Very nice to have a large amount of space to dine with family and friends. The food is above average but didn't totally "wow" me. The waiter we had was very friendly and the service was quick. Overall, an enjoyable experience!

Hole in the Wall is an Italian restaurant with good food but I will never go back there after the way my family and I were treated and embarrassed! Knowing there are no reservations my wife daughter and I arrived at 5:10 PM for a...More

We had a celebratory dinner for our family. Highly recommend the ravioli with veal and the shells with veal! Go early! Expect some wait, but worth it!

The food is always good and the chefs are accommodating. Ask for the fresh grated cheese for your bread!

We ate here twice. I had the veal, and my wife had the short ribs and they were absolutely wonderful. You could cut them with a fork. Our friends had the pasta and the salmon and they said it was absolutely fantastic as well. I...More

Wednesday nite at 6:45, we had a 45 minute wait for a table. When we left at 8:15, the line was still out the door! Very loud because of 2 large groups celebrating. Seating is tight, so it's not a quiet, intimate setting...lots of fun,...More

This place is the real deal. There are only 12 tables and they don't take reservations. Avoid Friday and Saturday nights because it gets insane! They're also open for lunch. The menu is a chalkboard that changes daily with what they have fresh. I've been...More

I had heard many wonderful comments about this restaurant. I was able to partake of a meal recently at Francesco's Hole in the Wall restaurant. I was disheartened by all the hype. Don't misunderstand, the food was okay and the service was indeed great. The...More

First off, this place is best for a 2-top or 4-top. Any parties greater than 2-4 will be hard to get seated. This is a great restaurant. We shared 3 entrees and shared a large salad. Wine is not outrageously expensive either.

Small Italian restaurant with excellent food. Arrived at approximately noon for lunch and fortunately no wait…by 1pm the restaurant was full. House salad very good and can be shared. Chicken visuvio was excellent. Portions size is perfect. Highly recommend.

I'm not sure if you mean Gurnee (my location) or Francesca's. Gurnee is about 2 hours from the Drury Lane Theater. Gurnee is less than 10 minutes from the WI border and less than an hour from Milwaukee where there are... More
