-in-law from his last Military deployment! When we arrived, their was no one waiting to be seated, we were asked how many in our party and immediately after we said "12" the guy and girl at the counter got an attitude. First they told us they could seat us, but it would be at two different tables which we were perfectly fine with, and when we said "that's perfect," the guy started getting irritated and then said "oh there will be a 45 minute wait." When we asked what changed, he started to get even more irritated and expressing an attitude and said "we only have one server, you can wait for 45 minutes, or go somewhere else!" I am absolutely appalled at the unprofessional treatment our family encountered, and even more so, because as we were walking out, a large group from a car club entered, and were seated! Absolutely, DISGUSTING!

From the outside, the Industrial Revolution seems to promise a different experience. Its interior is interesting, though not super-unusual. Its menu offers several different choices, including some utilizing their housemade pot roast.
The dinners we chose were filling and tasty. My wife's "Chicken Fried Chick" was superb.
Service was spotty. On one hand it was very friendly, but the server was confused about what beer choices were available, as we tried to order beers that they didn't have on tap at all. And while the restaurant wasn't crowded, we were seated very near the door. So you got to hear every party that came in. Request a table further inside.

We love the atmosphere here (they call it "upscale industrial"), paying tribute to industry throughout history. The food is great, modern tasty recipes. We stop by for a meal whenever we pass through the area; it's just 10 miles off the turnpike. Check it out!

We took our son mainly to see the train running, it happened to be broken that day (this is our luck). Our burgers did not have any flavor, plenty of toppings but very bland. Service was mediocre but food was ready quick. Very neat decor and atmosphere.
