Bad braised ribs

I must give you a very bad review of one menu item. I ordered "Braised Short Ribs" and got two slices of roast beef. That is a bad misrepresention, perhaps a feeling that all your customers are ignorant, ignorance on your part, or gross negligence. Neither attribute is comendable and you should correct this immediately. I should have sent it back or not paid but did not want to cause any acrimony. To be fair, I will say that I have enjoyed other items on the menu on other trips. EBB

Dining In Is Back!

During the Stay At Home period FRIENDS did an incredible job of curbside pick up. Today we ate inside and it was so nice to be back. The food great as always; terrific Cuban Sandwich and Black Eyed Pea Cake salad. Our server; Kinsey C, was awesome and just made the dining in experience so much more enjoyable. Try to get out and support our local restaurants by dining in to help them recover from the difficult economic times they faced and survived. I'd highly recommend FRIENDS as one of your first stops?

Best restaurant on Valdosta

On our road from Tennessee to Miami. Loved it! Food was delicious and exceptional service. Everything that we ordered was very good. We started with the tomato soup and margarita flatbread. We ordered the braised beef short rib and the ribeye with Brussels sprout. Absolutely exquisite. A must go!

To long to wait

I’ve eaten here 6 or so times. I live an hour away. Every time I say it’s my last due to long wait! Long wait to be seated (even if it’s early afternoon) and long wait on food. Food isn’t to bad but the wait is ridiculous!

On the way to the beach

I dislike chain restaurants so searched for a local place to stop on our way to the beach. Loved it. My 3 family members said more than once "great choice". Service and food equally good. Nice atmosphere inside and out. It is in a higher end shopping center. If there is a sign on the main road we missed that. It is at the back of the shopping center, not visible from the main road. Very worth circling the block for.

BRUNCH - disappointmentX4

We all had looked forward to having Brunch on Sunday - and ordered some of our past favorites, ie BREAKFAST STANDARD and EGGS BENNY. Unfortunately - ALL of our orders were served w/o what was advertised on menu as being served with SWEET POTATO BISCUITS. We were NOT informed prior by waitress nor server of them being out & giving substitute - TIL AFTER PLATES WERE SERVED and I inquired:( Terribly disappointed X 4 . And when one of your guests at table who's from the ATLANTA area states "Waffle House would have been better" - ahhh OOPS :(

You can't get there off of Contry Club, have to use US41. Service , food, and drinks were outstanding. Outside seating. Family friendly.

We made a reservation for 6. We were sat the moment we got there. The staff was super nice! George was the manager. He was super friendly. They have a great drink list.

Though It Would Be Better

Ordered the pasta special. They were out of gnocchi so tortellini was substituted. It was just OK. Hadn't eaten here in 5 years and had hoped the food quality would improve. The service was excellent.

Everyone talks about how good this place is. It was just okay to me. I don’t eat large portions so I didn’t like that there isn’t a small steak on the menu. The butter sauce wasn’t good either. It was all I could taste on the steak. I ate some of my friends meal and hers was better. It was something on grits. It was okay over all.

Our favorite!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this restaurant is. My husband and I go to Friends every chance we get. Everything is made in house and from scratch, even their bar syrups. I have never had anything here I didn't enjoy. One of our favorite things to order is the Soft Goat Cheese and Parmesean. It comes with these scrumptious bread triangles to dip and is just so yummy! To top it all off the servers and bartenders are all friendly and attentive. This is somewhere you must try if you are ever in Valdosta, GA or the surrounding area. You will not be dissapointed!

The food and drinks are consistently prepared. The kale salad with the sweet potato biscuit croutons is delicious! The salads are very fresh as are the ingredients in the entree dishes. The bartenders are creative and will create a custom drink for a customer.

Great restaurant and unique menu!

My wife and I were looking for a new place to try in the Valdosta area for a weekend day date. We were pleasantly surprised to find Friends. Great atmosphere, incredibly friendly staff, and a unique southern inspired menu. We tried the black-eyed pea cakes, and highly recommend them as a meal starter. I had the cheese burger, it was cooked well and flavorful, my wife had a sandwich. Both were great. We've already told several of our friends about the restaurant. It is worth checking out, we are planning to try the dinner menu selections soon.

BEST STEAK IN VALDOSTA

Chef Randy DeCoudres has hit a home run with this comfortable restaurant with upscale southern cuisine. The Ribeye is the best steak in Valdosta... period. Fresh local vegetables, cheese and meats across the menu. Daily lunch and dinner specials. Justin Stephens has special drink menus with in house hand fused spirits. Great wine list. Custom cheese and meat trays. And don’t get me started in the desserts including peanut butter pie, real southern bread pudding, and the chocolate marscopate cup. Casual.. comfortable.. delicious..

Locally delicious

First time at Friends Grille and Bar! Its a limited affair local restaurant serving freshly cooked delicacies. Lunch menu had great choices to include salads. However, I decided to dive into the pasta of the day. The food was served piping hot and was freshly made. 4-stars for longer than usual wait time. Bread pudding dessert was delicious!
