The chef at this restaurant truly knows how to wow a crowd. Absolutely delicious food, fabulous menu, and plenty of great eats for those of us with more conservative tastes. Loved, and will definitely be going back!

In a short answer: yes. Girl and the Goat lives up to all the hype and it’s worth booking months in advance for your reservation. Chicago’s West Loop was establishing itself as a foodie haven even before Stephanie Izard - of Top Chef fame -...More

In my opinion Girl & the Goat is the best priced restaurant in Chicago. You get gourmet food in small portions. We share four dishes plus dessert. The Chef, Stephany Izard won an early edition of Top Chef and recently became an Iron Chef. She...More

Get reservations way in advance but it’s worth it. It’s shareables so like tapas so order a few per person but save room for dessert! The cauliflower is a must have, the breads are good too. You can’t go wrong with any of the desserts...More

Been wanting to try this place for years- plan ahead when making a reservation! Don’t miss the green beans or cauliflower dishes. Goat dishes came with awesome pickles.

Fulton Market, Randolph Market, Jackson Boulevard and
Greek Town make up the West Loop. The neighborhood is

I do not recommend bringing children. There is no kids menu. There many better choices for kids in the city. I would suggest RJ Grunts or Heaven on Seven. If it's a weekday and lunch lookup Revival Food Hall.

If you go for an early dinner, lots of natural light comes into the dining area and the atmosphere isn’t very loud at all. They have high chairs and will check strollers. Although there is no kids menu, if your kids eat... More

Girl & the Goat has been serving fun foods, craft beers, and making wine in a rustic and kick-butt environment since summer 2010. The restaurant opens at 4:30 every day, and stays open until 11pm on weeknights and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays (until those last late night eaters scrape their fork across the plate for the last time, or finish licking their plates until they're shiny and clean). The Goat's menu is divided into three categories: Vegetable, Fish, and of course Meat--while vegetable, fish, or meat are respectively the main stars of their categories, there are crossovers in each area so you'll get a little bit of everything. Bread is baked daily, and there are always new creations on the menu. Girl & the Goat sits in the West Loop smack dab in the Randolph Restaurant Corridor, but the location is still gritty enough to appeal to the chef’s integrity. The Goat has a variety of seating choices, including a comfortable lounge, bar seats, standard table seating, and four seats close enough to the kitchen line that you might be asked to help.Girl & the Goat blended their own wine, and it's tasty. There are beers on tap from Three Floyd’s and a couple others. If you're lucky, you might come across the elusive collaboration beers that Stephanie personally crafted with a couple of beer buddy cohorts. In addition to tap beers, there's also a bunch of bottles to choose from. Girl & the Goat is open 7 days a week, because The Goat is a tireless beast, and besides, who needs rest anyway? Girl & the Goat accepts reservations but always welcomes walk-ins, nomads, adventurers, and those of you who don’t like to plan.
