A destination restaurant with menu and staff deserving of the glowing reputation. A wonderful journey from starters to two dessert selections that provided a delicious and entertaining evening for our small group. Personally, the quail stood out in both flavor and preparation. Each of my...More

A wonderful place, eclectic decor, genuinely welcoming and engaging service and a tasting menu that takes you on a journey though a culinary landscape worthy of Lewis Carol and Oscar Wilde. Memorable tastes included foie gras shavings - ooh sooo creamy - ricotta dumplings -...More

This is a go to place when I can’t decided where to go for dinner. Food is always great, as are the servers and the ambience.

The food was good! Unfortunately the restaurant was quite dark and it was difficult to see the dishes... Service was good!

Second time visiting. Didn't disappoint. Food was delicious with well managed portions. They also looked after my wife well for her birthday. It isn't cheap, but I think it is worth it. Excellent.

From the moment we walked in until we left the evening was wonderful. We had the tasting menu and wine pairings. So many unique tastes, with each one delicious. So many levels of flavor and texture.

Without the tasting menu and with suitable accompanying drinks: $150-$200. We were there on restaurant week (a good bargain at $44/each), but $40 at the bar and wine at the meal ($50) got us up to $200.

No, however it draws a substantial theater crowd so you typically see people in at least business casual. But no formal dress code.

Named one of Food & Wine magazine’s “Best New Chefs 2008,” Executive Chef Giuseppe Tentori features contemporary, seasonal American food. The Michelin Dining Guide recently awarded BOKA one star and the Chicago Tribune gave three, calling it “One of the city’s best.” Chicago magazine awarded three stars as well and has called it “The hottest ticket in town.” Chef Tentori was named a rising star by both Star Chefs and Restaurant Hospitality magazine, and BOKA was awarded the 4 Diamond AAA in 2009. A great spot for wedding receptions, corporate meetings, pharmaceutical dinners and cocktail parties, the space allows for private parties in a variety of rooms both private and semi private. The restaurant was designed by Bogdanow Partners and features sweeping architectural sails and a stunning 90 seat outdoor patio.
