Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Have had takeaway coffee from here before but this time stayed for lunch. The pies were terrific, tasty, full of filling and hot. The bowl of chips were a must too. Service was very good and staff attentive.

This little place is a bit hidden from the road but once inside the food is delightful. The cafe was not that busy but the snapper and chips were wonderfully fresh and there was plenty of it. The mussel fritter was also filling. This was...More

Went to Salt Air cafe for lunch and were glad we did. The food was fresh and homemade. I had a cheeseburger and fries and my husband had a lamb pie. Prices were very reasonable and food arrived quickly. Would recommend.

Came in quite hungry as there wasn't anywhere else around. Didn't have great expectations but how wrong we were. From the warm welcome to the wonderful pies, coffees and home made cakes. It was a true delight. Definitely recommend

They have a snack menu, which really is a meal for me. An average size piece of breaded fish with some fries and tomato sauce for $9!! The menu looked quite appealing as well, lots to choose from and it seemed decently priced. Server was...More

Open from 6am to 4pm Monday's and Tuesday's, and all other days from 6am to 8pm. If you can't find this cafe, which nestles in behind a real estate office at Ngunguru on the Tutukaka Coast, simply follow the delightful aroma of fresh baking. All...More

Quiet and simple café but wow.. the food and coffee is always superb. One of our favourite places to go for brunch and lunch. Try the corn fritters!

Homemade pies and fish and chips, homemade soup, worth a visit on a cold day. Hidden down past the Real Estate business. Pancakes were good, F&C were great (I had them).

Pretty sure there "pancakes" are actually frozen disks of plastic softened up in the microwave and drenched in maple syrup. Everything else is alright though

Customer service was amazing. The food was even better. The home baked bread was delicious and the coffee is the best I've tasted in this area..

Perfect for a long leisurely brunch (gorgeous French toast with caramelised banana & bacon), an afternoon treat (flat white & homemade lemon cake), or a homemade pie for the road. Friendly staff & seaside views :)

A very nice dinner, café style meal, generous portions & friendly service. The fish was fresh, perfect chips. Portions too big to allow us to try the desserts.
