Clean, friendly, courteous, homemade daily meals and the tastes you would expect and remember from grandmas house. We are going back there. It felt like you've gone back in time to those old days again. You don't want to leave.

This pleasant restaurant has been owned by the same family since 2006. That they take pride in it is evidenced by the friendly, accommodating service and quality food. We recently had occasion to dine here twice within 2 weeks--for a family birthday and during a..."sleepover" when our granddaughters requested dinner at "the Polish restaurant." Szarotka describes its food as European and comes very close to the food that my Polish and Ukrainian grandmothers lovingly prepared. Our family has several favorites from the menu but my personal favorite meals are a cup of either the hot borscht (beet soup) or the flavorful mushroom soup followed by potato pancakes or potato & cheese ("Russian-style") pierogi. The cabbage rolls also are delicious. Our granddaughters are fans of the smoked sausage with sauerkraut (enough for dinner and a carryout) and the goulash soup (one bowl is more than enough as an entree). My husband's most recent entree was the tasty Bavarian Pork Shank and our son-in-law enjoyed his Leg of Lamb entree. Caveat: don't be fooled by the menu listing "Small Dishes." We had found this on trip advisor and decided to try it. My wife and a friend of ours went for my birthday for dinner. Everyone was so friendly. We sat on the bar side which has a lot of tables and if felt more...like a restaurant area. I tried a Polish beer and it was great, had two. we decided to get appetizers and share. we got the meat perogi (best I have had since mom made them), potato pancakes, both my wife and our friend loved them, polish sausage and sour kraut (excellent) and stuffed cabbage. we also had each tried a different cup of soup and tasted each others and ALL of it was so good. Portions for appetizers were generous. we stuffed ourselves and still had to box some of it to take home. For us it was a bit of a ride, but will leave this one on the list to come back again and again.More

Ate at this restaurant for a luncheon. Started out with chicken noodle soup which was good but could have been warmer. We than had our salad which on the table offered 2 dressings, French and Ranch. Both dressings were very good and thick. After salad...they brought out family style main dishes which included chicken, dumplings, pork, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and polish sausage. Everything was very good and warm. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. I truly recommend this restaurant for those who are truly seeking a Polish restaurant food.More

I work in the building next door to here, so I usually do a carry out lunch. First of all, they have the best borscht with meat dumplings. I never had warm beet soup as good as their's. It's sweet and tangy, and just amazing....I ALWAYS order it, no matter what I get as my main entree. Pierogi are decent. I usually get half of them potato, half of them meat. They tend to load up the bacon on top so sometimes I opt out. Potato pancakes are the thicker battered style and very, very good. Breaded chicken breast is good with the mushroom sauce as well as the stuffed cabbage with the mushroom sauce. Everything I've tried here I've enjoyed but I always tend to order the same items because I can't get over them. OH! and the cheesecake with the raspberry wine sauce is to die for. I believe they are closed on Tuesdays for dining in/take out.More

We went there for lunch today. Had the slightly breaded pork cutlet. It was huge. Definitely enough for a second meal at home. Had 6 medium size red potatoes plus a small potion of lettuce. Also had cucumber salad in sour cream. Coffee was very...good Some of you might say the price is expensive but again I am having 2 meals. We will return again.More
