Great dinner and atmosphere

We were in Garden Valley Idaho over the weekend and had heard about the Two Rivers Grill. A very rustic and positive environment with outstanding food. There were four of us. We had appetizers that included pork ribs and cheese curds. Both were excellent and did not last long. The main course around the table included soup and salad. The soup was an Italian sausage that outstanding. The dressing was on the side for the salads and too seemed homemade and very good. Our entrees included fettuccine Alfredo with prawns, a 1/2 pound cheeseburger with breaded fries and a Koran beef dish. All were very good. We barely had time for dessert but decided why not. We shared chocolate cake and a Mario berry cobbler with ice cream. Both were very, very good. Only recommendation I would have served the cobbler warm. I am guessing we could have had it that way. Overall was a great evening, despite the challenges of getting and keeping good help. We met the owners who are incredibly passionate about their product and restaurant. Would definitely go again.

Our first visit was practically a private lunch with the owner/chef who is passionate about bringing good food to this small town. We’ve been back since with picky eaters who also loved the food. Everything we’ve tried has been super and we can highly recommend the burgers especially. Of course, like all restaurants this summer, they are suffering a bit from not enough help, but your patience is worth it.

Nice dinner in Crouch

My husband and I had a very nice dinner at the Two Rivers Grill. They were short staffed, but still made it work. Our cocktails were excellent, and the food was very tasty and well prepared. They had run out of some menu items, so I would recommend, if possible, going towards the earlier part of the evening to have more choices available. Reservations are accepted.

Waiter was nice and friendly. We went on our family for our wedding anniversary on a Thursday for a 6:30 dinner reservation. Upon being seated, we Immediately were told that they were out of pork chops and kalbi. One of us ordered a burger. They were out of all burgers. I ordered a prime rib. They were out of prime rib. This was at 6:30pm on a week night. I don’t recommend this restaurant as they clearly do not reliably serve everything advertised on their menu. Eat here at your own risk.

Always drive by this place wasn’t to busy decided to stop in and try it. (7pm)..two tables taken outside on the large covered deck. Inside looked to be about 3/4 full. Waited to be seated for over 10min, however we stood there long enough to witness a waitress return a meal that was under cooked. The cook, who is just a few steps behind the reception desk, complained, grabbed the steak threw it on the grill, threw the plate into a bin and continued to say not nice things. We finally were told that if we sit outside we can sit right away. Okay so we sat outside, it’s dark it’s cool (October) but we’re hungry. We both order burgers. The waitress returns and informs us they just ran out of hamburger and oh yeah we can’t order salads because they have no lettuce would we like anything else? So I order the ribs $22 instead of $11 and my buddy ordered the steak special $24 instead of $11. The food came out in a reasonable time. My ribs were okay probably out of the cooler from the previous day and reheated (too much sauce) my buddy’s steak, which he ordered med rare, was brazed at best. We waited for waitress to return but she didn’t. My buddy walked in with his plate to have his steak cooked more and experienced the same thing from the cook while we waited to be seated. He returned and the steak still wasn’t cooked properly but enough to eat so he did. Would I return here? The waitstaff was very nice but short handed. The food? The cook (tall older gentleman) did things his was and didn’t care if you liked it. So no I’d steer clear of this place. Very unfortunate because your options are very limited in this sleepy little town. I wish I could rate better but I just can’t.

A couple years ago we had enjoyed a delicious dinner here. The chef visited our table. We were extremely impressed and looked forward to future visits. HOWEVER....recently we arrived at 4:30 (the restaurant had just opened and we the only people there) The hostess was not the least bit welcoming. We did not have a reservation which appeared to very inconvenient for her. We were shown to a table outside. We wanted to eat inside as It was very warm out, and being Aug there were quite a number of flies) It was frustrating to see the inside of the restaurant had probably 10 tables sitting empty while we sat in the heat with the flies. The tables did fill up the entire duration of our visit. The food was good. Our waitress was also good. The kid menu has age was strictly enforced. 8 and under. No exceptions even when we had two 12 year olds that wanted the kid food (not the adult type food)

INCREDIBLE Dining Experience(s)!

My husband and I LOVE dining here! The food is as good or better than any other fine dining restaurant. The chef's ability to make the food melt in your mouth is amazing. He really cares about their customers and will frequently come to your table to make sure everything meets your expectation. The professional wait and bar staff make sure you are well taken care of and all your dining needs are met. We eat here as often as possible and have never been disappointed.

I believe they were having a off night. But waited 1.5 hours and no food. They just kept seating people despite ability to get food out. Waitress kept saying food up next. Left without eating To top it off they made us pay for our salads

Out of the Way GEM!!

We stopped in for lunch, ordered the Croque Monsieur (hot ham & cheese sandwich) with fries and the crab & artichoke with melted cheese sandwich (similar to tuna melt) with sweet potato fries (up charge). OMG what a Find!! Rob the owner/chef came by to see how we liked our meal and visited with us for a bit, nicest guy! And he made, from scratch, carrot soup, which he brought us some, so Delicious!! And not overpriced, under $25. Just thinking about it makes us want to Return!! We had our meal outside on the patio. It's the kind of place you wish was near your hometown!!

Love the variety offered by this restaurant, I had the trout with hazelnut sauce and husband had the steak and both meals were flavorful and cooked to perfection. The food here is good, so we took the pie ala mode home for dessert.

My boyfriend had primerib and I had a burger. Waitress and the staff gave is great service and the food was fantastic. Wish we had them in Boise. I thought it was called Longhorn before but now it's Two Rivers Grill. Highly recommend it!

Horrible Salads

Everyone enjoyed their meals except me. I ordered the Caesar Salad. It was basically wilted spinach with store bought dressing. The soup and burgers were excellent. The waitress and the rest of the staff were superb.

Lunch for two on a Sunday

For a monumental taste of old cowboy country quality beef cooking, this place is a true delight. For hamburgers, you can count on magnificent Angus beef burgers with real cheese and fresh quality buns. If you pick the prime rib sandwich, it is equally incredible, wonderful baguette complete with au jus. Appetizers are awesome. The help is friendly, the outdoor deck is pleasant even in very hot weather. If you are going anywhere along banks lowman road, turn at the bridge and stop in. You'll be very glad you did.
