We always enjoy Boka. The ambiance is quiet and refined, but not stuffy. The service is attentive and friendly. We usually get the seasonal tasting menu with reserve beverage pairings. The food is always great with unique and interesting flavors. The cocktails are equally stand...More

We knew it was a spectacular restaurant in Chicago but we couldn’t expect that much. The combination of flavors, colors, textures , is magic. We had the tasting menu and it was impossible to elect the best dish. The place is cool and the waiters...More

Our first taste of the Boka Group was the original Boka. What a great result! We thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu, which had many very tasteful courses. Never experienced such strong tastes before, and not one was a disappointment. Highly recommended.

We did the ala carte as opposed to the 8 course tasting menu. We had an app and entree each. Servings were small by American standards but that is fine. Plates were interesting but a little too much salt.

The place was great and the expensive, but it is worth the price. I went there after being assured by people, and i am happy that i listened. It has the perfect ambiance for a date with your better half, and I would recommend going...More

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. It was seriously the best meal I’ve ever had. We did the 9 course tasting menu and it was simply divine. I really felt bad for people who didn’t order this. Every dish was perfectly...More

From the moment we stepped in, we were impressed with Boka: its atmosphere is welcoming, modern and comfortable. The staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. All the dishes that our group tried were delicious. For example both the duck and the sea bass were outstanding.

We went to Boka the other night after an absence of many years. It was truly superb. The menu is imaginative, the food prepared perfectly and the service outstanding. We particularly liked the way the servers worked the tables, never letting us want for anything....More

We went to Boka to celebrate my husband's birthday. We are new to Chicago and picked Boka based on reviews and it did not disappoint. Instead of opting for the tasting menu, we decided to order several apps and two entrees and shared everything. We...More

Without the tasting menu and with suitable accompanying drinks: $150-$200. We were there on restaurant week (a good bargain at $44/each), but $40 at the bar and wine at the meal ($50) got us up to $200.

No, however it draws a substantial theater crowd so you typically see people in at least business casual. But no formal dress code.

Description
Named one of Food & Wine magazine’s “Best New Chefs 2008,” Executive Chef Giuseppe Tentori features contemporary, seasonal American food. The Michelin Dining Guide recently awarded BOKA one star and the Chicago Tribune gave three, calling it “One of the city’s best.” Chicago magazine awarded three stars as well and has called it “The hottest ticket in town.” Chef Tentori was named a rising star by both Star Chefs and Restaurant Hospitality magazine, and BOKA was awarded the 4 Diamond AAA in 2009. A great spot for wedding receptions, corporate meetings, pharmaceutical dinners and cocktail parties, the space allows for private parties in a variety of rooms both private and semi private. The restaurant was designed by Bogdanow Partners and features sweeping architectural sails and a stunning 90 seat outdoor patio.
