Busy, loud, lots of moving parts. Billiards to the left, bar to the right, a huge line of draft taps, thumping music and TV's all around. You won't get sleepy visiting Snappers. We enjoyed great service, hot fresh bar food and a welcoming experience. We are obvious out of towners who were welcomed with open arms. If we lived here we would be regulars.

We had a large group and service was exceptional. Nice, clean establishment with excellent food and reasonable prices.

The locals fill the place, the food is good, and the price is right. Well worth getting off 51 and coming to square. Outdoor and indoor seating.

I have been going to this bar and grill every time I come to Clinton to see the grandkids. Went there last week to pick up a to go order. They had tables outside serving customers, and a lot of customers inside picking up to go orders. I was the only person wearing a mask. None of the servers, cooks, bartenders where health conscious wearing masks. If the owners of this restaurant do not care about the health of their employees or the general public, I will not go there again. Totally unacceptable.

What an abomination of an establishment. No social distancing, no employees wearing masks (even saw an employee get harassed for attempting to wear a mask when walking in for their shift), no cleaning protocols in place.
The food is alright but the last time I was here it wasn't remotely overcooked and this time the bacon was inedible because it was like charcoal.
Was harassed multiple times for wearing a mask and when I tried to bring attention to it to my server, they rolled their eyes at me and told me I was welcome to eat somewhere else.
The owner already made an ass of himself online back in March and had his daughter come to his rescue and they've been accused multiple times of other misdeeds but I figured that couldn't be true, until I saw it all for myself. If you eat here you run the serious risk of catching this disease because nobody here cares about the lives of other humans.

Food was good, but not a single person, including the waitresses, had a mask. Tables not distanced either. Doesn't matter how good it tastes if not safe. Won't be back.

Rode to Clinton - checked out Snappers again (had a favorable experience before) this is not different (except that one of my friends is vegetarian and choice is limited to fried food/grilled cheese/salad so after a tasty beverage... We headed out to find a vegi-option for our vegi-friend. Our waitstaff was friendly and helpful with drink orders and restaurant options. Also she had said she will speak to management about getting a vegetarian friendly option or two on the menu.

We go here for trivia on Tuesdays.
Trivia is fun. The foods good.
Beers are cold.
But if we get Jade as our waitress... it makes our night.
She keeps our drinks full without us even having to ask.
She's the best!!!

We were out on a Sunday afternoon ride with some friends and they suggested a beer at snappers. Well, when I saw southwest egg rolls on the menu I knew I had to try them, and my husband had a burger with sautéed onions, we were both impressed and he actually said that was one of the best burgers he’s ever had.

My wife and I decided to take a little trip to Snappers and try them out. Upon arriving, since it was a nice day, we decided to eat outside. There are five or six tables right outside the front door. As we sat down I smelled cigarette smoke and realized a couple of guys right next to the front door and two tables away from us were smoking. Apparently the smoking section is the outdoor table location. Each table had a bucket with sand in it for butts. The tables are also too close to the front door, by Illinois law, for smoking. So instead of enjoying the day we had to go inside to eat. It took a little while for the waitress to arrive whereby our drinks were presented to us and were incorrect. How hard is it to get two glasses of tea without lemon? We placed our orders and waited. It is interesting to note that none of the sandwiches, in this case an $8 turkey/bacon and a $9 steak sandwich does not come with any sides. The sides have to be ordered separately from appetizer menu. I find this a little strange and obviously an issue about profit. The food orders came out not quick, just a little slow for how slow the restaurant was. The food was hot and delicious, the cook did a great job. Since I ordered the steak sandwich I asked for A1 sauce. I received a small plastic cup about 1/3rd full of sauce. Upon using that I asked and received the exact same thing. We noted how nice the inside of the restaurant was and the bathrooms were very nicely done. It is obvious the owner cares about the looks of the restaurant. Upon receiving the bill I noted .60 cents for the A1 sauce. I confirmed this was not a misprint and paid the bill. I attempted to contact Joe, the owner, several times over the next nine days to discuss the smoking situation and the charge for A1 sauce. I also left my name and number, but my call was never returned and I was unable to speak to Joe about these issues. Therefore, I decided to leave this review since Joe cannot return a phone call or be available for customers. One tip Joe should take from this is that customers like to see and speak with the owner, it is just good business and something the old-time restaurant owners know too well.

We came to Clinton just to try Snappers after I had heard about it from a friend. We were very pleased! We sat outside and enjoyed hamburgers and the loaded fries. Everything was delicious! The beer selection is outstanding as well. We will definitely go back! Inside is spacious and attractive as well! Don’t miss it if you are anywhere near Clinton!
