Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

During a stop over in Valdosta we were intrigued by their on line menu and Devi to visit. Menu selection was great. Food was excellent. Service very good, and environment full of character. Would absolutely visit again if in Valdosta. Rats a 4.5.

Went with a few friends for dinner. Excellent food. We ordered the grape leaves as a appetizer. Friend also had the sangria. Veal piccata was my choice. The salad came. I wanted the Greek instead, it’s a up charge, but worth it. Been craving that still. Veal piccata came out, piping hot. I haven’t been here in a long time, I will be back more often. The meal was superb. Other items ordered, redfish, chicken apollina, baklava. Everyone was pleased with full bellies!

I'm patient so a long wait for the food doesn't bother me if the end result is worth it. This was an anniversary dinner and we have never had anything less than good food and service in the past. We will never patronize this establishment again. The portions were ridiculously small for the price and the meal was bland. The hostess and server were openly indifferent to us and the other patrons. Every single dish and glass placed before my wife was chipped or dirty. The salt and pepper were heavily rusted and the staff were openly hostile when we had the audacity to request that they replace them (She ate and drank from the chipped dishware).

We were traveling and stopped at this restaurant for dinner. I ordered a Greek salad which I was very much looking forward to, when I received it there was way too much dressing on it. Vinegar caused me to have a coughing attack. I wish the waiter would’ve asked me if I wanted my dressing on the side? Normally I do ask for it on the side. I had to leave the restaurant because of my coughing attack, I ate two bites of the salad, couldn’t eat anymore because it had way too much dressing. I can’t believe they still charged my husband for salad. That was so very wrong. Very disappointed!!

They bill themselves as Valdosta's oldest fine dining restaurant. I would not call chipped plates, musty air and average service "Fine Dining". The food is reasonably good, and the prices are fair. This was our second visit, and I would consider a return visit. When my wife asked for grated cheese for her pasta, she was told they do not have that. Then she was told they could give her parmesan cheese. I found it amusing. When I asked for cracked pepper for my shrimp alfredo, I was brought a plastic pepper mill by the server and told it was the only one they had in the restaurant and to please make sure none of the other servers remove it from the table. As I said, the food is fairly good, the service and decor could use some help. It is an old house. The single person bathroom is at the entrance to the kitchen. The air vents have a layer of dust and the whole place can use a deep clean. I am ambivalent about recommending this place. You just have to know what to expect. For my money, there are better dining experiences in Valdosta, even with their limited offerings.

This was an amazing place off the beaten path. Building was not impressive from the outside but really wonderful inside. It’s an old house with rooms nearly intact. Extremely cozy and welcoming. Give it a try!

Would be perfect, if air were better. Hot hot hot inside. Food delicious and sangria great, wonderful menu and not overly pricey for choices. Air is only reason for no 5.

This was our first visit to Giulio's, not sure why, after this delicious meal we feel as if we should make this our " go to place" for special occasions. It has that feel about it, service was excellent also. Friendly and attentive. No negatives, 3 of us enjoyed every single bite of our food.

This is our go-to place in town for special occasions. The food is great. The atmosphere is very relaxed and we never feel rushed. The building itself, and old house, is very unique. We just love it!

We have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Came again the other evening and had another great meal. I had the red fish dinner, my wife had the veal piccata and our daughter-in-law had the Greek plate. All were excellent and the service was fantastic.

It is a Greek/Italian restaurant in an historic house right by Valdosta State University. The food is very good offering entrees such as fish and lamb.
